Brilliant location on the beach, discreet and exceptional service. Great dining experience, food was superb.

- Nice birthday present prepared for us by the staff as a surprise
- The lush gardens are spectacular
- Staff is overall friendly and helpful, walking the extra mile when asked for help (this is truly distinctive)
- The taps in our bathroom would come off as you used them...
- No constant service by the pool (had to chase the staff)
- There was no shower gel in the room - just bars of soap, which seemed strange for such a highly rated hotel
- There is a mosquito problem (as it's wet season) and the guidebook in the room stated there should be insect repellent in the room, but there wasn't any. When we asked for it, we received it.
- Mini-bar was empty and there was no tea/coffee in the room. We understand Covid measures, but we stayed in another hotel on the island too, and all facilities were offered there.
- Breakfast was overpriced, overall OK and the existing options were tasty, but we would have expected more options - there were no fresh vegetables, for example, or cheeses.

One thing that was somewhat disappointing was the breakfast.
Whilst it was fine the selection was not unto the standard of other recent hotels.
For example no fresh pastries, cold meats or cheese or other luxuries one can expect

Not enough signage. Car park was a little dark

Breakfast was OK but a bit limited by the end of 2 weeks. A fresh fruit bowl, some salad options and more variety has been had elsewhere. Evening meals are fine: Hotel cooking. Not hugely bajan. Bbds prices abound. Last day had a (good) burger and beer for lunch -£30. Rooms are good, not huge and those at rear of property do suffer with some road noise in mornings. Lovely gardens.
Management responses to requests were slow and inefficient. Get the sense that this is a faithful, older, and happy clientelle, so staff are a bit tired and lacking enthusiasm in some quarters. Nigel knows everything, but nobody else does, it seems. It took talking to 4 different staff 2 of whom were designated ‘duty managers’ to sort a room problem, over 4 days. That really won’t do at this level. Main concern is the beach. There is heavy boat traffic across the designated swimming zone. I was nearly killed in a close collision with a speedboat rushing out and not looking at the end of one day. Response was lacklustre. I never received a proper apology despite repeated strong representations and was not convinced they learnt anything from this incident. I strongly suggested a reconfiguring of lanes etc. But this hotel has no incentive to change things. This is an accident waiting to happen and in a family oriented hotel with young children very concerning. I would not stay here again.

good breakfast, lots of variety; king (?) bed had a "large lump" running down the middle - not comfortable sleeping close to each other. Excellent service and very friendly staff.
Clarification on whether our breakfast was included or not.

The location is fantastic - beach, reef, sea
The staff were helpful, friendly and made the holiday a delight
The Bajun buffet and barbecue evenings were a bit disappointing! A bit dull to avoid upsetting the English... They could have done with a bit more Caribbean zest!

Food and services were very good. The beach was lovely. The staff was very helpful.
The room we were given was definitely sub-par. It was noisy and the bathroom was ridiculously small.. Were were promised a bathroom with a full bath but were given a room with a very small bathroom and no bathtub. The view was pretty bad -- of a staff room with frequent meetings.

The location was great, and the food at breakfast was lovely. There were lots of covid restrictions in place, which did make everything a little slower, but was all done well in this regard. The food was really delicious, but very expensive.
The staff were mostly very rude, especially senior staff around the restaurant. We were told that our dress code was not right, as we were a group of young adults, yet all other older guests in the same clothes as us were never asked to change.
The facilities in the rooms were very poor, and the rooms were very noisy, you could hear the next conversation.

We had a fantastic time. The team made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived into Grantly Adams, we had VIP fast track service and an excellent guide to greet us. The beautiful room we stayed in over looked part of the well manicured garden and we could still see the sea from our balcony. The excellently trained staff, from the front of house team, right through to the gardeners were attentive to needs. Recommend things to do are; snorkelling, where there where abundant tropical fish a short swim from the hotel beach, and the garden tour at the hotel. Boat cruises including swimming with sea turtles can also be arranged via the front of house team. Thanks for our memories Mark and the Coral Reef Club team, we will be booking again! :)

The Staff, Location, Cleanliness and how well you’re made to feel at home
The gym equipment is outdated and the gym itself is pushed to the very end of the hotel / resort and is very much an afterthought which I think in today’s day and age and in the spirit of appealing to the next generation of holidaymakers it could really do with an upgrade and a little more thought to make it feel more part of the hotel.
I also think if it’s possible the hotel should consider getting their own pontoon out at sea as it feels a bit awkward swimming our to the hotels one next door although I’m sure it’s not a problem I feel like it would be a nice touch if the Coral Reef had its own.
Other than that it’s as exceptional.

Patrick and his staff did a tremendous job of making us feel welcomed and special. Throughout the service was exceptional and the facilities, location and entire experience was one of the best we ever had - and we travel a great deal! Bravo and thank you!
Overdrive on the fear of non-infectious CoNvid and emphasis on mask wearing - which has been proven to be utterly futile and in fact dangerous to personal health. So please, cut it out: if guests like us made it clear we are exempt from the fear-porn charade, please honour it.

Staff were excellent, all of them...
Our room was nice but having paid for an upgrade and letting the hotel know it was mine and my wives joint 50th birthday we were surprised to be position right near the entrance of the hotel, nearest to the road and tennis courts, furthest away from the beautiful Caribbean Sea. We had originally booked the Fairmont were we usually stay with all rooms having a stunning sea view which we missed. Also our room rate didn’t include breakfast which is fine as we didn’t have breakfast every day, however when we did the charge was excessive, over £60.00 for a breakfast where we had a coffee, cereal and some fruit, not the best value for money when you consider for the same room rate cost at the Fairmont you get breakfast included and fast track..In general the cost for food and drink at the Coral Reef is very high and this would put me off staying again when you can get better food at all the usual well known quality restaurants for similar or sometimes more reasonable costs...
