The room was nice and quiet. The staff was very helpful and accommodating.
It was a little hard to find, but the venue was very nice and well-kept.

very quiet and nice place, the feeling of old house. Nice neighborhood and not crowdy.
If the owner is there then its super but if not then the some of employees are not very helpful and you feel very small, specially if you allready leaving.

The staff were very welcoming and kind. Although we arrived late, we had a delicious dinner - compliments to the chef. The restaurant has a friendly, relaxed vibe and our room / apartment was very spacious and clean. We had an excellent breakfast în a friendly and pleasant atmosphere. Great value for money and a fine exemple of Bavarian hospitality!

Charming hotel with lots of character and with Biergarten
The family room was huge (it’s actually was like a 2,5 room apartment)
The bells of the church next door ring every 15 min even through the night!
WiFi in our room on 3rd floor was barely working.

Very large family room..
Peaceful setting.
Breakfast was good.
Difficult to find with sat-nav because the address sends you to a different village !
Guest house is not in Hohenschaftlarn as it states!
The staff are ok but not over friendly..
The double room was disappointing and very dated..

Room ok, clean and comfortable.
If you want to sleep good, don't choose this place. Next to is a church with ringing bell every 15 minutes, even during the night :( is really annoying.

Beds were very comfy.
Staff were very accommodating as our flight had been delayed and we were very late. It was no problem

We liked friendly & helpful female staff member who helped us get our kids settled for their breakfast and helped us with our check out. The breakfast seemed good, there were boiled eggs, fried eggs, warm bread rolls and a variety of jams, nutella, honey etc. There was the typical German meats & cheeses, yoghurt, some fresh fruit and teas and coffee. I didn't have breakfast due to dietary restrictions but our 2 kids (9&11 yrs old) did and they were happy.
We didn't start off feeling very welcome because when we arrived we were greeted by a gentleman who was sitting in the dining area of the restaurant opening mail. He didn't get up but continued opening his mail and said 5 minutes. So we hung out while he finished opening his mail and then he got up to help us check in. Maybe its a cultural thing because we are not German, but this complete lack of customer service felt like an ominous sign that we did not know enough to head. It certainly didn't leave me with a warm & fuzzy feeling. It was almost like we were bothering him. Which was in stark contrast to the woman who helped us check out the next morning. She was friendly and delightful. A little continuity in service would go a long way.
Once we got to our room we were even more deflated. This stay was for a single overnight and we weren't expecting much, we definitely knew we were not booking a luxury hotel, but we did expect it to be clean. It was not. The room had an overall grimy feel, from the VERY dirty bathroom to the dingy walls, it was all very UGH. In the bathroom, there was mold/mildew growing in the shower grout lines, there was dirt in the tub, when my husband tried to use the shower head to rinse it out, he & the entire bathroom & hallway ended up wet because the showerhead sprayed literally, everywhere. The toilet had NOT been cleaned, I mean we all poop, but other peoples feces is not what I want to see when I walk in. The damp/dank smell from the bathroom was really bad and none of us wanted to even use the bathroom at all so we kept the door closed and tried to pretend what existed on the other side of that door wasn't so bad. But it was. It was a struggle to get my son to use the faucet to even brush his teeth. There was hair and dirt in the corners and it was just generally dirty.

The room was quite good, the location was exactly what we aimed for. And the value for money is excellent. The wifi was quite fast as well.
The room walls are not sound proof, we were always pretty careful with the tv voice(raising and lowering volume all the time 😅). Also, the shower could leak lots of water.

The receptionist was pleasant and helpful!
Where to begin?! We had difficulty to reach hotel since roads around the hotel are closed due to the reparations. We arrived at 13...on the phone they told us we can enter room from 11...and even thought we arrived at 13 our room was not yet clean and ready! Even after cleaning room seemed not really clean not cost. Old and uncomfortable furniture.
Anyhow the real fun started in the evening. We came back from the lake and wanted to sleep. Room has no climate or ventilator so one has to open the window. When you open the window you can hear very loud rings from the church that is just by the hotel. And it doesn’t stop. Every 15minutes WHOLE DAY AND NIGHT it keeps ringing. So it was really impossible to sleep! Even with closed windows due to the poor sound isolation you can still hear it, not to mention that in that case it is like in sauna.
We had booked breakfast (7€ per person) which was nothing special but was acceptable. The thing at the breakfast that is certainly unacceptable is the dirty mugs, glasses and no water (still water)!
So after first night we decided to check out earlier than planed. In the morning we packed and wanted to check out but the only person from stuff was the cleaning lady so we gave keys to her and left ASAP.
I wish they change something or at least lower the price so people know what to expect. It was really awful experience!!

It was a quiet place and the restaurant was really nice. Fair prices for a nice meal.
The room wasn’t clean, bathroom was quite old and the bed was from the last century.
