It has been beautifully and lovingly restored and features all

There is an angled stairway to go up to the bedroom loft. A slow step by step access. The second level is a large open floor plan loft-style bedroom that has cathedral ceilings and a private deck that overlooks the lake. Sit down, relax, and enjoy the beautiful sunsets or enjoy the view with your morning coffee. Cottage also has a Hamilton Beech Flex brew maker ( K cups or ground coffee to brew ), blender, microwave, stainless steel utensils, dishes, glasses, pots & pans; etc.
All you need to bring are your own linens, pillows, towels, paper products, soaps and food. Water shoes are great, especially for children. We have life jackets for the row boat and canoe usage for our guests.

Enter water using a pool ladder at end of cottage dock or go for a ride in the row boat or canoe. Sit outside and enjoy a camp fire roasting marsh mellows or just enjoy the beautiful night sky.

Plenty to do or just relax. The wrap around
porch is perfect for sitting outside, even on a rainy day.

It was very relaxing. The place was very clean and accurate described. Ann Marie was very nice and very helpful. She willingly shared her knowledge and her grapes and plums as well. The only disappointment was not being able to catch a salmon. One day I will. The place itself is all I expected from a cabin on a lake. And for us the stair climb wasn’t that difficult. Loved the use of the rowboat and canoe.i definitely would stay again. We enjoyed.

Loved the access to the boat, beautiful view great location. Bed in loft very comfortable but my dog needed company in living room. Sofa bed not that great but ok. Bathroom bathing a little tight in shower stall, other than that, I had a great time.

So rare to find a lake house with a decent yard! Enjoyed the dock and boats and fishing was great for most ... The loft is a climb but the house lacks nothing. Great week vacation.

This was a good value for the price. I was looking to place to relax and unwind and that happened. The property is rustic. It is on a very fast moving road with trucks going by. Its not really safe to walk along the road. There is walking available a few minutes drive down the road in Cayuga at Harris Park. The host was helpful. The parking is very exact. Make sure you get specific instructions about where to park before you arrive. If you have trouble climbing a ladder, the top floor with a double bed will be very difficult to access.

We had a lovely time at the cabin. Swimming in the lake was really great, especially during the really hot summer days. The sunsets are really beautiful on the lake.

There are many positives to this property, and a couple of negatives, at least with our lifestyle.
Positives include the owner (who lives in the house next door). What a delightful person to chat with. We loved the porch, all the chairs available to sit and enjoy the view, the access to a canoe, and the cottage itself. Everything that the owner could control we thouroughly enjoyed. The negative for us (living in rural PA) what the distance from the cottage to the road. The road is the major north-south route on the eastern side of the lake, and even though it was quiet at the cottage 85% of the time, trucks did use the road, and we all know how load some trucks can be. The evenings were very quiet. Early morning you could hear the road becoming more active.
Overall a very positive experience. Our dog settled in very nicely and to sum - up the review, yes, we would stay there again.

Just What We Needed
We were looking for a simple home to enjoy the lake and outdoors and local Finger Lakes offerings. The home was clean and has everything you need including an outdoor grill and picnic table on the deck, a small dock and a row boat and canoe that we enjoyed, not to mention lake breezes and gorgeous sunsets. Our adult children had a blast with some of their friends on the water, having a bonfire and visiting local wineries. The home is near Aurora and Skaneatles for local shopping, antiquing and gorgeous views. We spent a lot of time at a park in Aurora which became my running route daily. It was a short drive away. Anne Marie is nearby to give tips and to ask questions like where is the closet Walmart. There is also a small grocery store, dollar store, gas station and laundry mat nearby in Union Springs. The house has interesting history if you appreciate things that are historic. It was fun to stay there with the knowledge of hundreds of years of history happening. We would definitely rent there again.

Lovely home with views on the lake
AnneMarie was the perfect host! She greeted us when we arrived and gave us an overview of the cottage and general info. We had our daughter and 18 month old granddaughter with us and AnneMarie even brought toys over for her❤️ AnneMarie even lent Eric a fishing pole! She shared the grapes and apples from her yard as well. She was a Wealth of information for places to eat or shop. So very kind ! The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. We did bring our own linens. Kids will love the loft! Fishing off the dock or on the boat was great. But oh those sunsets!!!

More minuses than pluses for seniors
Minuses - Limited parking, VERY steep stairs to upper floor and balcony, SMALL shower; due to bad weather and flooding prior to our arrival, dock was unavailable for most of our 12 day stay.
Pluses - Convenient location but lots of road noise from traffic.
Definitely would not recommend for seniors.

Great Cabin on the Finger Lakes
We had a wonderful time at Camp Onondaga! The cabin is clean and well maintained. The stairs to the loft take a little getting used to but eventually you get the hang of it. Swimming in the lake is absolutely wonderful. The lake is shallow where the cabin is located and it gets deeper very gradually. Plus the lake water is fairly warm, so it's easy to get in! I also appreciated that the row boat and canoe were in great shape, which so very rare these days. To top it all off, fishing on the lake is a lot of fun. There are plenty of fish to catch and even observe.

Stay at Camp Onondaga
At first it looked small and like it would not be able to accommodate our family. As it turned out, there was plenty of room and the property gave us all we needed.

Excellent host!
Hard for us as seniors to go upstairs so young 40 couple slept upstairs. We took the down stairs. Air conditioners worked well in 90 degree heat wave. lake view was great! Fishing was fun.

While my family and I had a great time, I was a little thrown off when we first arrived. As soon as we got there I was questioned on the amount of people and weather or not I paid the pet fee. We were also informed of a mishap with the oven and was told not to use it. As there were 5 adults and 3 children we had already planned out most of our meals and brought the food we would need to limit shopping trips. After getting settled it took my husband not even a half hour to clean out the oven so that it could be used. My family and I still had a nice time despite those issue.

Great stay on beautiful property
The sleeping loft concept was something new we wanted to try. It was very much enjoyed by those that slept upstairs. Having a large yard was a great benefit you don't often find on a lake cottage. Availability of boats kept us all very active. Easy access to water in a fairly quiet, natural place. Great time for all of us!

Picturesque
Our stay was wonderful. . We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Great views of the sunset and starry skies off the top balcony. It is in a great location - so close to the Montezuma Wildlife Refuge and right on the lake. The house is well stocked for all you need for a lakeside cabin stay.
Thanks Ann Marie.

A Relaxing Getaway
Ann Marie was very accommodating and friendly. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch every morning and watching the Ospreys and other wildlife. The sunsets were beautiful and there were fireworks on July fourth over the lake which was an extra treat. It was fun using the canoe and paddle boat. We enjoyed our stay.

Great location on the lake
We went for Father’s Day week fishing trip with my son and my friend and his brother in law and the accommodations were great. We had a big dock for our boats right off the main lake. House had a nice porch to hang out on after a long day of fishing, a grill for cooking and the fishing was amazing. I would highly recommend this cabin!

Relaxing stay
This is a nice cottage with easy access to the water. Loved that there was a boat, a canoe and a paddle boat available. Loved the view from the balcony and wished we had been coming to this place when our kids were little since we often fished nearby.

Overall Very Nice
Great location beautiful sunsets. Even saw the space station fly over twice. However for fishing this time of year very heavy vegetation along the shoreline.

A bit disappointed!
Old grill, rusty& dirty, boats full of water, deck ladder full of spider webs, could not swim, seaweed everywhere, beds uncomfortable, pullout hard to sleep on, no ac,etc What was advertised was not available. Owner was accommodating & friendly. We were disappointed not being able to swim & go boating.

Great little Get-Away
We really enjoyed our stay. It's easy to find. It's in a great location. It's within easy reach of several towns and attractions. The cabin is rustic but still well appointed. We love the wrap-around porch and the balcony off the upstairs bedroom. We were able to take in some beautiful sunsets from there. The owner is very nice and helpful whenever she is needed. Overall, we had a fantastic time and wouldn't hesitate to rent this property again

Fine Place to Use as a Home Base for Exploring Northern Cayuga Lake
We were looking for a cottage from which to check out the more eastern-ish Finger Lakes, and Camp Onondaga was close to perfect. Although the weather could have been a bit more cooperative, we were still able to cruise around the area during the day and still USUALLY catch the beautiful sunsets from the upstairs deck with a cocktail. The canoe was especially enjoyable, and a highlight of our trip was seeing a young osprey fledge almost over our heads as we drifted along one late afternoon in the paddleboat. And the photos of the place as it looked in the 1800s are SO cool! Just to be clear to those reading this, this IS a camp, originally built as a trapper's cabin - if you're looking for luxury, this may not be the place for you - but it is completely refurbished, is clean and comfortable, and is equipped with anything you might need to happily sail through a few days. The steep stairs are maneuverable with just a bit of practice, and the upstairs AC combined with two ceiling fans keep any high heat/humidity away. The attic fan - which comes on automatically - is rather loud, but it's a "white noise" that one gets used to easily. Thanks, Ann Marie, for all the recommendations and assistance, and we hope that you and Frank have a lovely autumn!
