Location was good as was the food.
Desperately needs refurbishing. Cracked sink, broken loose roll holder, rusty mirror, faded pictures. Tiny bathroom, no shelf or anywhere to put toiletries. So bad couldn’t face using the electric shower.

everything was spot on

Friendly staff. Breakfast was ideal for my needs. Siting in the centre of town was useful. Room was well heated and shower worked well.
The hotel was closed during the day - I didn't discover I could still access it until a day into the stay.
4.1
Secluded, local to everything big enough, great location, private.
Dark entrance, blinds and roof blinds, no radiator in living room
4.1
Very helpful and friendly staff, upgraded room from shower to full bathroom easily sorted!
Noisy steps on stair case! Although didn’t really notice it once room door closed.
4.1
The staff !!!
Old property, so very dated. Bathroom floor tiles cracked & broken, could cut your foot without slippers or bath mat. No servicing of rooms during stay, the reason being ‘since Covid’ !!
4.1
A lovely old building with plenty of character, rooms are very quirky and a little small as expected but the bed was very comfortable. The bar has an old style feel about it with NO 'Sports TV' woohoo! Breakfast was very good and we used our vouchers (received at check in) so worked out very cheap. Great to park the motorcycle in the courtyard.
Room 4 (top floor on the bar side). The room was dusty (poor house keeping) and had a number of issues. The most important, in the bathroom the floor tiles are broken and loose exposing the sharp edge of the ceramic tile. We got over it by leaving a towel on the floor but it needs to be repaired asap. The TV (which didn't work) and kettle are supplied by a four plug extension lead that was too short so using the spare plug sockets for the hair dryer or a phone charger was hazardous. There were no water classes in the room. I'd love to recommend it but the place needs some attention.

Everything to do with our stay was wonderful...breakfast, room and location were all lovely.
Twas all good.

Great location.
Sorry to say -Non existent communication with ourselves and staff. Due to a wedding I tried to forewarn the hotel of our and our friends of our very late check in but it appeared that despite my 2 emails, a telephone call and talking to a young member of staff during the early suitcase drop off no one were instructed of our late arrival.Despite the door being unlocked and our cases appearing to have been left by the entrance all day we and the staff had been instructed of our late arrival After major panics a very helpful staff member in the nearby restaurant came to our rescue who eventually managed to provide us with keys.

Good room friendly staff. Food good

We had a room on the ground floor it was ideal for us as husband has health issues the staff were very friendly and helpful . We were staying as our son was getting married on the Saturday .
The choice of food we would of preferred more pub classics I’m sure food was lovely but just wasn’t for us .
4.1
Great value, spacious cottage
The area immediately outside could be spruced up a little bit

Friendly staff. Lovely drinks in the bar. Cozy and warm room.
Nothing to note.

Great location
Limited parking available on a first come first serve basis, although advertised as parking available. Very frustrating when you've just travelled for so many hours.
Where breakfast is advertised, your actually given a £6 voucher towards breakfast to use in the restaurant next door. When we went for breakfast the guy politely greeted us, then said he would be with us as soon as he could as he was the only one on, 10 minutes later both us and others were still waiting to be acknowledged so we left.
Television remote did not work.
Outside the reception door by the side entrance across from where you go for breakfast there was fresh dog poo which people were just walking past (stepping over).
No one around in the morning to hand the key back to, a young girl was on her phone in the laundry so I handed her the key.
The outside drainpipe was continually dripping keeping us awake.
It would of been nice to have a bottle of water in the room. Also there was some bulbs out too.
£115 for the night I don't feel it was value for money and on top of that we had to pay for parking on arrival, then my husband had to return to the carpark at 8am Sunday morning to pay parking again.

Lovely staff and perfect location.
We both enjoyed our stay definitely be stopping again.

The room was spacious full of character and comfortable. Comfortable bed.
Breakfast was available at the restaurant next door with a voucher. The menu was good if you had the time and wanted brunch but standard cereal ,fruit and yoghurt not available.
Although not over priced the price did not meet the price bookings had quoted.
Parking a nightmare.

Food and wine was good.
I stayed in Room 3 right at the top of the property in a room which slept up to 4 people. It was very cold, and the bathroom was very small with a poor layout, and not really adequate for a family room.
4.1
Just that the bathroom needs updateing
As above

Room was fine … but couldn’t get the TV to work (not the end of the world though). A couple of glasses could have been provided.
See above .. the two members staff at breakfast worked exceptionally well but could have had more help. Our wait to give order was a touch too long.

Great location, pretty quiet and nicely decorated. Lots of tea and coffee.
