What an amazing place and wonderful hosts! The grounds are absolutely beautiful with ample garden space to sit with fruit trees and beautiful vegetation. The room was extremely clean, comfortable with a great ac and the breakfast was great with a lot of attention to detail. There are two terraces I could sit in with one being more private. They also provide a beach umbrella which is highly appreciated. The hosts could not be nicer, they dropped me off at the train station and also helped with my laundry which was highly appreciated as I am traveling for longer. You can write them through WhatsApp if you need anything and they respond very fast. The most beautiful beach in the area is located 11minute walk with a wonderful café a bit higher up where you can buy drinks and then get a lounge chair for free. I totally recommend staying in this gem!!

Authentic - lovely garden - beautiful surroundings - friendly hosts

Villino Eleonora has 4 cosy apartments secluded from each other. Breakfast on my little terrace served by smiling, helpful, yet always discrete family members.
Any questions quickly answered by message or in person. Our hosts Alessandro and Cinzia are always somewhere around, either cleaning or tending the beautiful rustic garden.
Sometimes the traffic was a bit noisy.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful, giving us great restaurant tips and helping with taxis to get to Tropea beach.
The home made breakfast was also a highlight each day, especially the coffee, fruit and eggs.
Nothing really, maybe the air conditioning could have been a bit more efficient but that was very minor.

Stop searching. You’ve found THE most amazing place to stay near the gorgeous city of Tropea on the Calabrian coast. Villino Eleonora is a gorgeous stately home, at the edge of the town of Parghelia and perched just above (10 minutes walking) from two of the regions most beautiful beaches (La Grazia and Michelino). The property is run by the wonderful Allesandro and his charming wife, super welcoming and full of excellent local recommendations. The property itself is stunning: the guest rooms are situated at one end of the beautiful gardens, each with its own private patio where a gorgeous and delicious homemade breakfast is served every day. The rooms are perfectly equipped, and filled with all of the small thoughtful touches that distinguish this place from 99.9% of hotels. Their website slogan says “Come as guests, leave as friends” and we certainly feel that way. Thank you for an exceptional experience

We loved Villino Eleonora! The rooms were so comfortable and the gardens were beautiful! We loved the view out over the sea. This really felt like the perfect B&B. It's close to Tropea, but far enough from the hustle and bustle that it was very peaceful. Breakfast in the garden in the morning was stunning and delicious.
Alessandro was very welcoming and helpful with recommendations for restaurants and sites. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer.

Superb Service and excellent breakfast

It was a very good atmosphere and Parghelia is a nice town next to the busy Tropea.
Because the owners went out of their way to make me breakfast at 6.30 and served it themselves in the patio of the room (in the garden area), it tipped me over to give the B&B a 10.
I reserved a great massage and have used the wellness afterwards. I felt completely relaxed when I came out.
the suggestion for dinner from the owner to go to Parghelia (Spizziculia) was a great choice, good food for a fair price.
for me it was excellent, but of you would prefer to be in walking distance of Tropea this might be just a bit to far away (depending on your fitness)

The accomodation is situated in the beautiful garden of the stately villa itself, which is located at the road into Parghelia with Tropea about 3 minutes by car down the road. Beautiful beaches are also very close by. The view over the sea is stunning, on brighter days Stromboli is even visible at the horizon. Convenient private parking is available across the road.
The room was very clean and comfortable, with a good bed and bathroom. It also had a table and a couple of chairs outside, which is very nice for breakfast and just sitting, enjoying the view over the sea. A beach umbrella and towels are also provided.
The staff was very kind, professional and helpful. Breakfast is very good and plentiful. Alessandro, the owner, even made us a bag of breakfast for our early trip back to the airport! We definitely would like to come back.
The villa is situated right at a road and a train line. There are only a few trains passing a day though, so it is not really a problem.

Really nice property and very hospitable host. If you wish to live in quite place but with a town near by this is the best choice. The host Alessandro is very helpful and shares good information about what to do around. I read reviews before about the breakfast and I concur, the breakfast is really good. It changes every day and Alessandro asks your dietary preference and also timming. For a boat trip around Aioli islands and had to leave early, they packed a breakfast and also drove to the Marina, this was very kind of them.
Graci, Alessandro and Cinzia for everything.

Nothing to complain.

Everything. Just to make it clear, the rooms have a mini bar fridge, tea, coffee and a kettle. The parking is in the fenced area directly opposite the villa and there are restaurant options within walking distance. The owner is a charming man who proud of his beautiful home and garden.
Nothing.

Nice people very helpful. The place was beautiful with the sea in the background and all these plants and flowers in the garden. We had a breakfast à la carte, gorgeous! Very good value for the money.
The dogs barking all night, but nothing our host could do against (he owns a lovely cat named aldo) it's rather an italian problem!

The cleanliness, the beautiful setting, our room, the scrumptious breakfast served in our private piece of garden and our guests' kindness and helpfulness

The breakfast was absolutely divine. It's not your typical store bought croissant. They literally cooked us eggs and made sure we had fresh fruits as well as toast and jam. I mentioned I was allergic to kiwi and they made sure our fruits did not have them. I also requested for soy milk and they were able to accommodate that as well.
They have air-conditioning!!!! We visited in August, the weather was absolutely horrendous and omg, air-conditioning in our room was a lifesaver. There were plenty of towels which I absolutely appreciated. They also have a mini bar, and trinkets in the bathroom like the ones you see in hotels.
Both Alessandro and Cinzia were lovely and truly made sure we were at our utmost comfort. The shower pressure was really strong and made our showers enjoyable (we took several because every time we go out, we end up drenched in sweat). They also provided us with beach towels and an umbrella to take to the public beach so we didn't have to go to a private one and pay more.
Alessandro provided so much insights of not only the town we're staying at (Parghelia), but also of Tropea up until Capo Vaticano! Aside from Google, do not hesitate to ask Alessandro for recommendations because he will provide info google won't!
You will never regret staying at this BnB! It was truly a slice of heaven which made our weekend trip much more relaxing and worth while.
As much as we love the location, the WiFi was a little bit weird. It was turning on and off which made it difficult for my husband and I to access the internet. We use the internet often so WiFi was absolutely crucial to whenever we go out to trips. However, when connected, it was fast enough to stream videos so no complaints there. It just turns on and off .
There was only one pillow per person which wasn't that bad but if you like those fluffy hotel pillows, just a heads up on that.
Truth be told though, I absolutely have no major complaints with the service, location, and accommodation, these are just simply me nitpicking just so I have something to put here :P
I would book another night in a heart beat haha

Rooms located in the garden of a lovely historic mansion. Like travelling back in time. Great staff, fabulous breakfast on your own private terrace. Often, single rooms are stuck somwhere in the back of the building, but here I had full seaview! I liked Parghelia more than Tropea: less crowded, small selection of good bars and restaurants and incredible beaches like Michelino at your fingertips (note: you’ll have to climb stairs and bring an umbrella - provided by the B&B. There are also beautiful beaches with sunbeds nearby but the scenery and crystal clear waters of Michelino are unparalleled). Will return next week!
Not the B&B’s fault, but good to know that like most accomodations in this area, the villa is next to a road and a train track (invisible from the garden and terraces). Did not bother me though, and I’m usually a light sleeper.

Really enjoyed everything, what a beautiful way to wake up with a full and fresh breakfast waiting for me outside my room. And how hospitable and welcoming Alessandro and Cinizia have been, sharing local tips and their beautiful villa!

I liked everything there!
This is a historical villa & bungalow, a family run business. It is situated next to the road and close to rail track, but there was absolutely no disturbance and you did not even notice this. Free parking is on the other side of the road and gate is secured.
The old main villa is full of various historical items and "things", but it gives the place the flavor, atmosphere. The view from the top of the villa is stunning. Sunsets with a Stromboli volcano are just WOW.
They have a small spa below and it's one of the prettiest I have seen. Looks like your own private spa lounge. We did not use it as we didn't have enough time, but I visited to check it out for the next time.
We were welcomed by our fantastic host Alessandro, who takes a well deserved pride of his beautiful place. These days, also all COVID-19 procedures and measurements were in place and all followed.
Our room was in a bungalow few meters away from the main building. We had our patio and part of the garden. There're olive trees and many flowers. Even if there're other guests, this was still very private.
Room was a bit rustic, but all carefully maintained and kept in a great condition. Actually very comfortable and pleasant to be in room. Bed was fantastic and selection of pillows and sheets was really good, we have a great night sleep. A/C / heater was easy to use and efficient. Wi-Fi was comp. and (after restart) was working perfectly fine. Room is also secured and you have curtains / shutters if you want even more privacy.
There was a small flat-screen TV, coffee/tea making kit, mini-fridge, mini-safe and plenty of storage space.
Bathroom was with a shower, fluffy towels (I want to know their secret!!!), luxurious toiletries and of course, it was spotless clean.
Breakfast was served just outside our room, on our patio. It was DELICIOUS and looked amazing. Both days. Sooooo tasty and how it looked made you immediately happy.
Only what I did not like, that I did not book more than 2 nights. Next time. Loved the place.

Not much to do in the town but the neighbouring Tropea is beautiful.

Alessandro and Cinzia are not simply hosting. I felt like being home. It has been years since I experienced this kind of hospitality, comfort, calm, and quiet. The breakfast was excellent, the view of the Stromboli was stunning and all the atmosphere including the garden incredibly unique. Alessandro also gave me some good tips on tasty restaurants, and places to visit nearby. Alessandro, hope to meet you soon again. Grazie mille, Giorgio
Staying was too short. I wish I could have been staying there longer. Otherwise all perfect.
