Location and facilities were great
5.0
Would certainly recommend to stay here. Rooms were clean and spacious bed was comfortable. Having the pub onsite was very convenient and the atmosphere staff and food were excellent. Close to town centre very happy with our stay.

It had a rustic and homely feel to it. The facilities were very clean and well maintained. We checked in after the normal checking in hours but we did not feel lost as they gave us very clear instructions and the staff at the bar were very helpful to us.

Overall it was a lovely place, beds weren't too bad. Clean and tidy place with all self contained facilities to help make it that little bit more homely. Was pleased we could check in 2 hours earlier than usual time as we arrived earlier than expected.
Poor internet reception, so TV channels such as Netflix kept struggling to stream movies in the bedroom, the TV out in the lounge area worked better but still had some struggle every now and again. Lounge suite isn't the most comfortable. To watch movies in bed we watched them on our phone device instead using our own internet. Not ideal but at least streaming was uninterrupted and we could at least be more comfortable in bed to watch them.

Great place to stay as always, the location is great, handy to have a kitchen, close to town, spa is a bonus.
We've stayed here pretty much every year for the last 10 years at least once a year. We've stayed in 6 of the rooms and they all seem to have the same super soft pillows. Normally I wouldn't complain but I forgot my own BYO pillow for the second time and had a tough time. I am fussy about pillows but my wife also finds the pillows here to be uncomfortable. They all seem to be the same super soft pillows. The accomodation would be greatly improved if a range of soft/medium/firm pillows were available. A lot of places are doing this these days. But anyway, just saying for improvment sakes, otherwise we love the place.

Both the couch and bed could use an upgrade.

Everything about the room.
The weather. Didn’t like that the pub was packed and fire wasn’t lit. Charged to get in to see the band playing.

Clean and cozy

Very clean room with comfortable beds, 5 minute walk to the town centre. Good strong wifi signal. Good food and drinks at The River pub.
Can’t think of anything.
4.5
Great location close to town and not far from beaches and wineries.
The room was great - having a separate lounge and bedroom was very nice.
The pillows were very large and a bit too plump - not very comfortable.
Swimming pool had limited facilities - not many lounges or seating and no shade / umbrellas.
4.5
The location, easy access to town. Dinner at the restaurant on Sunday night was fine, good service.

Location was very good. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Credits to Sonia, 5-Stars for her good service. Bed is big and comfy.
We booked the Spa room/suite. Had only one aircon in the lounge area but not in the room itself. Can be stuffy in the Summer and cold in the Winter when sleeping. Probably better off to take a Room instead of the Suite. The bathroom has a timer light cum heater which would switch itself off and is not practical. On one of the nights, there was an event at The River restaurant and the carpark was chockas with cars belonging to residents and non-residents. Had to drive around in circles after returning from dinner to find a parking space which was annoying. Non-residents should not be parking there. Music from the restaurant can be loud. Make sure to request for rooms far away from the restaurant/pub. The Spa in the room looks beat up and could be upgraded. Not enticing to soak in it. The desk was very good to have but could be better if there was an electrical outlet by the table to plug in my laptop and phone charger.

Good Location and Staff very pleasant.
Very out dated and old furniture, sofa very low and uncomfortable.
Didn't know that the shower was over large old spa bath which although said it was clean, there were long dark airs in bath. Not suitable for someone who is elderly to try to get into shower.
Room was very dim and gloomy feeling
No where to sit outside of room

Spacious queen room, good walk in shower, comfy large bed.
A little outdated furnishings but fine for short stay.

The spa room we had was far enough away from the bar and entertainment area that we we were not disturbed by late night noise
The chips I ordered from the bar were undercooked, and the hotel is a little bit of a walk out of town but not too bad, like 10 or 15min walk really which is doable if you want a drink in town and don't want to catch a cab.
4.5
It was a queen double located at the top of the stairs room 1.
We would have liked a toaster as you don't have breakfast

everything was great
The shower head was not very good

Great pub, and food in restaurant was excellent.
The pub happily allowed us to take a couple of their glass bottles of water back to our room to use in the kettle (for some reason it tasted better than what came out of our bathroom tap).
There were no chairs provided to sit outside the smaller rooms. I felt a bit like I was in a prison cell (maybe not a great analogy, I just felt closed in).

this will be our 3rd stay at the river, the rooms aren’t very fashionable but they are so clean, you can smell the freshness as soon as you open the door
didn’t have a problem with anything

Didn’t have breakfast
The showers need to be a bit cleaner. Mould in corners

Great value for money. Clean rooms and close to main street. Easy check in and out and a 30 second walk to a pub/restaurant.
Decor is a little tired, but it's value for money.
4.5
Nice clean and spacious accommodation. Great location and value for money.
3.0
Good location, good shower, comfortable bed.
Property ready for a refurbished.
Bedroom walls need soundproofing as could hear everything that went on in both rooms either side of us.
4.5
The property was clean, relaxing and well looked after. The attached restaurant was and added bonus and the short walk into town made it a great place to stay.
3.5
on site restaurant with a good selection of dishes. walking distance to town
pool and surrounding area needs some professional attention.
uneven road surfaces and poor lighting resulted in a resident breaking her leg while we were there. the whole resort needs maintenance, very dated but clean.
concrete pool had green algae growing in it. difficult to get in and out as no steps and hand rail. only 2 sun beds.
4.5
great resort , loved the huge unit.
great location and loved the pool
no room service due to staff shortages.
