The room was a good size for my brother and I. We liked that the bathroom facilities were right next door to our room especially with the heavy rain. We also appreciated that we could park both our vehicles even with a small inflatable boat attached to one of the vehicles.
The shower room could do with some better lighting. A deck light would've been nice for sitting at the table and with having to go outside for bathroom facilities. A can opener in the kitchen would've been handy too. In mentioning these things however they are not a negative on our stay and choosing to stay again or recommending this campground to others.

We were in a section below the manager’s residence (unit 10 ) It’s okay that it is old but it was dirty. We had to wash the dishes and other kitchen equipment before we could use it. That’s not okay, regardless of the price. There was constant noise from the residence above ( foot traffic )
The manager didn’t know what room we were to be in until we told him how much we had paid! We felt very unwelcome.
Seems to be very poorly managed!

Was able to park right outside cabin.
Where do I start, arrival time was 4-6pm, arrived 5.40pm office closed on arrival, no light on, indequate information on office door to locate manager, when manager arrived it felt I had inconvienienced him! No Welcome to Whitianga Camp Ground, but did get pointed in direction to where cabin was, not escorted to cabin etc. Shared Toilet was locked each night in which I messaged him 3 times no response via booking.com and his mobile number! To add, I saw men disappear behind trees to toilet because of the locked toilet. I don't believe it was blocked as each day it was opened again? I would not recommend this place. Bread board in kitchen still had bread crumbs from previous occupants, curtains were unhooked on ends, easy fixes but not attended to, kitchen knife broken so abolutely useless, extemely tired and drab facilities.

beds very uncomfortable.

Allocated parking spot by cabin, front deck with seating, back deck with seating, recliner, and access to canal for canoeing. BIkes and canoes available. Beds all comfortable, bathroom was all good with good water pressure and hot water. Clean, comfy seating in lounge. Great kitchen table and reasonable number and quality of plates/utensils etc
No sky. TV freeview pretty patchy. Remote was broken. Window in bedroom was broken so could not close, which might be a problem in winter.

Location great, close to beach. Relaxing surroundings as we're the other campers. Very helpful staff, shared toilets clean.
Needs updating, advert suggested biggar cabin. Paid 300 dollars for 1 cabin per night, that's a bit expensive for what you get..what you see in the photo is 3 cabins, so it was not correct that we were charged for 2 and only had 1...

Was good size studios
Booking.com system
I booked for x amount of people and booking.com only sent through some of the number of people which I ended up having to pay more which made me look like I was trying to rip the poor guy off.
He was really understanding. Error from this site to him but we cleared it all up

The light was left on for us when we arrived.
It was very dirty, not enough linen was left for the amount of people booked in for. Bedm mattrasses did not fit bed base, so was unstable.

At the time it was just fine. Not sure what it would have been like with a group of rowdy people who drink.
Just our TV didn't want to go, no biggie.
Suggest taking a laptop with himi

Big place
The staff is not friendly, we asked for a heater because it was cold (a week before easter) and the male staff said that it's crazy for us to ask for a heater at that time of the year, & and that people only use heater after Easter. He did provide us with the heater though, even though we said it's fine & that we could just layer ourselves up. But still, put us all in a bad mood since he basically scolded us. :)

It was quiet.
There were massive cockroaches everywhere. I saw at least 4 very very big ones and when I went to get a glass of water one jumped on my hand as it was sitting on the tap. Not good. Poor sleep due to the fact that I was waiting for them in bed !!!!!
