The hotel was SUPERB and some of the reviews on booking.com are frankly unbelievable. Someone complained about breakfast - it was FANTASTIC, with fresh orange juice and wonderful choice of food, someone else complained about the food in the restaurant- it was EXCELLENT and of the highest quality and another moaned about the young staff, they were super friendly, efficient and professional.
I am not sure what some people want but having been to almost a hundred UK hotels this is one of the very very best! The icing on the cake is the FREE live music every night in the wonderful bar. Wow!
Nothing other than the ridiculous reviews moaning about it when it is so obviously a 10/10 rating. In fact it should be 11/10 due to be the live music.

Very comfortable hotel, staff very attentive. Good choice of breakfast and served until late, so no rushing in the mornings.
Good atmosphere in the evenings, busy but well run bar, live music.
Bathrooms would benefit from a proper shower, as against a shower over a bath.

The bedroom is uber comfortable, slept incredibly well. Breakfast was tasty. David was a gent, made the whole process very easy and we got engaged so a memorable weekend to say the least!
Showers take time to warm up. If you're at the front of the hotel, you can hear the music in the bar below.

The breakfast was terrific. The staff were AMAZING! They went above and beyond to help. David even drove my daughter to the Burren College of Art as we were unable to obtain a taxi. Absolutely tremendous! Thank you so much.
There was nothing we didn’t like.

Large room, very comfortable and clean beds, the location is wonderful and the staff is professional and kind.
Plentiful breakfast for a reasonable price, tasty Irish and continental choices.
Bathroom had an enjoyable shower but I couldn't fail to notice the mold growing on some parts, definitely something to be improved.
Bedside lamps didn't have power.
