I like everything about this humble property
4.5 / 5.0
It was so charming and uniquely designed and decorated. The grounds were meticulously manicured, people sweeping the grass and tending to the plants. It felt like a secret oasis hideaway. So quiet and pretty!

The place is so beautifully decorated. Simple, but very tasteful. We had the big family room and it did not disappoint. We had so much space and loved the whole place. The view over the water was really beautiful from the main deck and the little swim spot, when the tide was just right, really wonderful. The food was simple but good and the grounds nice. We also liked the small village a short walk away. It was a really relaxing, beautiful space on the whole.
And despite my comments below on things which I think would be very easy to improve, once I moved past those, I really enjoyed the stay and would come back happily.
Even though the staff were nice and friendly, they were not very forthcoming or present. I felt like I had to find and chase them down for a lot of things, from finding out information on when breakfast times were, to finding a towel (we were only given one bath towel for a family of 3), etc. Having come from other stays in Bali, this was the first time I felt almost a bit of an annoyance to the staff rather than them being happy to host me as their guest.
Also I was told I had to bring cash for the stay even though they clearly had credit card facilities ( I purchased something from their lovely shop and paid by credit card for it).
Also the only place I've ever stayed in Bali (and I stayed in 8 different places on this trip alone, including much cheaper places) where bottled water wasn't put in rooms. In my view, that's a very cheap and easy to fix necessity.

loved the quietness and serenity of this place. chalets were well maintained. staff were very sweet and kind people. loved the ambience of this place. breakfast was amazing, the best ive had thus far . loved the acai fruit bowl and bread was well toasted.
sadly it did not have a beach. it only had stone walls. was quite dissapointed with the view. also was a lil deep into a banana plantation, be sure to have a bike or moped to ride around.

Very cozy and nice view from the terrace, just in front of the sea.
Decoration should be renewed. Staff disappeared after 8 pm. One of the days we were not able to find them for having breakfast and missed it (no other visitors in the hotel at that time)

I like cozy room. Wooden hous, old style of decorations: carpets on the floor, on the wall, lamps on the table. View of ocean.
Unfortunately this was not enough to enjoy your stay in Pondok Pisang.
When you pay big price for hotels what do you expect? Exactly - comfortable and nice service!
700.000idr for room with nice breakfast was promised to me.
Manager was nice, greeting us with welcome but unfortunately he can't manage a good service.
Room wasn't clean enough, it were some trash in the basket. But this was not big issues.
The horrible thing was that breakfast start LATE. Actually they have a rules it start from 8a.m. But stuff late. From 8:01 they just came to kitchen and start to open the restaurant.... That's awful! Because when you have a program in the morning this late Breakfast can destroy all your plans...
And more then morning always is main part to begin your day, especially breakfast. And how do stuff serve you it's big matter.
About "special breakfast" , which is same for all rooms: fruits, toast, oatmeal, coffee or tee.
Later I changed to Puri Oka wich is twice cheaper and Fabolous service and chilling vibes. Recommend to everyone!
I hope owner on this villa will work on it. All the best! 🙏

I have been to this hotel several times. The location is amazing, right on the water. The staff is also extremely friendly and helpful. The food is simple, but clean and good.
Many of the food items were out of stock, but we assume this was due to booking shortages during the pandemic. It also rained during our stay so worth nothing that the bathroom at the beach front bungalow is totally open - everything gets wet and many leaves fall in with rainfall.

I’m really happy to give Pondok Pisang an amazing review, however I don’t want to answer your questions about covid as I have my own opinions.......as for Pondok Pisang it is my intention to visit again in the very near future.

Best thing abt pondok pisang is the beach. The food served is healthy and yummy but quite expensive. Location is great
They dont provide water. Not even a water dispenser which is a necessity. A lot of ticks and bed bugs in the bedroom. I am allergic to tick bite so my whole body is swollen and itchy. No Ac (pls state this next time)
