The location is very handy, and the rooms are clean.
The room could do with a table or vanity unit as storagespace is not great given the size of the room.

Was particularly grateful that they were able to store my bag after I checked out.
Bit difficult to find the way in, which is through the restaurant. Had to wait for a while to check in as restaurant staff busy with other customers.
Nice to have fresh milk, but it was on the turn, and not enough of it.
10am check out a bit early.

Location was good for what we needed. The bed was comfortable.
Room was very basic and dated. Staff on arrival were unfriendly, but on departure were nice.

Nicely organised clean studio apartment with comfortable bed. Tea etc useful for one night stay. Great location for events at The Kings Hall and good access to restaurants etc., although if you want to eat on a Saturday night at The Quarter at Potbank you’ll need to book at least a week in advance!
Pillows too soft and a headboard really should be there. Would have been nice to have side lights on both sides of the bed. No reason not to have toilet roll holder in bathroom and the temperature control on shower was inconsistent. Soundproofing between apartments not great.

Put it on the booking form that we were booking for my graduation, and the stay turned into nothing but a nightmare. Emailed ahead of time to let them know our car broke down and the rail strikes were making it hard for us to get there before the check-in closes, they told us they would only stay open for an extra half hour and wanted to remind us after that time our booking is non-refundable. Got there only 10 minutes after the check-in originally closes and they did not infact stay open for us. The whole journey there honestly just put a dark cloud over the rest of the stay and the car park security attendant was more help than any of the rest of the hotel staff.

Two ensuite bedrooms linked by a small galley kitchen makes a good set up for sharing space with friend(s), having a coffee etc. Kitchen has plenty of glasses, cups, bowls and washing up products. There wasn't a communal space in our apartment (other Potbank apartments do offer this - if you need sitting area, make sure to book one of those), however there were two armchairs in one of the bedrooms which meant we could sit in group and not on the bed. Nice clean modernized rooms with good ensuite shower rooms. The separately owned and run Quarter at Potbank restaurant downstairs is great for quality and sizeable breakfasts, and is a Mexican restaurant in the evenings (advisable to book) - plenty of atmosphere and good service there. Info on how to get room key from lock box was texted beforehand, and the person at the end of the texts was responsive - hence easy to get into the apartment.
Parking is a huge issue as the Quarter restaurant is very popular - there are other car parks in the vicinity but that's not what you want when staying overnight at the hotel. The formerly-public car park over the road is now privately owned so no longer an 'overflow' option. Not a 'complaint' but worth knowing that hotel staff are available only by phone and text message (they are responsive) - i.e. there is no hotel reception. It's really a rented apartment / room where either a key box or restaurant check-in is required to get the room keys (cards).

Room was comfortable and clean and good shower. Nice little kitchen
Very noisy, very hot. Room directly above a restaurant and bar playing music until midnight. Windows barely let in any fresh air but did appreciate the fan provided.

Mostly everything
The lounge area was very poor. Comfortable armchairs required. With lighting to assist reading. Also small shelving in my bathroom would have been useful to lodge shaving and tooth cleaning items.

Good size, clean and fitted out requirements.
The main bedroom didn’t have a door so we had to keep the TV really really low while the baby was sleeping. Also, no one available on check out so had to hunt around for ages to find out where to leave key card. Also, wasn’t sure how my deposit of £50 would be refunded. We rang the night porter line in the end even though this was about 9am in the morning and left a message advising that we had pushed the key card under the reception hatch.

The best place we've stayed for a long time. Clean, lots of towels, enough pillows, what's not to like?
There wasn't anywhere in the kitchen to plug the kettle in.
Not sure about the plug socket behind the pillows?

Very good experience. Actually it is very suitable for couples or families to live in. Kitchen range and fridge/tableware available. Reasonable price and good service. Nice staff.
The bed of double room is a bit small and too soft for me. When I wanted to turn over, the bed squeaked a lot and I was afraid of waking my partner up. Only liquid soap available for shower.

Upon returning to the accommodation during the evening the door lock on one of the rooms would not open the door. The night porter tried opening the door, couldn't and his response was simply to shrug, tell us the battery in the lock must be dead and there was nothing he could do, and nobody he could contact so we should just go and sleep on the couches in reception. We finally had a response at 10am the following day by a maintenance man why simply opened the door, told us the night porter was lying then left. Very, very poor customer service

This is the 2nd time I have stayed here and it is perfect for what we needed it for. Comfortable beds for the night, shower was superb, very spacious.
My only negative for this times stay was somebody pushing around what sounded like trolleys around 11pm at night. Not sure if it was from the bar or cellar but was quite loud as it was right underneath our room outside.

Apartment was beautiful, really clean and well designed. Couldn't believe there were 2 televisions! Restaurant was lovely, we had a Mexican meal in the evening and a great breakfast.
Food was a little pricey.
