La habitación no estaba limpia y el desayuno era muy deficiente. La puerta estaba estropead y no había toallas ni alfombrilla de baño.

The rooms were clean. Air conditioning worked fine. Drinking water was available nearby.
It was hard to find the place during the night. It was not easy to find the house numbers and the hostel signs were not very visible. We were promised an early breakfast, but seemingly the morning staff was not aware of such a promise. It would be nice if the family room would have a double bed. So family could be together.

The location was excellent, two blocks from the sea and an excellent location for transportation
No issues. Enjoyed my stay very much.

Nice and quiet hotel near Zona Colonial of Santo Domingo. Breakfast was simple but fine. It's possible to find anything you need not so far of this location.

the staff is nice.
I did not like the way bookings advertised the price. I ended up paying double what bookings told me and it was not worth it

Nice and clean breakfast. Not abundant but enough
do not like the car entrance for small cars. Huge gap that usually ends in bumps

Wauw, this place was in every aspect better than I expected! the hosts were amazing! very welcoming and helping me out. The location, ocean view, the neatness, it all was beyond what I expected. I already saw some places in DR and this was by far the best I had. I enjoyed the comfort of the room with airco and a great king size bed and I noticed I came to rest at this place. Note: I am a single traveller visiting different places around the island.
Only thing that could be improved (if possible even) is the water pressure in the sink and shower. But I read it in reviews of other places as well so it might be a general problem in DR.

I've been staying at the Bella since I was a Peace Corps Volunteer there. The staff is always friendly and go above and beyond to make sure your stay is great. Rooms are comfortable and they have multiple types based off your need. Good breakfast and the rooftop is great to have a drink and enjoy the sunset. This is great for groups so solo travelers.

Great location - easy to walk to the zona colonial and close to my language school. Lovely, quiet safe neighborhood. Spacious clean room. Loved the ladies who worked there and a great cooked breakfast each morning. The communal areas with fantastic views and sunsets, along with a fridge, microwave and ironing board were great. Friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend.

The hotel itself is really nice - it felt like a hipster-wannabe place, with a lot of shared areas, couches and kitchen. This was interesting in the times of corona - the place was nearly deserted, and you could enjoy the sunset alone on the balcony. Breakfast was ok, but not exceptional. Rooms are big and clean.
It was sometimes hard to get inside - you only get the key from the room, but there is at least one locked door on entry to the building. You have to ring, and the hotel personnel sometimes doesn't hear you. This often means, that some local "lurkers" will stop buy, and try to help you get in - and request money afterwards. Warm water was nonexistant.

They helped me with my laundry , even though they didnt have that service. So, staff was helpful
My room was supposed to have a private bathroom but the one next to my room was kind of has an entrence that is open the corridor and open to others. And it was very dirty. They changed my room , so I was ok but I wouldnt call previous room with a private bathroom …

Very friendly family business. I arrived after 1am and someone was waiting for me. Hot water and ac worked! Breakfast was fruit, omelette, and coffee. Checkout went perfect.
They are a few blocks from the Express bus to Bavaro.

The friendliness of the staff, the care the owner took with us during a tropical storm and the authentic natural surroundings with enough conveniences to make a very comfortable stay. Each floors layout gives a wonderful space to spend time with family and friends without being in your rooms. Wonderful DR food. Really enjoyed our time at this local hotel/bed and breakfast location. Muchisimas Gracias a Martin y todo la trabajadores de Hostal Bella Epoca!!

Everything. The staff was amazing, always asking me if I needed anything. Helping me out if I needed directions or needed to find a place to go. The owner was very friendly and helpful and offered great advice for what to see.
Breakfast was great. The room was a great size and very clean. And also the view on the floor I was on was perfect and simple. You could see the water and even hear the water from the balcony.
The location worked well since I enjoyed walking.

Very clean
I made my reservation in booking.com as always this reservation was for my boyfriend and the hotels always charge with the card on file. When my boyfriend was doing the checkout they asked for the card my boyfriend called me and i said was going on. They said they need the card in present or cash. So keep in eye that if you make a reservation for someone else make sure they going to pay for the stay.
