Fish at Freycinet is a lovely cosy cottage, perfect for 6 guests. We were surprised by the space and appreciated how warm it was. A quick walk to the beach and the coffee shop - the location is very convenient.

Clean and quiet. Only problem was after I had asked for a third bed to be made up, when we arrived this had not happened. Other than that it was all good.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at this property. In the lead up to the stay we had to contact the agency and they were friendly and responsive. The property was clean and tidy with more then ample kitchen items to comfortably be self sufficient. This is extra important in the winter months in Coles Bay. The additional sitting area was warm and handy for a family to spread out and find their own space. A great stay

This property is in great location; only a short drive from boat ramp, IGA, ice creamery / fish and chips and the cafe - and interior has a nice feel, also very clean and well presented inside - has all you need, TV w/ Netflix for movies for the little ones. Note our two girls wanted to sleep in the same room with the two single beds, however, only one bed had linen. If you were to book in the summer months, note this property does not have A/C. Broken seashells on entrance are very sharp to walk on with no shoes, specially for kids (who often in that environment, are shoe less). Hairdresser doesn’t work. Garden / outdoor areas need maintenance. Property has no views to the Hazards (which is known / shown in photos).

Wonderful stay!
We were so happy with the beautiful, character and light filled cottage in such a beautiful location. Absolutely perfect other than the oven wasn’t working and we left a voice message asking if there was a trick to it or to try and get it fixed and didn’t receive a call back. Other than that we had a great stay and found the amenities fab and everything clean and comfortable :-)

Fireplace not available all year, only in “cold months” microwave had a “ sorry not working” sign, booked and paid for 3 bedroom but only linen on one room because I didn’t reply to an email (which I didn’t receive) requesting additional linen. Got the linen the next day. Staff were helpful and friendly

Good!
We had an enjoyable stay at Fish Freycinet. We've stayed here a few times now and have always found it to be clean, well equipped and comfortable.
However, I do recommend that cleaning staff check that dishes are clean as some plates had been put away unwashed.
It's a great house to stay in with a child as there is a nice sunroom/play area adjacent to the bedroom, and the house is a short walk to Richardson's beach.

Good and functional, but...
Overall, this place was great for it's location and for the two of us it was functionally appointed and there was plenty of space. The local café and coffee shop is excellent.
Two issues affected our enjoyment unfortunately.
One was that there are no mirrors anywhere in this property - and you don't know how much you use a mirror until you don't have one. A bit too much like camping... It would have been nice to have at least one face mirror for hair, make-up, contact lenses etc...
The other problem was that the hot water was not hot. It was warm at best - meaning that we needed to boil the kettle for washing up and if you like a long hot shower in the morning, you're getting a short warm one instead...
We called the agent on both issues and, while they were quick and personable on the phone, nobody was really falling over themselves to provide a solution. We got the sense that it was all too hard and the remote location was the reason nothing more could be done. We didn't push it and it wasn't pushed so we lived with both issues. But I believe more could have been done proactively to ensure our enjoyment of the place.

Advertised as fully fenced for pets..no it’s not
We booked this place as it was pet friendly. I sent an email to confirm fencing which they informed me it was totally fenced. Ahh..no it’s not!. There is no fencing around the property and as a result I had to keep my pooch on the lead the whole time. So disappointed as we booked this place for our 2yr old pug to run around. I emailed the property and they did apologise..but.nothing more!. The home is fine but my husband did have to cart wood into the home from the wood pile in the rain as there was none in the wood bucket at the back door. We also had to buy fire lighters..overall, ok but would most likely not return.

A great place to stay
A lovely, well equipped house with lots of space. Great garden and deck.
Unfortunately, the garden is not fenced which was a bit of a worry as the house is on the main road into the National Park. Fantastic that we could take our dog but the website said the house was fenced at the time of booking. Dog owners need to be aware of this.
Otherwise, a great place to stay.

Great family stay
We loved our stay in Coles bay! Fish at Freycinet was an excellent base for our family of 4 plus my parents. Heaps of room inside and out, however, due to only one bathroom with the toilet contained their was a wait at times.

Loved our family stay
We enjoyed our family stay at 'Fish at Freycinet'. The house was clean and tastefully appointed with modern furnishings and lovely, comfortable beds. The fire was well used during our stay! There are two living spaces which would be ideal for larger groups or families with older children. The location was great, just near the entrance to the National Park and not far from the rest of Coles Bay's amenities. Some wallabies visited the yard to the delight of our toddler.
