Breakfast OK great location
4.0
Location was perfect for where we wanted to go afterwards.
Shared toilet, towels had seen better days. Communal hand towel in shared toilet. Rugs and carpets need cleaning. Breakfast was continental, no cooked option, despite the table laid with knives & folks!

Very pleasant and helpful host who gave good advice about visiting the city and helped us when we were lost.
The rug by the beds was a trip hazard.

The location was excellent. Short walk from train station then short walk into town. We were cruising the following day, and advised a taxi would be the best option. However, we decided to take a walk to the terminal via the centre and it was all totally accessible and enjoyable, took about 40 mins.
The breakfast was lovely and so well presented.
Sad we only had one night there, but if we return to Southampton, we will definitely stay again

Room was extremely stuffy and windows were locked. The bedding was not comfortable. Shared bathroom which I did not realize until we arrived!

The hostess went above and beyond for us.

Very nice breakfast location was great close to all that was needed

The location was convenient. Bed was reasonably comfortable.
Breakfast was very basic. Passable. The room, advertised as a 'family room', was extremely small. The wardrobe was short; could not properly hang a dress. Insufficient space by the side of the single bed to prepare a cup of tea.

The owner was very nice and helpful and the breakfast, even though "light", was delightful in a sunny cheerful room. She was very helpful in arranging a taxi for us and giving us pointers where to eat. There were sanitizing wipes for the toilet seat in the hall bathroom - very welcome after some other users weren't too considerate. The decorations were nicely done in the room. Without a bathroom en suite, I appreciated the sink in the room. The room was tidy (photos taken after we had settled in a bit.)
Probably my fault for not reading the fine print, but the bathroom was next door. Glad I didn't have to take my bags up the stairs, though. It was blazing hot and the only window opened to an alley that allowed excellent reception of everything taking place in the toilet. The only seating was a bar stool with small back and a plastic chair. It was hard to read with all the lights on. We could hear every conversation in the halls, even though the owner tried to keep the noise down as much as she could. If I had paid half as much, I probably wouldn't be so disappointed.

It was easy to get there from the Station, central and good that we could get into our room soon after the train arrived midday.

Only the breakfast could be richer.

Location is perfect for the Mayflower Theatre and access to the city centre.
Free continental buffet breakfast included in the price.
Kind and helpful host.
Free on-site parking and free WiFi.
Didn't provide shampoo, conditioner or body washes, would have been good if we could have been told to bring our own before coming.
Double bed was too close to the wall and the extra bed made the room feel cramped.
Was a bit chilly at times but there was plenty of bedding to keep warm when asleep or relaxing.

LOCATION FOR MAYFLOWER THEATRE WAS PERFECT
IT SMELLED OF DOG AND ROOM WAS CRAMPED
SHOWER ROOM HAD NO HEATING

The location was perfect
It was so cold even though the room was tiny.
there was not nearly enough bedding. Nothing spare in the room.
The loo/shower was across various steps to the opposite landing. if all rooms had been occupied, it would have been impossible to use in reasonable time. One small towel for a shower was available for each of us.
Breakfast was minimal but at least brown bread toast could have been made available!!

Location was ideal for city centre and St Mary stadium an easy walk.
Lo very welcoming host
No complaints at all

location for theatre and town were good
The property smelt of dogs the moment we stepped through the door, carpets leading up to our room were dirty and the smell of dog was overpowering. we quickly realised due to one guest having a dog allergy that we would be unable to stay in accommodation. Within 20 minutes of being in room, one guest had breathing problems and hives, we left immediately.
