Was groot appartement

Was erg gedateerd . Was een vies appartement Spinnenwebben overal , vieze kruimels nog in de keuken badkamer met schimmel Gordijn gang was kapot Oud is prima maar het moet wel schoon zijn zeker voor het geld Gelukkig was het bed wel goed dus toch nog kunnen slapen

The size and that it's close to Obertraun and the lake view is stunning. On first impression the apartment looks good... But then you notice the details

Cobwebs everywhere. Dining room chairs were falling apart. Shower drain blocked and flooded when showering. Shower head had only 1 powerful setting. Very shabby. I wouldn't stay again

Pleasant

The property itself 2 km away from the reception. The room really needs to be refreshed. The floor is very squeaky, the drain in the shower is blocked and no one showed up to fix it (we asked). We got one tiny bottle of shampoo and body wash for THREE PERSONS for FOUR DAYS stay and they refused to renew it when we asked.

Exceptional

The room is spacious, it's like a one bedroom apartment. The view from balcony was amazing, the restaurant at the resort was good, the location of the resort where the reception is, is an amazing location which is at the back of the lake surrounded by mountains on all sides 😊

The reception and hotel are in different places (approx 1km away). The room was perfect, it had a kettle but no coffee/sugar sachets which can be included in the room.

Wonderful upgrade to Dormio Resort Obertraun. Magical location.

When we arrived, it was the off season. Most restaurants, shops, and hotels were closed. However, we were upgraded to a stay at Dormio Resort Obertraun and it was beautiful. Right by the lake. The food was also delicious and the staff helpful and friendly.

We walked from the train station to this hotel to find a sign on the door directing us to go back past the train station and check in at the other hotel because this hotel was closed during the short off season. It would have been nice to know before arriving that we needed to check in at the different hotel.

Go to the Dormio Resort istead of the Gasthof Höllwirt

Big and spaceous room with lots of areas to store your luggage. The same stands for the bathroom as well. It was the cheapest at the time I did the reservation, however, it turned out that the Dormio Resort was cheaper than the Gasthof Höllwirt. That's a pitty because the Dormio Resort seemed nicer.

Different location for the check in while the room is located on a completely different area. On top of that there was personnel during the check in. They had to be there since we arrived between the working hours of the reception. We wanted to tell them if there was a room in the Dormio Resort istead of the Gasthof Höllwirt that we stayed but there was no person to ask. The place were the Gasthof Höllwirt is located was kind of spooky. The building seemed like it was abandonded. Huge mistake, the fact that they don't have black out curtains.

Well not a great one but fair enough.

The location of the resort and the view from the room.

Some basic utility items were missing like bathrobes, room slippers, liquid soap in the bathroom etc. Also a big dissapointment was even though there was a kettle in the room there were no coffee or milk capsules, sugar, or anything. No items in the mini bar. NO WATER also for emergency. We expected much better amenities. Not worth the money.

Nice location, check-in not at the apartment but at resort near station

The location is just amazing. The staff was generally friendly and even took care of our special requests for the rooms. Rooms are very spacious and have a cozy atmosphere. Bug enough for a couple. The bathroom was big with modern amenities. The bed was nicely done. It was amazing to see snow capped peaks right outside the window. That was a big highlight for us.

Instructions for room check-in were not sent in advance. We had to walk back 20mins for check-in. Unfortunately did koy read the reviews earlier about a similar experience. There was no communication and this was a big negative for us. The room was not very clean. There were cobwebs and dirt and other stuff from previous guests.

Disappointing

There was no staff at the property when we reached. It felt like a deserted house. Check-in time was 2 PM and that is when the caretaker arrived to set up our room. We had to wait 30 mins outside the room while the sheets were replaced. Also, for the breakfast, we were told to walk 1km to a different resort of which this house was part of. Very dissatisfied.

Overall a nice place to stay and they provide a good breakfast in a really nice hall in Obertraun resort.

Obertraun is really beautiful and Hallstatt is also nearby. Easy to find the Appartements. Nice view of the mountains. spacious room and nice bathroom at least for one the rooms.

Check in was in a different location, in Obertraun Resort and we weren’t informed about that so by luck a lady cleaning the dormitory informed me about it. unless I missed it. In general it could have been a bit cleaner and the second room didn’t have a very nice bathroom.

Nice location, great people but bad organization

nice position for hiking and visitin Hallstatt

we had to DRIVE to the resort for breakfast and were not informed about that in advance. The restaurant will also be closed for dinner for two weeks but there is no info about it on booking🙁

Great morning view, fresh air and nature in the middle of the mountains

Great view from the balcony! Super calm village and comfy bed giving us some of the best sleep we had in recent months :) the apartment was bigger than expected, with a furnished kitchen and a separate living room with sofa bed. Only 10 minutes away from Hallstatt.

All good with the apartment and location :) just keep in mind there are limited choices in terms of restaurants in both Olbertraun and Hallstatt

Poor

Hotel was empty when we arrived, doors open. The room was dirty: sheets not changed, bathroom dirty. We ended up staying in another hotel (Dormio Resort Obertraun) - luckily the staff there was very good and arranged a room for us.

Spacious and with great view

The apartment was spacious and comfortable. The view from the balcony was stunning. Well equipped. The stuff was very helpful and polite

You could see that it has a few years and it needs a refresh. Some furniture needs to be changed

Not the best experience.

Location

Staff member didn’t know where our room was. She may have been new, but she was very confused to where room 2 was. On 2nd floor all utility rooms where open with dirty linen everywhere. We were charge for breakfast and couldn’t have it because it was offered offsite and due to rail construction, there was no way to access the breakfast facilities. They would not refund our breakfast.

Difficult but worth it

The apartment was clean and comfortable, quiet and the location and view were great.

However, the check-in process was a bit of a mess. We didn’t receive any check in instructions so naturally we went at the property to find someone. There was nobody there and the phone we were given was ringing in the closed restaurant. After waiting 20 min we went to eat and 3 hours later we got a message that we need to pick up the keys at a location 15 min away from the property. We also needed to leave the keys at the other Dormio location for the check-out process.

Fine appartment

We got a big appartment for our 3 nights stay. It was clea . Kitchen had a welcome kit (soap, brush, dish washer pads). Walking distance from the lake. 2 mins walk from the supermarket (expensive) and 15 mins walk from the partner resort. Free parking Terrasse and garden. Locked box to get the keys.

The persons taking care of the House/Restaurant were sick so everything was closed so we couldn’t try any food. We would expect a washing machine for this size of appartment. Perhaps there was one within thw facilities but as no one was there we couldn t ask. The toilet would make noise for each usage and also while using the shower it would start to smell as it uses the same drain system.

Stay somewhere else!

The only thing that is nice about the guest house is the location

The guest house is an old inn the is a satellite to a resort 1 mile away. The front desk has no attendant. The guest house is dark, gloomy, run down and unkept. Our room was not clean and still had trash from the previous guests. Broken wine glass and cigarette butts on our balcony The rooms are way overpriced. The restaurant was closed, no where to eat accept the resort down the road. Stay away from this place!!

Great for relaxing

The ammenities at the resort are wonderful, and the breakfast is excellent. Its perfect for enjoying a day off and relax by the lake.

The hotel was 15 minutes away from the resort (walking), and there was no body at the reception for the checkout, so we leaved the keys at the bar.

Great room & breakfast in Obertraun

Room was very clean and spacious. comfortable bed. Great spacious shower. There was also a clothing room !. Nice view of the mountains from the window. Very good breakfast, large variety (served in the Obertraun Resort, ~10min walk)

One minor thing- Very early sunrise during summer. If you're sleep gets easily interrupted you should bring eye cover. , The curtains didn't block the sun light, so I woke up early (though my partner didn't mind and he kept on sleeping)

Disappointed

The apartment we had was spacious. The location of the guesthouse is in walking distance to the lake, the staff is friendly.

I asked in advance if they can prepare for us the sofa bed that was advertised. They did not. Cleanliness is not the best. While I was looking for blankets to prepare the sofa bed (which they didnt) I found one that had blood stain on it … The railing on the balcony is not safe for kids. one of the desk has almost fallen off.

Good, but...

The guest house belongs to a larger resort so the resort facilities like gym are included. The room was clean and big, all the decorations in common areas and room are nice - in winter it is probably a fairytale. The breakfast was nice even though far away. Kind of convenient that it was possible to leave the luggage after check out in the resort which is closer to the train and bus station.

It was written on Booking.com that check-in starts at 14:00. When I appeared at 13:45 I was told that the room will not be ready until 15:00 and before that I can walk somewhere (?!).That was in the pouring rain... Also I should have read the reviews more closely to know in advance that the breakfast is 10 minutes walk away. There is no personnel on sight most of the time, for check out I also had to go to the main resort. All the rooms are upstairs and there is no elevator - was not a problem for me, but maybe good to know.

It's super confusing for the people who come by train to visit Halstatt. Whenever travelling to this location make sure u get down directly in Obetraun railway station instead of Hallstatt this will save you money and time .
