If you are looking to re-charge the batteries, find some quiet time with your loved ones, explore the region, or just relax and take pleasure in the beautiful surroundings then Leda Lodge is for you. The home has a large living area, spacious kitchen, theatre room, large outdoor entertaining area, study nook and 2 bathrooms with heated towel rails and a deep bath in the 2nd bathroom. The wood heater provides a cosy ambiance during the winter months, in addition to the reverse-cycle air conditioning ensuring your comfort at all times. In the library nook, there are books to read and various board/card games as well as chess. There are also kids toys, childrens story books and games. The dining area opens onto a spacious timber outdoor entertaining deck that brings you even closer to nature. You can soak up the relaxing atmosphere and be as lazy as you want. The picturesque views overlooking the valley will take your breath away and give you every reason to want to stay in and enjoy the local surrounds. The deck has a lovely big daybed where you can kick back and relax with a good book or take an afternoon snooze as well as the infamous BBQ to enjoy. There is also a bocce court for those who like a little competition. At night, why not sit around the fire pit with family and friends toasting marshmallows admiring the beautiful night sky. The home has been furnished with the utmost care to make your visit here a home from home with high quality furnishings, linen & kitchenware. All amenities are provided: linen, towels, microwave, stove, large fridge, cooking equipment, gas barbecue, TV in living & theatre room; DVDs; games, stereo (with bluetooth), hair dryer, heated towel rails in both bathrooms and ample storage. We also installed gates on the back deck so you can lock in both the little and furry ones. Being built on clay, the home has developed a few squeaks in the floors but nothing major to detract from the overall ambience. For the coffee enthusiast there is a Nespresso Coffee Machine. We have internet wifi, however, it's not the fastest. Also, the location of the house excludes most second tier mobile phone carriers from working well. The home has a telephone for those that need to be contactable and local and national calls are free. The rates are based on twin share. The bedding configuration: - Master Bedroom - Queen bed - Bedroom 2 - 2 x King Singles - Bedroom 3 - Queen bed - Bedroom 4 - Double Bed There is parking for 2 vehicles under the house as well as parking for another 2-3 vehicles off the end of the street. We also have a wheelchair ramp to assist those in need. Guests need to notify us prior to checking so we can ensure the wheelchair ramp is installed in time for their stay. With no street lighting in the area, the stars in the night sky are incredibly bright and at certain times of the year you will easily be able to identify the Southern Cross and the Saucepan constellations and spot the odd satellite passing by from the front verandah. Note: This property does have slopes and gravel pathways so may not be suitable for people who need walking assistance. LOCATION The home is situated only 5 minutes drive from town, located in a quiet cul-de-sac. Situated in the heart of the Blackwood River Valley, there are some great scenic drives throughout the countryside ranging from 3km to 120km. For the nature lovers there are excellent walking trails through the Bridgetown and surrounding areas. IMPORTANT INFORMATION If you have young children they will need to be supervised around the wood heater when it is in use. We want you to have a truly special holiday experience at Leda Lodge, however, this much-loved property is NOT a party house and not suitable for weddings/functions. PET POLICY As dog owners we know how difficult it is to find accommodation that will allow pets which is why we are happy for you to bring your dog. You will need to bring its drinking/food bowls, leash and bedding. The property has farm fencing with plenty of room for dogs to run around. Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets both within and outside the property. Pets are not allowed on the furniture or beds. SECURITY There are two security cameras - one on the rear verandah facing the front gate and one on the front verandah facing the front door. They are not activated when guests are staying at the house.

Well what can I say! Wow this has got to be the best house we have stayed in as a holiday home. From the views to the position, from the furnishings to the amenities it was all first class. It was so quiet and relaxing that we certainly did not want to come home. Would love to return at a different time of year to see what it was like when it wasn’t so hot.

Once again a great stay, Sitting overlooking the valley is a great way to relax. Being so dog friendly is an advantage over most accommodation. Will be back.

Leda Lodge has stunning views, the rolling hills are beautiful any time of the day, early morning mist, sunshine creeping over the hills early in the day or later as the sun retreats over the hills or misty rain, just gorgeous! the gardens are superb! I loved sitting on the front verandah in the sun, drinking my tea and listening to the magpies and sitting on the stunning back deck with a drink in the afternoon or early evening. Sitting and toasting marshmallows around the firepit is perfect, so relaxing looking into the flames of the fire! The house is very spacious and has absolutely everything you could possible need including a wood fire which is a must for us. I am a clean freak, so I loved how clean the property was, the only negative for me was on arrival. I am very allergic to some smells and suffer from asthma and the house had those perfume sticks and also a mist release perfume spray, unfortunately I suffered an asthma attack before we could identify and remove these items and air out the house. That said, I called Danielle who looks after the property as we were leaving to advise her of my experience and she could not have been more accommodating, she said that if plan to return she could make sure anything strong smelling could be substituted or removed. We would love to come back with family for a lovely relaxing family stay. Beth & Tony

Leda Lodge is set on a beautiful property, the house is lovely and has loads of room, and is in a quiet location. Sit by the firepit toasting marshmallows, enjoy the amazing views from the swing seat, watch the birds and rabbits from the back deck, or lounge about on the comfy couch. It's our 2nd stay, this house has everything you need. It was a nice surprise to see the extra work done around the gardens and back terrace's to make it even better. Definitely recommend!
