Cheap but still not worth it

I seen the hotel on 4 in the bed and although not the best looked like the new owners were trying to improve the place so thought would give it a go

No staff available ( only by tele ). Room not the cleanest but was just about acceptable. Very noisy thin walls , tv remote not working. Blinds not working . Shower temp not working properly could only have either freezing or boiling shower no adjustment. Radiator would not turn off. No parking. No food available so not a B& B

Annoying, I went away with my girlfriend and the room was filthy

The room was filthy, I have pictures. Coffee all over the wardrobe and dresser, stains all over the bedside table and the bathroom was messy.

Disgusting room

Good location, hotel has potential, restaurant/pub on site

The room was filthy, the walls and floor in the bathroom were disgusting. The bathroom cabinet was vile. There was cigarette Ash in one drawer, loose tobacco in another, dirty boxer and what looked like an empty drug bag on top of the wardrobe. Staff were nowhere to be seen.

3 words - poor, poor, poor!

Close to Town and Chinese takeaway

Internet was extremely poor, the shower was a dribble, TV had a remote that didn’t work. Every thing in the place was done on the cheap. Even a broken chair propping the door open on top floor. It wasn’t cheap either. I hate to criticize but give this a wide berth…

Great central location. Checking in via telephone was no bother. Quiet room.

Room would have benefitted from a thorough clean. Broken or non existent amenities. Most problematic one was that a broken handle meant the bathroom door wouldn't shut, which was pretty embarrassing!

Filthy, decrepit, ramshackle “Bates Motel”-esque - it’s a no from me

Upon arrival there wasn’t anybody there to greet us, then someone appeared from the back out of nowhere and told us to ring the number to check in, which we did, and they disappeared again. Out the front of the property there was an empty vodka bottle and trash all over the floor by the entrance. The property itself was dated and gave creepy horror movie vibes. The doors creaked, the stairs creaked, the mirror on the stairs was cracked and there was a thick layer of dust on pictures and ornaments. The room was filthy from top to bottom. I found food on the floor, there was dirt and grime on the carpets, the bathroom was covered in mould and the plugs were dirty. The place looked like it had never been cleaned. I didn’t want to get in the bed so I slept on top with the blanket as I’d left it too late to book anywhere else. I was surprised that the towels had been washed, but they had. We were intermittently awoken by the sound of doors slamming throughout the night and the fire alarm went off really early the following the morning as someone had burnt something in the kitchen which startled us. I wouldn’t have a dog stay at the hotel and I certainly would never be back.

Budget Solo

The location is perfect with shops, busses and train station close by. Check in was super fast. I arrived very late but there was a number on the door which I called and he gave me access code after confirming my details. It was cheap for the location and best value for money.

The room is very small though it equals the value for money i paid. There was no light in the toilet. The carpet seem old.

The room next to us had his TV on all night and I mean all through the night!! It was very awkward as we didn't know who was staying in the room and do not like confrontation we felt it was far to late to ring the out of hours number so as it was for only one night and we really didn't pay much we accepted you get what you pay for. Also No Parking facilities.

Travelled up from Newport to watch Hartlepool play. Was about a 10 min walk to the ground with a few pubs on route. A last minute winner has made my stay in Hartlepool even better, would stay here again.

We parked in a car park across the street, not ideal but not the end of the world.

You get what you pay for..

The bed was incredibly comfy and the room was generally clean

Overall, for a night out or so this is ideal. If I was staying here for work or something, I'd be gutted. The place could look 10x better with just a deep clean and a repaint. Little things that add up give a bad impression , Light shades all broken, some kind of splatter marks on the wardrobe, cracked outlet covers etc ,It's nothing new if you look through the existing reviews

Bathroom door handle stiff got stuck inside bathroom struggled open door. Tatty room no bed side table/lamp. Socket next to bed unplugged not working. No remote for TV. Booked in for 2 nights left after 1 booked someplace else
