Overall stay was ok. Found this place to be unkempt. The listing says “luxury” but that turned out to be an underwhelming expectation. View from master bedroom upstairs, electric fireplace and kitchen were the best parts of this rental property.

My family and I had a great time at the fountain house! The location was great as my teenage kids could easily walk to the pool on their own. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and the views from the deck. We were not able to find carts to bring the kayaks down to the lake but we were able to fit one in our SUV and drive it down. My wife had a great time kayaking around Deer Lake. Also have never seen so many deer so close! Overall great trip!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this lake house. The house is very nice and the view from the deck is gorgeous! The beds were comfy and they had lots of neat touches inside the house like a record player, a huge tv, and tons of games. It's located in a great community that has so many fun amenities (lake, indoor/outdoor pools, gym, small game room, tennis courts to name a few). It's also not too far of a drive from good restaurants (John's) and stores (Weis Supermarket, Dollar Tree, CVS). The owners were wonderful so easy to contact and quick to respond. Overall, we loved the place and would definitely stay there again!

Tranquility is the only way to describe this property. Peaceful and quiet. Every morning (and some nights) I would sit on the deck and watch the deer and listen to the fountain in the middle of the pond. Great things to do in the area for couples or families (Bushkill Falls). Shawn was a great host! My car died and was towed to a dealership 50 minutes away. Shawn offered to bring us to a car rental place at the airport! We gratefully said yes and had great conversation the whole ride. If you're a couple, definitely sleep in the loft (great views of the lake) or if you're a family, the kids can sleep there ( has an extra living room up there with a gaming system). Besides the car issues, it was the vacation we needed. We can't wait to go back, hopefully yearly.

Our family really enjoyed our stay. House was clean and the open floor plan made it roomy enough for all 7 of us. Beautiful view from the porch and great swimming pool right up the street. Community has great activities (we particularly enjoyed the ceramics) and everyone was very nice. Host responded promptly when we messaged. Overall a great place to vacation!

Everything was just as promised. We had 1 tiny issue with trash a previous renter had left, but the owner ensured that it was taken care of it right away, even though it was a holiday weekend. Communication was perfect, check-in/out was a breeze. Would love to stay again in the spring some year!

We had a great time at the Poconos Fountain House. The Jacuzzi and record player got tons of use. We did some snow tubing at Adventure Center at Sky top Lodge and that was a blast!

My husband, adult daughter, and I spent a lovely week in this home. Our adult son and his girlfriend joined us for part of the week as well and we were very comfortable. The AC did a fine job of keeping the whole house nice and cool. I particularly enjoyed the mornings on the deck and was visited by deer and two adorable ducks. We did little day trips to places like Paws 'N' Claws and Why Not Riding Stables. We even visited Camelback and Mount Airy Casino. We had a great meal at Gresham's Chophouse which is very close to the place we booked a scenic boat ride on the lake. We visited the lovely Three Hammers Winery as well. The fire pit was fun and we enjoyed the hot tub too. Any time I contacted Shawn, he was very quick to respond and is a wonderful host!. I would certainly recommend the Pocono Fountain House!

This home is located in the middle of a lovely planned community with all sorts of amenities available that our family enjoyed. The house is on the edge of a smaller pond which we hoped to access, but the recent rains made it too marshy to do much with. The kids did enjoy catching frogs and whatnot, though. The other pond is just a block over and was very nice, including docks to fish and launch boats, a swimming and small beach area, etc. There was also access to Lake Wallenpaupak itself, but that was a bit farther down the road (still walkable). Lake Wallenpaupak access feels like it could be upgraded, but it was still usesble tomfish, swim, and boat.
The house itself was quite enjoyable; the deck and hot tub are particularly nice. The kitchen was well stocked with tools and the gas grill was newer and worked great. We also enjoyed having access to different streaming services when we unwound at night. The beds were comfy, and the bathrooms were more than adequate for the size of the house.
Best part was the responsiveness of the owners to our needs and how helpful they were with questions and whatnot before the trip. Shawn really made the check in and check out process easy and when we were in the building he was responsive to questions and whatnot.
We may come back another year and I'll be looking to see if this property is available when we do.

My family and I had a great time staying at Shawn's beautiful lakefront home. We rolled in with two young kids, a baby, and a dog and we had everything we needed. Shawn even had a collapsible crib so we didn't have to haul a pack n play in our already packed car.
The view was great, neighbors were friendly, and the kids rarely left the hot tub. Small but important thing for me, the tvs we're all set up and ready to go with multiple streaming options. Necessary to temporarily occupy the baby so my wife and I could enjoy 10 uninterrupted minutes on the deck enjoying the beautiful lake views! We had a minor issue where a contractor working on the house before our stay didn't fully clean up but Shawn was incredible in his response. He made every effort to make things right and left my wife and I more than satisfied. Couldn't have been more friendly/responsive/communicative.
We would come back in a heartbeat and look forward to doing so! Just be warned that your kids may not enjoy the lake in favor of staying in the hot tub!

First and foremost, property owner was fantastic. We had asked if it would be ok to come a day earlier and we were able to.
There’s just a few things to note that I know will be helpful to other people searching for a property for vacation.
There is new construction right next door that’s is being built on the weekends. The homeowner building the house is super nice. We had a few great conversations with him, but the noise might be a distraction for others.
The community is very nice for walking, biking, lots of people driving around golf carts and plenty of places to fish. There’s a nice beachy area.
My oldest child enjoyed the gym in the mornings. He’s 16. But he did mention the basketball court had a ton of gnats flying around so they were unable to enjoy the court.
The indoor pool for the community was not operational. That was the main reason why we booked and weren’t aware that it wasn’t operational until we arrived. My 11 year old was bummed about that.
The record player didn’t have a needle and we did have to drive out and replace the propane tank for the grill.
Other than those issues, the place was great. The beds were comfy and the hot tub was fantastic, especially that the weather wasn’t super great. Very cold. Tons of board games and very well stocked kitchen. We were able to make a very nice Easter dinner sat night.

We rented the cabin for a few days over the holidays and had a terrific stay. Very nice cabin, exactly as described, nice location on lake. Communication with the owner was excellent. I highly recommend the cabin to all those considering it for their next getaway. We had a group of 7 and 2 dogs and had plenty space and a great time.

The property met all of our needs. We enjoyed the hot tub, had a nice view, and slept well. There were plenty of towels, tv’s, and there were not a lot of people around so we had an enormous amount of privacy. We will look to stay here again and recommend this spot for a nice get away.
