It is really next to the shoreline. You just need to grab your snorkel stuff and as you wade into the ocean you can start having fun. Corals are everywhere. There are friendly guys nearby who can take you to any spot you wish to dive or to snorkel with boat for a reasonable price.
The spa service is good the price of it is acceptable. Massage happens in three open and you can hear the waves which helps to relax.
The staff is friendly and helpful.
The garden pool is ok if you did not plan to swim.
The food is relatively good but overpriced.
The cabins are small and far from new, so they would require some renovation especially the restroom - shower combo. Based on the photos provided on Booking.com I would have expected better cabins.
The snorkeling options offered by the hotel are overpriced.
It does not deserve four stars according to my opinion. It should be ***.

Thoroughly pleasant cabin accommodation along the coast. Can snorkel straight off beach. The beach in Amed is volcanic rock so don't be expecting pristine white sand. Pool was clean. Hotel restaurant food was surprisingly good and we ordered here more than once. Breakfast was delicious. Coffe and sun rise over the sea was beautiful.
This could be said of most places in Amed due to it facing East. It just is damp over this side of the island as only the morning sun dries things out. It wasn't bad as there was aircon in the cabins.
It is a fair way from the main strip of shops, but transport can be arranged easily.

Perfect place for relaxing and swimming, beach is located 10 m from hotel gate and (in January) you could swim on your own. Not much waves and you can see corals 5-10 m from the front, bring your own snorkling equipment! You can hear the sea to the rooms, like the lively countryside life around. The hotel personnel helped in every possible way to arrange for services (trips, taxi, etc). Santai hotel offers excellent lunch&dinner options. Visited also the nearby hotel Griya for dinner (fine dining) - warm recommendation!
If you are looking for plenty of shops, restaurants or beach with services (other than diving), Amed is not the place for you. The place is very quiet, so no pedestrian with lights for an evening walk.

The place is very nice, cozy with beautiful nature and ocean views. The staff were most welcoming and friendly. The bungalow was very comfortable, everything was well thought through. There were available glass bottles and cooler to reduce plastic usage.
A lot of thoughtful and caring touches, like tea in the morning.
And the breakfast there is delicious ☺️
Thank you a lot! I really enjoyed my stay here💚

Nothing, it was worst hotel in whole Bali (we stayed in 8 hotels).
Rooms are very dark, location very bad, shower working bad, stuff arogant. Property needs repairing, please see the photos.

Great hotel well located in Amed! Super cute bungalows with outside shower. Beautiful pool right on the sea and direct access to the beach. Everything was very accessible around the hotel with our scooter.

We booked the hotel because we were taking the ferry the next day. Price performance is overall okay, but I would not book a whole vacation at the hotel.
The room was okay, not overly large and in some places could definitely be cleaned up a bit. Breakfast was good quality, but it took us a little longer to get it, although we were one of the first at breakfast. The beds were okay, but the night was very noisy (there were numerous dogs howling), so sleeping was only possible to a certain extent.

Overall pleasant hotel. Good breakfast.
In need of some renovations at reception and restaurant
Pebble beach
Difficult or hazardous to enjoy the sea due to numerous rocks

Location and staff were excellent.
Views from the room (Villa No 1) were fantastic.
Drinks and food were very good.
Room size was a bit small.
The room floor was really creaky - made loud noise even if one person walked, and the entire wardrobe shook.

We liked the food, privacy, cleanliness and the outdoor furniture that goes with each hut.

1. Staff was very friendly
2. We went diving so we had to check out late, and they allowed it without second-guessing. But we ended up leaving on time though!
3. Room was sort of clean, and acceptable.
4. They also let us move to a better room, as we didn't like the first one we stayed in.
1. Bugs! But not their fault, I guess Amed is full of them hahah.
2. This is my second stay and paid the same for the previous stay, but we were placed in a different room this time. Liked the room in the first stay, though they did let us move!

Dedicated and friendly staff, committed to maintain the property well through this difficult time.

A few wooden villa's, with a view on bougainvillea, palm trees and the ocean..that is the setting of this hotel :)

Right on the beach. Very cool, simple and comfortable bungalows, hearty breakfast included. Friendly staff who try hard to ensure you have an enjoyable stay.
Sadly for the property, Covid has impacted them but the staff remain helpful. Perhaps not quite as polished an experience as it would have been before the pandemic.

The place was amazing, thank you for the upgrade from Suite to Bungalow, the staff was super nice, breakfast was good. We were enjoying to stayed there. :))
The water was so small (sink & shower), also the rocks in the bathroom was not really clean, bcs I found a dirty tissue was there. Overall same as in our expectation, but the rates for the room was a bit high with the facilities that we got. We expect a bit more facilities with that rates or a bit cheaper price for that facilities
For the input maybe better provide breakfast in the room, bcs the room is super nice to have a private breakfast there, especially for couple. And some packages or information to do activities in Amed to help guest who come there for the first time and maybe needs help to go around (like us ;))

We arrived at 21.30. Security guy meet us. Even it’s a 4!!! Stars hotel he doesn’t offer any help with bags (we were with small baby). He opened room and start walking in our room in his dirty shoes.
Houses are made from very thin wood. No soundproof at all. You can hear even a fly near house. No windows. Very dirty and old. Bathroom is semi opened, that’s why there are a lot of dirt, dust and insects. Bathroom with a hole in the wall. WC is leaking with enormous noise all night long.
No water. Just with in the fridge. On the morning I asked about water. The told me that you should take bottles in your room and go to reception to fill it. But when I’ve try to do it, there was not any drop of water. Manager offer to fill my bottle from his bottles...
No words. Never ever stay there. It’s a hole.
