Freundliches ruhiges Hotel. Ideal für einen Aufenthalt in Salzburg.

Gute Lage in fussläufiger Distanz zur Innenstadt, ruhig gelegen, freundliches Personal. Reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet und Möglicheit auf der Terrasse zu frühstücken.

Im Zimmer war es durch die nachmittägliche Sonneneinstrahlung sehr warm und es kühlte trotz Ventilator in der Nacht kaum ab.

Lovely pleasant stay

Lovely clean hotel big size room staff very friendly and helpful. . About a 10/15 walk to town or you could get the bus . Lovely garden also .

Das Zimmer extrem klein Die Ausstattung in die Jahre gekommen. Die Betten unbequem, nichts für Leute mit Rückenproblemen

Sehr empfehlenswert!

Das Hotel ist ein Familienbetrieb, das merkt man schon beim Betreten. Unkompliziert, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Alles ist sauber und gepflegt, sehr ansprechende Außenanlagen. Das Zimmer zur Straße fanden wir nicht störend, gut eingerichtet, bequeme Betten, sehr sauber alles, auch das Bad. Das Frühstück ist hervorragend, hier ist Frische angesagt, Eier, Obstsalat, alles da, wird immer nachgereicht. Wir waren schon oft in Salzburg, aber der „Ganslhof“ war mit Abstand am besten, auch die Lage ist super. Kurze Wege zum Bus , 15 Minuten zu Fuß in die Innenstadt. Wir bedanken uns herzlich und kommen gerne wieder.

Great spot in Salzburg

Owner very friendly and helpful with luggage, bus tickets, inquiries about rental cars, etc. While no air conditioning a large fan was perfect for keeping the room cool (and drying a few rinsed out clothes). Included breakfast was very good with a few different options daily. Easy walk to the old area and train station. A couple of restaurants were close by if you had walked enough that day, but lots a bit further. Grounds were very nice. Would stay again.

With no a/c a fan might not be enough in very hot weather.

The location, close to bus/tram to Salzburg centre.

It was advertised as an adult only hotel but for 2 nights in the next room was a baby and young child screaming.

It had everything we wanted in a hotel in terms of room, service and location.

Breakfast was a bit expensive for what we got. Price of the room was good but we were also charged for parking which, with the price of the breakfast, made the value less desirable. But, overall, would stay here again.

Nice family-owned hotel

The staff is very friendly and flexible, the rooms are large and quiet. Everything is very clean as well. Breakfast is simple but good.

It is about 20min walk from Altstadt, but there is a bus stop around the corner.

OTTIMO! VICINO AL CENTRO. EXCELLENT. CLOSE TO THE CENTRE. CLEAN. SUPER PARKING. FRIENDLY STAFF.

Hotel Ganslhof is located very close to the centre. Thomas the owner welcomed us with a smile and a lot of courtesy and helpfulness. The place is very relaxing, with a large private uncovered car park inside at a cost of € 10 per day. The room is well furnished. Modern bathroom with modern sanitary facilities and large shower. Well heated. The room has been carefully arranged and the bed made every day. The area is quiet and you sleep well. Comfortable bed. You can comfortably walk to the centre in 10 -15 minutes. So the car is not needed. And this is great because parking in the centre of Salzburg is difficult and expensive. Wi-Fi works well and is fast. Television on the wall. The breakfast € 14 is fair and plentiful. Breakfast room clean and very comfortable.

I would improve the central lighting of the room with a brighter lamp. But it's a marginal thing. After all, we didn't go to Salzburg to stay in the room.

Peaceful place to stay

Very nice hotel in a quiet place. Very friendly staff helped us absolutely with everything. The room was quite big, very comfortable and clean. It had everything we needed. The breakfast was really nice and tasty. Our son uses active wheelchair and the hotel is perfectly accessible. In general we were glad that we chose that hotel and we really enjoyed our stay in Salzburg.

Spacious room. Quiet - didn’t hear other guests. Good location - 10 minute walk to the smaller shops/restaurants, some pubs close to the hotel. 15/20 walk to the river and the main shops/restaurants. Owners very welcoming, gave lots of information about attractions. I would highly recommend The Sound of Music Tour, you have to do it when you in Salzburg. Plenty of picturesque views that we wouldn’t have seen.

Room was very hot, even at the end of November. Turned heating off, opened window, but couldn’t leave it open during the night due to street noise, but that was enough to make the room a comfortable temperature.

Very clean and very good value with parking

We traveled by car. Parking on the premises was big bonus (it costs 10 euros). We also enjoyed very clean room and nice breakfast. The walk from the hotel to the center of the town was very nice and not too long. I think it took us 15 min if that.

The breakfast was good, narrow choice but tasty. The room was very clean and well maintained. It was quiet, but we had a garden view. Wi-Fi connection was great.

The only thing that could be better was the lack of fridge in the room.

A welcoming property with excellent breakfast

Located in a quiet part of Salzburg, about 20-min. walk away from the historical center. Hosts are very helpful with guests' needs and maintain a clean facility. Breakfast is exceptional.

The overall property look is a little dated. The price is steep, but that's in line with all other hotels in Salzburg in the summer months.

It was OK because everyone was friendly and the place was very clean.

Everyone on the staff was very friendly. The room and all facilities were very clean. Breakfast was good.

The bed and the pillow were terrible. Bathroom was clean but very cramped. If someone has some extra poundage, they would find it hard to get into the shower.

The staff was very friendly, the breakfast very good. The location gave quick access to the walking zone in Salzburg.

Probably the hot days in Salzburg are not many, but we stayed in this hotel during those days and the air during the night was unbearable, The rooms have no air conditioned and the fan provided by the hotel did not help too much, since we were unable to open the windows during the night due to the noisy main street which is not far from the hotel. Also, the courtains were a problem for me, I prefer darkness for the night and the courtains being transparent did not offer me the darkness I need for a good night sleep.
