Lake Lure continues to recover from Helene! We’re pleased to share that Moose Tracks is once again welcoming guests. Thanks to all ongoing relief efforts, roads, power, water, and WiFi, are restored. Although the Chimney Rock area, Lake Lure beaches and waterfront are currently closed, there is much that our beautiful foothills area has to offer. Come to Moose Tracks as a peaceful retreat and “home base” for visiting nearby towns and attractions. Area restaurants, including Lake Lure and Asheville are reopening. There's golf at Rumbling Bald, and area wineries, breweries, music, hiking trails, waterfalls, and more within an hour's drive of Lake Lure. Tryon Equestrian Center pavilion is hosting some of the Chimney Rock businesses that suffered from the storm. Saluda, Hendersonville, Forest City, Ashville, and larger cities like Greenville, SC and Charlotte, NC are great day-trip destinations. We had a group of 8 adults and 1 child at the rental property and had plenty of room for everyone to eat, sleep, enjoy time together and had plenty of room to enjoy time to ourselves, if desired. The game room was a lot of fun to enjoy time with family members. Plenty of deck space, patio space and the fire pit area was also enjoyed by all of the family members. All of the beds that were used were very comfortable also. Kitchen was very well stocked with pots and pans, dishes, bowls, glasses, coffee mugs etc. It was also a pleasant surprise to find a nice variety of different spices. Plenty of games to choose from to help keep everyone entertained. If you get bored staying at this vacation rental, then that’s on you!!

This property has everything! Game room, screened in porch, fire pit area, beautiful well stocked kitchen, beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms. The location was so serene and quiet. Plus, the communication with the property management was excellent. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Our family with 7 adults and 3 kids enjoyed our stay overall. There were lots of activities for our family at the house and in the community. The property management company was great. We had everything we needed and their communication was good. However, most of our family did not sleep well during the stay because we found the beds to be uncomfortable. Most were very, very firm. The house was clean overall but there was a little bit of dust in a couple of rooms that bothered some of our group’s sinuses.

Everything was great. The house was beautiful, clean, well-maintained and had a well-furnished kitchen as well as many games and books. The managers were very easy to work with and were very well organized. All needed information was clearly marked and supplied. Many activities including swimming, exercise room, pickle ball and tennis courts, corn hole, basketball hoops were included. Golf and mini golf, paddle boards, kayaks, etc. for a fee were also available -- all about a mile away down the mountain. The "trails" for walking were actually just walks on the roads. We only left the area one time to visit Chimney Rock.

Moose Tracks was perfect for us. Plenty big enough for 8 people, fun game room, nice fireplace and kitchen. The driveway is a little steep, but hey, you’re visiting the mountains! Loved our stay, and the wedding was perfect too. Definitely would stay here again.

We had a great vacation. The house was clean, well stocked and very spacious. We enjoyed the quit at the house and the amenities at Rumbling Bald. We had a bear and her Cubs visit 3 days in a row, all at very different times of day. They messed with the grill on the deck. She did warn us of recent bear activity in the area. We were thrilled to see them up close, behind closed doors. We enjoyed the game room everyday. The only downfalls we’re the very steep driveway (but you are on a mountain) and having to drive the trash to the dumpster which was closed the 1st time and the last time. We had to take the trash back to the house with us and return the next day. The last time we were leaving the resort and told to drop it off at a dumpster down the road which was out of the way. We were packed to go home so had limited space for garbage bags (there was a triathlon at the resort and we didn’t want to fight the closed roads more than once) I would suggest taking your trash to the dumpster during the week and not wait until the weekend.

The home was clean, well appointed, had plenty of cookware, dishes, etc. We were delighted with all the thoughtful extras, like cozy blankets for cool evenings, board games, pantry items, a book corner and even telescoping marshmallow sticks! The screened porch gave us bug-free game nights while enjoying the mountain atmosphere and we enjoyed the fire pit several nights too. Can’t wait for another vacation at Moose Tracks!

Family summer vacation
4 adults & 5 children (ages 12-21) stayed in this great home. The gaming area was a fantastic place for the kids and it was used extensively. We used the Weber grill twice and the kitchen had everything we needed for multiple meals. Lots of space for us all inside and out. Sofa & loveseat we’re both recliners, plus an additional recliner made for comfortable leisure time watching the TV (which is a little dated, but it was HD). The property managers were fantastic and very accessible. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

The kids had a great time in the game room and so did the adults. Plenty of space inside and out. The owners were only a phone call or text away to answer any questions. Great Family Vacation at Lake Lure Moose Tracks
The property is well taken care of and well managed. Very clean! It has everything you need to enjoy your stay for a large family. We had 7 adults and 3 toddlers, and we had plenty of room, even on the rainy days. The basement room with the pool table, basketball, foosball, and lots of toys for kids was exceptional. The outdoor spaces were wonderful, including a large upper with large picnic table and grill, and lower patio and firepit area. The screened in porch off the kitchen was great for morning coffee and evening card games. The house is located in Rumbling Bald which also has a lot of activities to offer, including a beach, boat rentals, mini-golf, tennis, golf and more. Highly recommend!

We loved the house. The kids loved the game room and the house was very spacious and clean. Sitting out by the fire pit was the best. And the resort itself still had a bunch of things to do even though the lake was lowered for maintenance we were told. Definitely recommend for other families and would definitely be back again.

We had 10 adults staying at this house. Plenty of room and the game room made for some great play offs.

Enjoyed my time at Moose TracksBeautiful cabin! The only issue I found with the cabin is lack of TV'S in the bedrooms. Everyone falls asleep with a TV on and that was a disappointment for me. Also, it was a little dusty. The ceiling fans were very noticeable. I have terrible allergies and when I woke up my first night I had a sore throat and sinus issues. These issues of course were not brought to owner's attention because they're miniscule but for me TVS are important as I have trouble sleeping and to pay a 250 cleaning fee maybe more attention needs to be made by cleaning service.
