Absolutely loved the onsen! It was my first time at a public bath and it was a great experience.
The bathroom was clean, however, there was a slightly unpleasant smell when we arrived.

The view from the lobby (and I'm assuming the mountain-side rooms) was spectacular! Mount Fuji was right behind the place, and we had views of the lake which was still gorgeous. If you make a 5-10 min drive around the lake, you'll get to see Fuji reflected in the water below. It's in a beautiful little location with lots of little eateries and shops along the shore. The place itself was very comfortable, the onsen was relaxing and their multi-course dinner was a wonderful experience! Highly recommend.

basic, old style and old! need renovation.
bathroom in the room missed the ceiling cover.
very old style and old in general. expensive for the offer

We stayed in a Japanese-style room and it was more than amazing experience. We arrived before check in and could store the luggage in the hotel until getting in. The room itself was very spacious and comfortable, we really enjoyed our stay. Especially that we even could use the hotel onsen (amazing as well) although we both have tattoos (nevertheless we tried to get in once it was empty). The stuff is super friendly and very helpful in all aspects. Highly recommending!

Traditional breakfast meal was excellent. Although Mt. Fuji was partly hidden, it was awasome!

The room with Mt Fuji view is amazing. Staff is very helpful to find a local yakiniku restaurant for us.

The location was excellent, really close to the lake and the mount Fuji. The public bath was also great, both the one for women and the one for men. The room was quite big and confortable. The staff was really nice!
The room, despite being very comfortable and clean, feels a bit old. Would definitely benefit some revamp, but it is ok. The heating was a bit loud (even at the minimum) and we were only able to manage its power, not the temperature itself so we felt a bit hot in the night. Last, the washlets did not work properly in our roo, while this is something you get used to when traveling in Japan.

The view
Too expensive and the breakfast was not satisfactory

The thermal baths were fantastic. Breakfast and dinner were traditional Japanese cuisine, which I appreciated experiencing as an American. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The location was excellent - the bus stop is right in front of the hotel. We got a clear view of Mt. Fuji on the second morning from our balcony!

The hotel was situated right on Lake Yamanaka. We had a room with a view to the lake which was absolutely beautiful in the morning. There is free parking for hotel guests. Across from the hotel, you can rent bikes to cycle around the lake (14 km) and gives various views of Mt. Fuji. I also walked around the lake the following morning. Soaking in the communal bath at the end of an active day is good.
The checkout is 10am, which is a bit early for us.

Amazing view of Mount Fuji from their mountain-view room which was clean, spacious, and comfortable! Breakfast was excellent both days we had it. The place is located right near a bus stop, so it was very convenient to travel to other popular areas like Oshino Hakkai and the Fujiyoshida Sengen Shrine. Staff were also welcoming and helpful!
Since COVID-19 is still rampant, I felt disinfection measures could be improved such as providing alcohol in the changing room at the hot spring bath.

Good view of the Yamanakako lake at a quiet spot, relaxing public bath with outdoor bath.
Quite disappointed to find out the sauna is closed due to Covid, and I am not so convinced with that reason while other places still allow sauna.

Small hotel, great location! Right at Lake Yamanakako and Mt. Fuji can be seen in the back of the hotel! Rooms are spacious, especially for a hotel in Japan!

This was the perfect location to be situated for sightseeing at Yamanakako. Our room faced east with an uninterrupted and fantastic view of the lake. The morning breakfast (Japanese) was beyond our expectations, and served up in a lovely morning room. The onsen - currently OPEN to all hotel guests in spite of corona (Oct 2020) - was also beyond our expectations and included an outdoor onsen. The room was very sizable - it was fairly basic, but had all we needed, including a fridge, a kettle and green tea bags (no coffee in the room, but there was a coffee vending machine on the ground floor). The room overlooked the main road (adjacent to the lake), but with the windows shut we were not disturbed by traffic noise at all and the main road did not infringe upon the spectacular lake view. I would definitely stay here again.
We were extremely satisfied, although we did think the elevator was rather shabby and dusty, and not at all in keeping with the rest of the place (actually, there were some other areas that needed a good dust, but it really didn't trouble us at all)
