Hög standard på rummet och bra frukost.

Hyvin varusteltu keittiö. Rauhallinen alue erillään muista mökeistä. Henkilökunta oli mukavaa niinkuin aikaisemmilla kerroillammekin. Saariselkä n. 30 kilometrin päässä. Poroja vastaanottorakennuksen pihalla.

overall great place for travelers, the location is near the national park which makes it a perfect place for hiking/ski. great breakfast and lunch and the staff was the best.
the facilities- bathroom and shower was away from the room. at -20c that’s unpleasant.
4.1
The apartment has been very comfortable, clean and offered great views and excellent coffee. The personnel at the reception has been extraordinarily helpful (special thanks to the lady from Australia who has helped with lots of questions and issues)
To be honest breakfast wasn’t great, that’s really the only thing to complain about. Not too many veggie options and limited choice. Apart from that this stay has been magical.

with the price, we cannot complaint. everything is great

Cosy restaurant, very good breakfast, great service, some beautiful offroad cross country tracks nearby.
Shower building for the little houses was a bit shabby. Houses can also use better curtains.
4.1
The location is nice, lots of snow and nature (winter visit). Nearby to Saariselka Ski resort. OK restaurant in the Village. There is a sweet white reindeer the kids can feed. Proper heating in the cabins/apartments.
Soundproofing of the apartments is just bad. Neighbours had a night-talking session (no music or dancing, etc.) and we could hear everything. Also 20EUR payment for using a shed with a fireplace (stays empty most of the time). Also the complex has no backup generator and the power was down a couple of times (short outages but still annoying in the polar night).
4.1
Everything was well functioning and breakfast offered was competitive. Place is also accessible by bus since it is located by big road, where bus stop is.
Sauna should be free of charge.
4.1
The cabin was original and cheap.
The cabin was very cold, and we had just enough firewood to make it a bit warmer for a couple hours. Additional firewood had an extra cost. The shared facilities (toilets, showers and kitchen) were dirty.

really cute little village in the middle of nature! concept is amazing and the staff was super nice!
the beds were a bit hard because of really thin mattresses.

We appreciate a lot the fireplace and the whole planning of the room. Very cozy and hot. Somebody with a big heart made it. It is small but perfectly organised. Everything you need is there. Very good place to stay and rest.
If some little woodchips would be in the room, it would be easier to make the fire. We used our axe to make them ourselves:)

Very nice room, best position

Very nice people, when even had a flat tyre and someone from the gold village helped us à lot. Thank you Marko ! Room was confortable and brand new.
Breakfast only opens at 9:00, it was a bit late as our 2 years old daughter woke up at 7:30 ^^

All perfect over there

Wonderful people , beautiful area , quite but close to activities and reindeer on the property. What's not to love?

Great place, forget about those high brow crazy Saariselkæ Finnish hotel mafia hotels and restaurants!!!A bit further to drive (40 km from Saariselkæ skiing center) but tou save most of your money. One night in Tankavaar saves you between 1500 and 2000 NOK(divide with 10 for Euros) a night!...
All was PERFECT!!

The place is absolutely amazing on its own. The price vs quality is extraordinary.

Everything was great, we loved this little cabin! The girl at the reception was super nice and friendly and we ate a super tasty mushrooms soup at the restaurant.

Very clean, super nice staff, amazing food and unbelievably cozy cabins!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Tankavaara Gold Village. We booked a small cottage/cabin and we liked it very much. It looked very comfy and cute and is surrounded by nature. Beds were not our favourites, quite hard mattresses, but maybe that's part of the experience. We liked creating our own fire in the fireplace. The sanitary building was not even a minute walk from our cabin and was always clean. Also the kitchen was clean.
Had dinner two times in the restaurant and it was actually the best food we ate during our holiday, definitely reccommend to have dinner while staying there.
Also had a good experience with the reception, they were very helpfull and friendly. We had a problem with our booked snowmobile tour which got cancelled and they helped us out with booking a new one.
The environment is very pretty and quite. There are 3 hikes to enjoy (1,3,6 km) We did all of them and we liked the 6km hike the most. It brings you up to a hill with a magnificent view, there is also a special viewing point.
We were wondering if we could see the Northern Lights over there, because of all the trees...but there are enough open spaces to catch them. We saw them for two nights and it was an amazing experience.
Definitely recommend this place and we hope that we will be able to come back some day :)

That was a wonderful experience. We were very lucky to get three nights (incl. New Year night) where the Aurora Borealis appeared, just stunning!! Beautiful surrounding scenery too. Food was plentiful and a good variety. Service very helpful.
Children thoroughly enjoyed their stay in a Cottage. Fathers enoyed snowmobiles ;) and everyone loved husky safari nerby.

This is the most atmospheric hotel we have ever been to. You feel like traveling back in time due to museum and decorations of the public places, restaurant and cabins. And there are two charming reindeer next to the main building. The territory is accessible and there are accessible cabins too.
Big Wow & Chapeau to the owner and stuff!
Absolutely nothing.
4.1
Very warm hearted staff, yummy breakfast, interesting gold panning and snow shoes tour activities.
A little limited facilities in the room.

Breakfast was quite good. The hotel was really peaceful, the nature was perfect and the personnel were very friendly. It was really a great destination for a silent holiday within the nature.
We requested a double bed, but we had two single beds in the bedroom. It was written that there was a coffee machine in the room but there was not. But still we had a really nice time there, so these were only very little problems and we did not care about them very much.

Very nice and helping staff. A 3-course meal option, also a good option for vegan and vegetarian food.
Very nice and spacious cottage. There is a fireplace that is ready to use in the room.
The common kitchen has good options for cooking and storing food.
There are lots of activities present and also you can book other activities like a snowmobile, a husky safari at the reception.
There was good bus connectivity between airport and nearby city.
The toilet was a little bit unclean and smelly. The WIFI is only present at the reception but it was already mentioned.

Fireplace at the restaurant.

The overall atmosphere of this place is great. I stayed during the winter and the entire gold village was covered in a thick pack of snow, making it very photogenic. You get a beautiful and cozy cottage with a fireplace, which gives you all the privacy you need. Also the price is relatively low in comparison with many other properties in Lapland.
The cottages don't have WIFI.

Beautiful place and very nice staff. Highly recommended.

Beautifull Area, traditional cottage, comfortable hotel rooms, very interesting Gold museum and super restaurant with saloon inkl billiard and nice hiking trails. Love his place
