Rosebank Cottage was a quaint place half way between Smithton and Stanley. it was well equipped and very quiet. The gardens were lovely and a nice place to stay.

Location was great and it was very comfortable. The homemade bread was really lovely.
Crockery needed a good clean.

Clean, comfortable, good facilities & warm. Beautiful gardens with lots of birds.
Decorating is outdated (last done in the late 80s)

Easy to find location, not far from the town centre. Modern décor. Excellent bathroom. Very comfortable bed. Plenty of space. Nice relaxing lounge area. Handy to have laundry facilities, as we were halfway through our holiday!
Some might find the parking a little tricky - need to maneouvre a little if there is another car there.

All self contained, quiet location

We loved how cosy and homely Rosebud Cottage felt, and that it was unlike any other accomodation available for similar price. Out of the town and away from bustle, we couldn't of asked for a better location to enjoy the peace and quiet.
We were lead to believe the fireplace was real, but it was in fact electric. We weren't cold thankfully, as rural folk we enjoy tending to a real fireplace as that was half the reason we chose the accomodation, but don't let that stop you from staying! We enjoyed our time beyond measure.

Loved the homemade bread that was left for us. The house was nicely set out and plenty of room for 3 kids. The house has all the essentials for a longer stay and it was nice and warm for our winter break.
Minor issues
Stairs are slippery and second from top lays forward.
Wood heater should be removed, not in use, son stubbed his toe on the hearth.cobwebs in laundry and above stairwell.
An extra seat or bean bag in the lounge would be nice.

Gorgeous little cottage, breakfast provided even freshly home cooked bread. Gorgeous location and lovely friendly host.
The decor needed some upgrading.

The townhouse has a wow moment when you enter it, all in black and white and chrome, with a touch of red and bling. Different vistas appeared through the many small square windows positioned around the house, a couple show the historic Butter Factory building facade, distant hills and houses on them, roofs of industrial estates and forests. Sitting down reveals views of the sky in all directions. There was a certain quirkiness and interest to it. For where it is the house was designed well to accommodate what is best and hide what is worst of the views. There is a large bathroom and well equipped kitchen. Bed is very comfortable and so are the lounge couches.
First we could not find a single spoon so we asked the owner, and found out that there is a hidden drawer inside the main drawer. The next challenge was to switch the top shower head to the wall one because the top covered the whole shower cubicle with not much dry area to soap yourself in. It took us a while to get it to work, it was fiddly. The house was clean overall but the dishes were only as clean as their previous occupiers, so we washed everything before using. There is also a steep outside staircase, the only way to get in. The carpark is difficult to maneuver in for one car, yet alone for the intended two. There are dents everywhere in walls, fences and on poles from people trying to get out.

It was really cosy and delightful.
Shower was a little difficult to get in and out of.

You won't be disappointed. Lovely cottages, exceptionally clean and peaceful.
Nothing at all
