It was nice, quite and the neighbors were especually nice. To call it a "Lake Cabin" might be stretching it a bit. We have a 4WD vehicle so, no problem. Price was a bit high for what you get but, all in all, it was a wonderful stay.

Beautiful area of TN with rolling hills and just far enough from a town for a perfect getaway. Easy enough to get to the water, ample state parks near by, and cozy home. The house had everything we needed for a little family getaway! Neighbors were kind and even our dogs enjoyed their stay! 10/10 would recommend for anyone looking to getaway from reality for a couple days (and still have WiFi for the kiddos if need be.)

Very quiet get away
Enjoyed it. There were mice in the building which worried my sister in law a little but we still had a sweet time. Very quiet

On our own
We had a great time loved the cabin. It was definitely secluded. I was a little nervous the first night but it was fine afterwards. We did not go out after dark. :) The neighbors were really friendly. I would come again but I would make sure that I brought everything that I needed because it was a bit of a drive to go anywhere. It would be for a quiet restful getaway. If you wanted to hide away, this is the place to go......

It was in a desolate area and we did not feel safe. Also access was close to impossible when it rains. We did not even stay there because of the safety concerns.

Great Get Away.
Was relaxing but grill brush was missing and grill was dirty. Overall a great place to unwind.

Amazing Cabin
This was a very nice cabin. Beautiful view. Clean rooms and bathroom. Very nice that the kitchen had food stocked. My kids loved the bunk beds. Perfect cabin for a weekend get away. Only 2 complaints: The coffee maker did not work and the grill was not useable. Because it was covered in mold. Besides that, it was a lovely stay.

Cozy cabin in the woods
Cute little cottage in the woods. Quiet and relaxed location. Easy to get to hiking and water activities at Rock Island, or for a slightly longer trek, to Fall Creek or Burgess Falls. Thanks for a great stay.

Cliff side hangout
We spent 4 days enjoying this cabin,
Clean and comfortable. Great neighbors across the drive.
When they say secluded, they were not kidding. Enjoyed the deck and grill and laughter.
Thank you Mellisa

Had fun
It was a great time. Didn’t have to contact property manager so can’t really give stars for that.

Short of expectation for price paid - deceiving presentation!
To start off cabin it’s not worth the price paid. It’s been the worst rental experience we ever had. I need positive note, the cabin is cozy and well presented-that I give it, but not clean! After driving 10 hours upon arrival I spent 15 minutes sweeping out the porch and removing spiderwebs, definitely not like the picture showed did not use the barbecue grill because it was covered with webs and it look nasty. The cabin Inside looked presentable but we had to dust the master bedroom ceiling fan-had about a quarter of an inch dust on it; had to take the vacuum and wipes to clean, also The spare bedrooms shelf had to be dusted so that my wife could put our grandson‘s clothes on it and NO-there is no closet, so we couldn’t hang up any of our clothes most of it had to stay in luggage or fold it in the dresser. My wife does not enjoy wearing wrinkled clothes so that was a biggie for us. We wouldn’t have rented the cabin if it did not have closet space. One may get by with a small family of 3-4, but anything bigger everything would have to be kept in the luggage’s. Also the master bed sheets were dirty we noticed at the end when we removed the comforter that the sheets had yellow and black hair n black spots on it towards the foot of the bed; third day in wife and I noticed that our back‘s and legs were starting to itch. we didn’t think anything of it thought it might be insect bite since we went to the falls but then realize it must have been the bed sheets. And last the refrigerator was full of open jars which with the COVID-19 epidemic is not a safe practice. As far as a view there is none all the trees are overgrown nothing maintained and that’s all you see right outside your window. I thought there was a view of the river but there wasn’t. In fact it’s a 15 to 20 minute walk to the river-once I got there it was not clean there was trash around n it smelt like somebody had just smoked weed in the area. I did reach out to Melissa, hostess in charge of our booking, via text-tried calling but my calls dropped, terrible wireless service in the area. I send her some pictures and she did quickly apologize for the condition of the cabin, but only offer me a refund of the cleaning charges, which was minimal. I replied, thanks. But for the work I had to do and the disappointment, I felt 20% discount would be appropriate. She never replied back n haven’t gone any refund! We wouldn’t recommend renting this cabin! Poor customer service!

CHL weekend
We had a very relaxing weekend stay. The cabin is decorated nice and has a cozy feel. It is off the beaten path but we liked that. I saw other reviews mention tricky road conditions but they are not bad. I would point out that there is no icemaker so best to bring bagged ice. Very clean, cozy cabin. Perfect for a couple.

Thanksgiving 2020
Our family enjoyed a quaint get-away in this wooded, river-side property! It provided a sweet location for a Thanksgiving dinner, game nights, and exploring. The owners responded quickly to questions, and the neighbors were friendly!

Dock convenience
We wanted to stay close to this particular marina because our sons boat was docked there. As I had read in previous re Jews, the road to the cabin is much to be desired. However, don’t let outside appearances fool you. It was clean and had nearly everything required for dining and lounging. Thank goodness for WiFi, we had some communications. Cell phones don’t work in that area of the lake. Thank you also for quick response to emails and registration.

Clean, updated, plentiful, & cute as a button
This place was super clean & decorated cute as a button. There was nothing I wanted for; this rental boasted everything our family of 7 wanted to be cozy after long days of hiking.... a large bathroom with a washer/ dryer, plenty of comfy seating & sofa blankets to DIY l enjoy a family movie together, & a dining room table big enough for the whole fam to eat dinner together. The kitchen had everything I need to prepare dinner each night. & I was so thankful she had plenty of extra clean sheets available, as I'd forgotten to bring along sheets for our portable crib. I'd recommend this place to a friend.

Nice Secluded Cabin
We had a great stay and were very comfortable. The place was clean and perfect for us. The instructions for the stay were very clear and communication was quick and responsive. We were very happy to have a place that allowed us to bring our dogs. It is a bit isolated so just be prepared to bring your groceries with you. I liked all the rustic decor. Very nice place!

Great host, great accommodations
Great host, great accommodations! Location is good and remote. House is one of five or six others on the same road. Outside of some loud music next door and noise from boaters going back and forth on the lake just below the cabin, it was very peaceful. No real water view while the leaves are still on the trees but I'm sure it looks amazing during the Fall. We enjoyed hearing the lapping of the water against the shoreline while grilling and eating out on the porch. More experienced hikers might be able to make it down to the water behind the house but a neighbor informed us that the water could be reached by hanging a right at the start of the road instead. The roads in the area are not car friendly. You would best be served by having a vehicle that can handle itself well regardless of road conditions and sits higher than a car (although it was kind of fun bumping around all over the roads while navigating the area hahaha). House was more than expected. Bed/bath linens provided, some extra toiletries were available. Full sized washer/dryer came in handy. Kitchen was well stocked - dishwasher, mic, stove, toaster, coffee maker, good dishes, cutlery, pot/pans, cooking utensils, salt/pepper, foil, some storage containers. Living room was comfortable, well lit, and cozy. We played some of the board and card games in the cabinet. Cabin was ideally located to a couple of different state parks. We had a great time and really enjoyed unplugging and disconnecting from city life for a few days. Thanks so much for an enjoyable weekend!

Felt like home! Thankyou!!!
Honestly we traveled for many years for work and this is defiantly #1 as far as relaxation! There are neighbors close by but are all very friendly and our 2 dogs were in heaven there! There are other dogs that roam free so if you have a dog that isn't good with others, I feel people should know this. The cabin itself was so comfortable! Felt like home!! The only problem we had was it was listed as a "lake view" property and you can not see the lake, but can hear the boats. When we come back to see my parents and sister will defiantly look to book here againn! Thankyou for sharing your home!

Incredibly Responsive
This place is perfectly quaint, perfectly secluded, and perfectly quiet. We travel a lot so "unexpecteds" come up often. The owner, Melissa, was incredibly detailed in her responses and responded to each inquiry within minutes making what could have been a major inconvenience nothing more than a phone call instead. The cabin is very secluded so if you are looking to truly get away, this is the place! There is no cell service at the cabin but there is wi-fi so it is truly perfect for a small family to get off the grid for a while and spend rare quality time together. It slept 4 teenage girls and an adult very comfortably. Rock Island was only 20 minutes away and the girls loved the absolutely beautiful waterfalls and rock formations. Lighthouse restaurant was amazing. The bread twists are an absolute must! Make sure to get groceries on the way in - the closest convenience store is 20 min. away.If you get up early enough, you can see the chipmunks and the turkeys right outside! Truly a special place. We are ever so thankful.

Beautiful property overlooking water.
Had a great time here! Really can't say anything negative about it. So many supplies were provided from cooking oil, foil, etc. to even shampoo and a hairdryer. This was great to have as a store wasn't just down the road. We had a fun day at Rock Island State Park hiking seeing beautiful waterfalls. I highly recommend it!

Perfect getaway!
Everything about this cabin, from its accommodations to its location, was exactly what we were looking for. We came from New Orleans specifically to see the solar eclipse and it couldn't have worked out any better. Our group of 5 slept very comfortably and any questions we had were easily answered by one of the friendly neighbors.
We only had 1 day to find a suitable viewing location and explore the area before the eclipse. Our first stop was the marina and we instantly knew we had found our spot. That took 10 minutes, so we had the rest of the day to explore. Rock Island state park was beautiful and the waterfalls were gorgeous. The entire area was picturesque and so nice to be out of a big city. At night the sky was so clear and full of stars. We spent a lot of time outside on the deck just taking in the view.
The morning of the eclipse we packed up and went down to the marina. We started the day as the only patrons of Fishlipz Grill, watching the boats come and go. It was a gorgeous day and a few short hours later, we shared 2 minutes and 31 seconds of totality with 20-30 other people on the dock of the marina. That moment was perfect! It wasn't crowded, we had access to a bathroom, food, and drinks, and the scenery of the lake in the valley was breathtaking....absolutely perfect!!! It was truly a trip of a lifetime.
Thank you so much for helping make that moment so magical!

Would definitely stay again beautiful
Parking was a little tight but the neighbors are nice and let us Park in their yard I would suggest riding together if you can...fishlipz Marina right down the road which was a blast, but there was also a path right to the water right down the street from the house which if you have a four-wheel drive truck you could easily take your boat or your jet ski out on the water without having to go to the marina which was amazing it was pretty much all to ourselves our own private getaway.. the cabin was small but had a ton of room the Florida room was amazing and the views were really nice and could be even more beautiful during the fall time but lack of a grill was very disappointing luckily I brought my own I will definitely stay here again just a short drive from Murfreesboro let me to paradise

Cute and comfy cabin, nice getaway!
Cabin is hidden away and private. Very nicely appointed inside, plenty of seating in the living room and at the table. Comfortable and clean! We enjoyed our stay and it was the perfect getaway during a stressful situation at home.

Great little cabin, very remote - 4.5 stars
The cabin was cozy, clean and comfortable. Perfect for a weekend away. The only drawback we experienced was that GPS didn't pinpoint the location well and we arrived after dark and really struggled to find the place. Aside from that minor hiccup, we had a nice stay.

Cabin was very cute and had everything we needed
Marina was just a short drive from the cabin. The cabin felt secluded without being too far away from things.
