Incredible setting and amazing views. If you like accommodations that are full of character, a little rustic and off the beaten path, and in a stunning landscape, this is the place for you. Great base for road trips across the island. Near a grocery store and petrol station. The large property is totally relaxing and a place you can really disconnect. The property has a very storied past. The loft on the hill was well equipped and the kitchen has everything we needed to make some great meals and eat outside on the back patio or inside. The fireplace was a nice touch, and we used it a couple of times on cooler evenings. Easy check in and out process. Ana was very attentive and always happy to help and provide recommendations. Ginjah the owner's puppy was super sweet and we enjoyed her many visits during our two week stay. The cats were also friendly neighbours. The pool area was very nice although the pool is unheated (we still swam a few times). The lobby is cool and filled with art and the espresso machine was great. We enjoyed walking from the hill down to the pool many times during our stay.
There were very few things that we didn't like, however others who don't enjoy simple, whimsy settings might find issues. As a fair warning, in the spring at least, there are lots of bugs that get in the loft on the hill at night (lawn shrimp, centipedes, flying ants etc.). We didn't mind as it is a part of staying in an old converted building in the country side and the cleaning staff came every morning to vaccum them up, but I could see how some guests might not enjoy the bugs. The loft on the hill can also be noisy sometimes with barking dogs, quarry blasting sirens, roosters, and the local village fireworks (although these were related to St. John the Baptist celebrations). Again, we didn't mind too much as it's part of the charm, but some might be annoyed by the lively sounds of Rabo do Peixe and surrounding areas. The loft can also be very damp depending on the rain, but again it is expected in such a building. If you want the standard hotel chain style (e.g. Comfort Inn) offerings you are better off staying in Ponta Delgada...

This was a great start of our vacation. Apart from the buildings being special because of their history, the location & view from the hill was spectacular. Owner Bernard was so friendly to tell us about the history of the building and land, which turned out to be in his family for the last 400 years. It's located in a beautiful rural garden. My partner loves classic & vintage design, and thorough the guesthouses were hints of that. So that was also a big bonus. Would definitely book here again if we ever visit São Miguel again.

Everything about our stay was perfect. Location ideal for exploring the whole island. Pool was fab and the room and the facilities were too.

The property itself and the views were spectacular.
the location was too remote, the room did not have very comfortable furniture, it would have been nice if the kitchen had some basics, like some tea, salt and pepper, sugar, creamer, etc things needed but are not going to buy for a couple of days. very strong chemical smell after cleaning. contacted many times by manager, it just seemed excessive.

The house is really spacious. Everything was as described.
Interior design is amazing. Very stylish, modern and cool experience in general. We stayed at the top house, so we could enjoy the road and nature: wild rabbits, dogs, flowers :)
Definitely fav place in Azores. Recommend.
Breakfast is a bit simple. Some bread, some cheese, no eggs. Could be better. At least - include some eggs. In this case kitchen in our house was helpful :)
Since Azores have a lot of rains, there were some insects after, so it would be a good idea to add carpets in the room. However, housekeeping was good.

What a charming place. An old tea factory converted into apartments. Wonderful views, place is full of great art, lovely owner and staff. There is a gorgeous lounge with great art books and jazz music playing. Our favourite place in the Azores! You have to book here.
Nothing at all, everything was perfect

The host was very helpful- responded immediately and our wishes were his commands. Breakfast is good.
Could be a little cleaner and it’s Time for some fresh paint and some nicer furnitures- than This Place would get a 10 from us:).
Location great- can easily visit the whole island.
