Need to improve cleaning and bathroom tray or shower! Whenever using shower is loads of water come out

Shower could be upgraded to prevent excess water going onto the bathroom floor.
Larger supply of toilet roll - 2 less than full rolls for 8 people for 3days meant we had to go out and purchase more.

Lovely old river cottage
You need properly well signed health and safety signs. up above doors eg bathroom and kitchen .what light up at night.because very low door frame s.as I and family kept banging heads on frame . which my head still sore on top .had to hang bags to stop this till left holiday.plus plug shouldn't be on floor for washing machine dangerous if flood.and hoover belt broken so had buy brush shovel and no mop bucket provided .I've been a chef for 30 year s so I am keen on ha. But I am not complaining I just love those items on holiday it's because I've been in catering industry longtime.but holiday was very nice and it's my dream home plus the best thing logbunner many thanks 😊.

Good kitchen facilities, comfortable beds and bedrooms. Location was great as we were going to a wedding at hazel gap around 10-15 mins away
The shower temperature gauge is faulty, the temperature of the water was extremely hot and we could not get it cooler.
Maybe put a warning on the description to say about low ceilings and steep, tight staircase as this would not be ideal for some individuals

The look and cosiness of the cottage was lovely with the beamed ceilings and beautifully carved wooden furniture.
Just over the road from a stream which had children paddling in it and a little beer garden and memorial garden.
The spa bath went down well with us all especially my little boy! Lovely spacious bathroom.
We did really enjoy our stay there are some things that could have made it better that i want to mention.
On arrival I opened a door in the living room (photo attached), my 3 year old son stepped through it almost falling down the steps to the cellar. Only because i grabbed him he didnt fall down. This door did have a bolt on it but no sign which i strongly advise gets put on to avoid accidents. We thought it may lead into an outdoor area however there isnt a garden just chairs to put outside front of house.
The advert stated a washing machine and dryer however there wasn't a dryer and nowhere outdoors to dry washing so we had to leave it in kitchen on maiden but then couldnt use those clothes again as they didnt dry overnight.
We were sent the wrong PIN code for keyboard so took a while longer to get in but once I called the number on booking we were given the correct code easily.
Property overall clean (bedding, surfaces ect) but when looking for keys we found quite a few crumbs under couch cushions. Also thick dust on skirting boards behind single beds discovered when pushing beds together.
Not enough beds to accommodate our stated party, the advert states 2 double beds in one room but they were 2 singles, luckily 3 of the guests never ended up coming so we were OK.
Steep stairs which my mum struggled with.
The water coming from the shower had a funny smell to it.
Kitchen blinds left open during heatwave weekend so the room was room too hot to sit in on arrival.

Lovely quirky cottage. Ideal location for lots of places.
Up to date local information in information pack. Attention to window blinds that were broken and did not shut.

Loved the layout, spent every evening in the kitchen - excellent social space. Didn't feel the need to use the 2 sitting rooms, but they did look lovely too.
Suited our family perfectly.

The facilities were excellent with everything you could possibly need.
The church (oppposite) bells ring every 15 minutes, 24/7. It takes some getting used to but that was the only negative if you are a light sleeper.

Well decorated and furnished, exactly as advertised, cosy, good pub and restaurant in very easy walking distance.
A couple of door lintels are a bit hobbit-esque. Mind your head.

Comfortable, lots of character, well equipped, Fireplace was a bonus, and added atmosphere.
Low doorways were a challenge for some, but are part of the appeal of the cottage.
