The quaint cottage is as the name implies, darling, quaint and wonderfully comfortable. I’ve just spent 5 weeks here and it was too short.
The owner has outfitted the kitchen with every imaginable utensil, wine stoppers, garlic press, spices, laundry products.
The first floor bedroom is where I stayed, with a small adjoining bathroom, could have used a shelf for toiletries.
The second floor is more spacious but accessible by two short flights of stairs. I’ve enjoyed my stay here, and grew to love the quietness of the tiny street, and it became more attractive as the construction across the street came to a conclusion. Was not fond of their porta-potty -10 feet from my front door, but that was removed a week before I left.
The management company is outstanding and was quick to respond to calls when small issues arose. Kudos to our property specialist Ann-Marie who was a terrific problem solver.
Office staff was quick to relay messages.
I would encourage you to stay there, and I am anxious to rebook for next year.
I definitely would come back next year.

Comfortable cottage, great location
We just spent 5 lovely weeks in Santa Barbara and were very happy with our cottage. It was a short walk to downtown and a medium walk to the beach. Easy to get to a car rental location and a well-stocked kitchen. The garden and outdoor eating space was wonderful! It’s small - ideal for 2.

Love SB
Upon arrival we checked in and looked around the cute cottage. We didn’t know the front porch faced another house and just off an ally but didn’t mind. However, there was mold around the upstairs tub that wasn’t able to get remediated while we were there. There’s no ventilation in the upstairs bathroom. There was a heatwave and no portable AC was available for use. The Gardner only showed up once instead of weekly. We drove in from out of state and couldn’t do anything to cool off or buy a portable AC since everyone was sold out. The property manager called to show the property. We’ve stayed at many places and never have been asked to show a property we’re staying in. There are mice in the backyard around the BBQ in the ivy. We didn’t use the BBQ as a result. We were booked for five weeks and had to cut our stay short after no sleep and being exhausted from the heat after a few weeks. Jill and Meagan were very responsive and as helpful as possible given the situation. Beware if you have animals. The fees are higher than stated in the VRBO listing. Super cute cottage. Just needs some work and portable AC for use when it’s hot. Box fans don’t cut it but are provided. The kitchen is awesome and has everything you need to cook. Sad we had to leave SB early.

The Cottage was more a little house and was very well stocked - particularly the kitchen. It is nice to have all the implements available that you have at home. Super comfortable little place and great location near State Street. We loved the deck and breakfasted out there every morning - in February!

The house is cute, well located. It is much smaller then we expected. The master bedroom is large. The master bath tiny. The main bathroom very small as well. The 2nd bedroom was a adequate size. The “living space” was very small and even though the house sleeps 6.(using a comfortable but complicated sofa bed). The house does not seat 6. Over all it was a good location, Worked fine. However not a place you want to order in and enjoy if you have more than 4 people. The key punch pad on the door worked well for useability.

Everything was wonderful and we loved our stay. The highlights for us were the adorable backyard, super comfortable beds, and wonderful location. I would definitely stay here again.

Cottage was great! Tucked away so felt pretty private. Good size space and outdoor area for my family (2 adults, 2 year old and 3 month old) plus our german shepherd.
Location was perfect! Easy access to downtown and lots of places to eat. It was nice for my husband to walk down the street to grab us a quick bite to eat while I stayed in and watched the kids. Was also nice to stroll the kids downtown if we wanted to get out without going too far or having to drive. We also went to a near by dog beach only a 10 minute drive away!

Great stay in Santa Barbara
All communication and instructions were timely and easy to follow. The house was charming, and the backyard was a great place to hang out and eat meals. We were very appreciate of the very well stocked kitchen since we love to cook. The location was perfect, it allowed us to walk just about everywhere. The beach chairs and towels were an added plus. We would defiantly stay there again.

Perfect cottage in downtown SB!
This house is absolutely lovely, a true gem in the heart of SB! It was a perfect getaway for my family and I. The house was super cozy and comfortable and stocked with everything we needed. You can tell the owners put a lot of TLC into the house because the place was very clean and well-maintained. Proximity to downtown was also wonderful. We loved walking to the shops and restaurants every day. The management was also very accommodating and quick to respond. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others!

Wonderful Stay
We loved the central location of the cottage. It was easy to get to everything in town. The cottage was exceptionally clean, comfortable furniture and beds and had plenty of room for 4 people. It would have been just fine to have a 5th. Highly recommended!

Darling cottage
We had a very nice stay at this cottage. While the proximity to restaurants and shops was super convenient, we didn’t like the neighborhood, which was basically an alley. I would recommend this home to others.

I would stay here again!
This was such a perfect place for our time in Santa Barbara. The home was perfect for our family of 4. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, all brand new. Beds were comfortable and the porch and back yard were private and quiet. The owners were very accommodating. The only thing that was a little hard was the lighting in the master bathroom. It was hard to see when getting ready so we brought a lamp in and plugged it in. But I still would stay there again.

Perfect
We were in town for a wedding, and the location of this wonderful rental home couldn’t have been more convenient. We were able to walk to just about everything we needed. The home itself was absolutely adorable, and had everything we needed. We were so comfortable and so happy with our experience. I highly recommend staying here.

Super clean and well appointed home! Easy walk to town and perfect for vacationing couple!
Truly impressed with all the little things that make the Curly Cottagr splendid! Spotless kitchen and bathrooms, comfy living room furniture, and extra added touches like spices, full range of cooking and eating utensils, and a wonderful small and private backyard. Great Place!!

Great Santa Barbara cottage
This is traditional SB alley cottage that has been updated without losing its character. The living area can comfortably handle four adults and the kitchen has everything needed for "vacation" cooking. The outdoor area is especially nice - private and well tended - we loved watching the hummingbirds with our morning coffee and listening to the birds with our evening wine. The master suite is spacious and the downstairs bedroom comfortably sized (mattress rolls couples to the middle so snuggle up). The pictures are a fair representation of what you will find. The management team also responded quickly to a minor question/issue with the keyless door lock. Lovely place to have a relaxing stay in a lovely town.

Santa Barbara Charmer
This is a typical Santa Barbara alley bungalow that has been updated and decorated to a very nice level. The pictures were a fair representation of the property, kitchen needs fully met, and bed and bath linens were fine. We particularly enjoyed the private outdoor space for coffee, meals and wine. The management team were quick to respond with help with the keyless doorlock. The downstairs bedroom mattress is a bit soft but upstairs master bedroom is spacious. Travelers were 2 parental units and one adult daughter visiting adult son living in SB- happy to find a place for future visits.

Perfect fit, well stocked, and great location!
This cottage was a perfect fit for our group (4 adults and 2 kids)! We were so impressed with how well stocked the property was - plenty of towels, great kitchen, washer/dryer, etc. Everything was very comfortable! The location was perfect - central to State St. and great restaurants. It was an incredibly easy check-in/check-out. We couldn't have been happier - everything went smoothly!

Very comfortable home with all amenities included.
We had a wonderful stay in the home. It had plenty of room for us (3 adults) and we enjoyed the beautiful weather in the lovely private backyard setting. We could walk most places in town and got in a lot of steps! We will definitely consider renting the home again on our next trip to Santa Barbara. Thank you!

This quaint downtown cottage was so COMFORTABLE! We did not want to leave!
We were really tired when we arrived and didn't even unpack. We just opened the sleeper sofa downstairs and popped in a DVD. We (me, my husband and son) were all asleep within 30 minutes.
The owners have put in a lot of time to make sure you are very comfortable. You can tell they have very high end taste and the living room blankets were the softest we have slept with.We napped for awhile and then walked downtown with ease (my 4-year old had no problems walking everywhere- that is how close you are to parks, shops, restaurants, trolley, etc.).
Everything in the cottage is top of the line: Adirondacks on the porch, patio furniture outside, casing around the doors, light fixtures, molding, linens, towels, plantation shutters, kitchen utensils, etc.
I think two families would be SO happy here and we have already booked our next trip!
To sum it up: Luxury, comfort and location location location for sure!
We can't wait to come back and will bring more people next time. The home would comfortably sleep 6.
