Hotel in fantastic location and view would have been great if not spoilt.
View spoilt by scaffolding (Paid premium for room for it to be spoilt. Lengthy complaint sent to hotel but no reply received.
Also no parking permits where all the other hotels in vicinity had them (Excuse was council had not sent them) Cost over £35 to pay for parking . Car had to be moved regularly to avoid parking fines. Scaffolding was on the rear of the building spoilt what was a fantastic view. Have sent all information to hotel who have not replied

Arrived very early as we were attending a family funeral. We were offered breakfast and accept to room to freshen up. Room had the perfect view of Weymouth bay. A little early in the year for a break. We were very happy with our accommodation and breakfasts were spot on. Look forward to visiting again.

fantastic location with wonderful view. Comfortable room, friendly host and an excellent breakfast

Great location, by the historic harbour. Great walks nearby even in the dusk. Excellent breakfast. I only selected a single bed room so the price was good value for money. The bed was comfortable and I slept well.

The location was perfect with instant access to the beach, harbour-side and shops. The welcome was warm and the exterior, entrance and dining area tastefully decorated. Because of the time of year there was ample on-road parking and a parking permit was given to me by my lovely hosts although these are on available on a first come first served basis.
I paid £57 for a single room on the beach, incredible value in the current economic climate so I’m loathe to express any negativity. But the breakfast wasn’t the best i’m afraid although the coffee machine coffee was a nice surprise. I ate everything but it wasn’t the best quality. My room was one in the hotel yet to be revamped but it was adequate, especially for the incredible price, but the thin curtains allowed in light and woke me early. The shower drain needed a chemical treatment as water wouldn’t drain but the shower itself was very powerful.

Location and View was excellent as was the breakfast, room was a lovely size and bed was very comfy
Shower was exceptionally hot - temperature gauge did not respond to adjustment - managed to shower but washing hair was impossible, we did mention it at breakfast but was not responded to
Bed was not made on Sunday nor crockery washed, Heating went off at 6pm and was very cold in the room so we went to bed and used the hairdryer to keep us warm

Location was excellent and the view from the room was fantastic! Very welcoming owner who gave us tips on places to eat etc. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable
4.2
The location was lovely right in the main area our room was overlooking the harbour and bridge
was clean and well presented only small issue need a hook for coats etc. main gripe was size of bathroom, couldn’t swing a cat is the saying. ours you couldn’t turn around if a cat was in the bathroom.
We had to sit on the toilet to shut the door so you could get in the shower, but overall room amazing

This would have been a full 10, across the board, but it was a very cold weekend and the heating could have been better

nothing we loved it

Lovely room with a balcony overlooking the harbour. A lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. Comfortable bed and a cosy feel.
Bathroom had a broken tile on the floor that could have been repaired.
4.2
Lovely hotel, lovely room. The owner was really friendly and helpful. The room was warm and clean. The view was very good. We requested a sea view but the other way was the harbour so all good. The breakfast was great with lots of choice. The location was perfect for us, at the quieter end of the bay but with easy access to all the amenities.
The pillows were too hard. No other negatives and that is only a detail.
4.2
very comfortable bed quiet location mini fridge in room
strange smell like stale cigarettes cobwebs in bedroom window frame rotten. cold baked beans breakfast felt rushed parking situation misleading
4.2
I slept ok.
Room had an unpleasant smell on arrival and there was no parking permit available!
Bedroom window was cracked, bathroom was tiny - and shower (foot-bath included due to part-blocked drain) has the door so restricted by the toilet, that you have to squeeze sideways through to access it.
Room smelled a little better when I returned after dinner - but unpleasant smell still lingered in bathroom.
Bathroom extractor fan sounded as if bearings were terminal!
WiFi identified as 'unsecured' so I did not access, insufficient plug-sockets to allow phone and computer charge without unplugging something else.
Two bulbs (of 4) in the wall-lights were not working.
Supplied coffee tasted foul - it was possibly the UHT milk, poured it away!
4.2
Great location
Excellent breakfast
Good view of beach / sea
Good value
Some very good restaurants / pubs within walking distance
The room was rather cramped and did not match the photos on the website
This wouldn't have mattered so much if there had been a lounge area but there wasn't.
