It felt like this motel too was excavated
together with the ancient town of Pompeii. The place desperately needs to be refurbished and all furniture needs to be replaced.
+ The hotel lies right in between two Pompei entrances.
+ Spacy room.
+ Cappuccino during breakfast;
- Terrible shower facilities. Felt like showering in the bidet (see picture) and because of the failing shower secration the whole bathroom became wet after usage of the shower; our other option was to shower in a filthy bath tub where the shower head was placed knee-height (the manager told us this is how Italians shower).
- Noisy rooms; it also feels like a small earthquake every time a train passes.
- The beds, sheets and pillows were not comfortable. The matresses were too hard.
- No coffee/ tea facilities in the rooms.
- No bottle of water on arrival.
- Breakfast was scarce.
- We were not allowed to eat and drink by the pool… the manager herself however did!
- Towels for the swimming pool cost extra. We were not informed of this beforehand.
- Everywhere you look things are either broken or about to fall apart. Such as the reinforced but dangerously oxidized concrete platform (see picture).
- The walls of our room were painted with sqaushed mosquitoes.

The location. The hotel is just a short walk up from the Pompei Scavi stop and it’s right next to the ruins’ entrance. It’s a fair 10 minute walk from the town centre though, so there aren’t a variety of bars and restaurants to go to around the hotel.
The staff were also kind.
Unfortunately the room was dreadful. From what I gathered, the hotel has the “double room” and the “economy double room” and the double room seems to be the rooms inside the hotel building. Where as the economy double room seems to be the rooms that are outside by the parking area, which is what we had since it was the only room left on the website. The room advertises to provide a double bed, which we did not have, we had two singles put together. We were also put in the disabled room without being previously told so, this made our stay a bit more uncomfortable, the bathroom was completely adapted for a person in a wheelchair. We’re quite tall ourselves so it wasn’t ideal for a weeks stay.
The hotel only provide you with 1 shower gel sachet per person per day… which was also inconvenient since we stayed during the last month of August, it was hot and I would’ve like to shower maybe twice a day… especially if I took a swim in the pool, you would typically also want to shower then.
The room doesn’t have a fridge, a TV, nor many sockets… it’s outdated and fairly dirty. The room was also plagued with mosquitoes… to the point where we couldn’t even sleep at night because of the buzzing around our ears… and we saw that this was a problem from all the dead mosquitoes that were previously splattered on the walls…
And as a last disaster, it’s the only hotel I’ve ever visited that doesn’t charge you the stay when you arrive. This seems to have been a misunderstanding or a mix up by both my part and the hotel. I entered all my details for booking to handle the payment. But it turned out I didn’t and was supposed to pay at the hotel. As I arrive the receptionist checks us in and does not tell us about the payment.

Good location with a pool.
Our room was not very modern, the beds were not very comfortable, and we did not have AC (you could pay more for a room with AC).

The locations was great, close to the station and easy to get to. The pool was good, if you were allowed in.
The "shower" was a shower head in a bath, not a proper shower, so it was difficult to use. Also, the staff did not let us in the pool one evening because there was only 2 of us, then 5 minutes later, another couple went in and nothing was said.

Near Pompei and train station to Napoli and Salerno. Poll is the best thing when you came from Pompei.
Hotel is quite old and in our room was smell of
smoking.

The hotel location is really great for visits to Pompeii Archeological area. It appears to be a resort type hotel but was
slow during our stay in April 2023. Reasonable price and same for morning breakfast. Staff was courteous and
parking was free. All room items worked and I have no complaints about the hotel in general. During the day there are
a few restaurants open for the Pompeii visits, after 5pm or so everything shuts down and you have to go into the
town to find a restaurant. Train station is right across from the Archeological center if you wish to go to Herculeum or Naples.
Before staying, I would ask/email and make sure there are no large young adult groups are staying at the same time. We had 3 nights at the Villa Dei Misteri and on two nights there were Loud, Noisy young adults that were not monitored by their adult leaders.
The hotel should make it very clear that Young Adult groups are to be monitored and silent during their stay.
After all, a hotel is for a good night rest and sleep, not being awake until 12 and 1AM in the morning with noisy brats,
yelling, slamming doors and causing disruptions.

Great view of the mountains; the pool was closed but early in the season. Super convenient for visits to Pompeii. Not many good food options nearby.
Wifi was ok but inconsistent. Poor quality toiletries (shampoo, etc.)--a dispenser system may resolve this and still be economical for the hotel.
9.0 / 10.0
Fantastic location, ideal for the circumvesuviana train and for getting into Pompeii archeological site early enough to get some quiet time before the masses arrive. Good restaurants etc a short walk away. Friendly staff and good coffee at breakfast time.
Bathroom was clean and useable but a bit of an odd shower situation with a shower head in a small bath that you could shower yourself with but not high enough on the wall to have a standing shower.

Was excellent value for money was very close to everything, very clean a tidy
Nothing, it was very better than expected
1.0 / 10.0
Nothing.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND
Everything. The ad does not correspond at all to what is offered. the car is parked more than 200 meters away... it is necessary that they come to pick you up... you cannot take trolleys because the road is deteriorated, there is no mobile phone network, there is no wi-fi in the rooms... you are isolated from all!
PAID 2 NIGHTS. LEAVE FIRST. Refused to return the amount

Absolutely fantastic for Pompei, and the train to either Sorrento and Naples! Fantastic value for money! Will be definitely staying again! The only downside is I didn’t try the pool, weather and how busy the days were but will be jumping in next time!

The location is 5min to the Pompei train station and the entrance to Pompei Archaeological Park. The receptionist was very welcoming and helpful.
Everything in the room is a bit dated and outworn, but it's a good value for money.
7.0 / 10.0
This hotel is spotlessly clean. All rooms and public areas such as hallways were cleaned thoroughly daily. The hotel is of it's time yes, a little dated but brilliantly designed and built with very high quality materials. The pool area is fantastic, the design is just amazing, a real piece of quality architecture. Very good value for money and if your reason for being here is for Pompeii it's 5 minutes walk away, it would be ideal for say a two or three night stay if you want to give Pompeii and Herculaneum the attention they deserve.
Nothing to dislike about the hotel. There is no restaurant but just up the hill next door is a great evening outdoor bar and restaurant with a fantastic vibe about it though a bit pricey but that's where things are at. There isn't much else around, the cafe's and restaurants outside the gates of Pompeii close when the site does after dark so the town itself pretty much logs off when the gates of Pompeii close.

clean comfortable and convenient for the attractions. Great pool area and nice breakfast
7.0 / 10.0
Friendly staff and easy location for Pompeii ruins and circumvesuviana transport. Decent buffet style breakfast.
A/c was not cold, just blew air. Blankets felt like paper. Shower/tub situation was inconvenient. Had window open with no screen to cool off and many mosquitoes got in. Badet had no pressure making it unusable.

this is a budget priced hotel in a great location to visit the ruins. room was basic but clean bedding and towels. our room faced the car park unlike the lovely photos. swimming pool a great extra.
it is a little tired but clean.

Location could not be better for visiting Pompeii, Herculaneum and Vesuvius. The pool was an added bonus after a day sightseeing. The hotel and pool, although ageing are kept spotlessly clean. The staff were attentive and helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer. A great find!😊
There is some noise from the nearby train station. But this did not detract from our stay as the train is conveniently close.

I left a dress behind in the closet. When returned almost a month later to get it - they had it! So amazing!!
6.0 / 10.0
The pool is amazing and location to Pompeii. The breakfast was simple but decent (not the coffee though)
The room is very dated as is the AC, which is very loud, only works a little and looks as if it could catch fire any minute, meaning you can't sleep with it on. The staff are disinterested. The coffee at breakfast was like dishwater. You have to hold the shower up over the bath, and terrible water pressure. Loads of mosquitos about at night.

Pool was fantastic lovely setting so close to Pompeii.
Shower was very old .
