Cosy, clean, right in town. Very cute!

Cute, clean, cosy! Right in town. Love the history of the old school house. Super easy self check-in.

Grass a little overgrown and a few weeks at the front fence. Down the side of the house is a bit messy.

We lived in the School House for one night. The little cottage is very suitable for our family of 4.

* the bathroom didn't have a lock? could not lock from inside when someone having a shower or using the toilet. * as there are two new little units behind the School House, we actually could not park on the driveway. The new parking spot for us was quite small and a bit hard to get out from the parking spot. If there is enough space to make a new parking spot at the front yard, that will be better.

Excellent.

Cottage had soul. Great restoration whilst still keeping the character and the history of the cottage. Loved the toiletries , bottle of rosé, organic milk.

Kitchen utensils were basic.

Location, cleanliness. Stayed in for three nights in Dec 23. Sue, the host, is a fantastic person to deal with.

Ok accommodation but would not return

Great central location, and the cottage are in a lovely garden setting.

The bathroom was impossibly small and dark. The fan didn't work and wasn't repaired during our stay, The room was all dark wood panelling and impossible to use the mirror for makeup.

We had a lovel 3 days in our comfortable and very quiet cottage. A great location and good walking area.

Bright, quiet and comfortable home near the shops and good walking area. A nice greeting with fresh flowers, wine and milk in the fridge.

Would stay again. Thanks to our hosts for making our cottage so welcoming. We also felt very welcome

The cottage was extremely comfortable. After settling in we were visited by our host, who showed us the few extra 'treats' that were included in the cottage. The cottages are so handy to pretty much all of Bicheno. Would not hesitate to stay there again on a future visit.

We loved the old Goal Cottage immersed in all her history and stories - but all the quality modern comforts - highly rec

Loved the location. Very peaceful, and comfortable.

The location was fantastic, close enough to walk to 90% of the town. Good shops, fresh seafood were all easy to get to. Would definitely recommend and book again.

Only minor dislike was the frying pan was warped and surface was not suitable for cooking.

wonderful location and excellent old charm presentation

we liked the presentation, old world charm of the furniture and its history, the kitchen facilities and condiments provided, the location, communications with owner re Coles Bay fire info, the lavender sprigs with the extra towels,

there were three of us so we moved the table away from the window to under the bench, making it easier to get into the kitchen as well as eat from. We also needed somewhere to put our make up bags in the bathroom so we moved the little table holding the flowers into the bathroom careful not to get it wet. we wanted to move the double chair to face the TV and the single chair to face the door but found it too difficult to move. would have been nice to have some sort of small/low height table where the TV is

A lovely few days, good location and interesting accommodation.

Historical features and information - we were staying in the Gaol House. Warm and comfortable. Excellent location. We would stay again.

Overhead lighting was very bright; I moved bedroom lamps to make a more pleasant ambience. Warm white options might be generally better. Kitchenette functional but the toaster is too small for handcut bread or crumpets. If there were 4 people, the kettle is too small (and seemed to leak). A small upgrade in the kitchen generally could make a real difference though. A reflector strip or even a metal edge on the step into the living area would make it more visible. I was being careful generally because of the uneven floor levels but still managed to turn my ankle and fall (I do have some minor mobility issues but I think it could happen anyway).

Lovely stay, hoping to return in the future.

The location is excellent/very walkable to all things in town as well as the walking tracks and paths. The host was also very helpful and provided a nice compendium and shared useful tips.

Great stay excellent location.

Location was excellent. Easy communication how to get the code with the key lock at the front door. The Gaol house was roomy.

The open fire did not generate much heat and the wall heater did not work properly. In the lounge room I would suggest getting rid of the chair which was quiet uncomfortable and put in another two seater couch

experiencing tasmania and it has been lovely and welcoming

we liked everything about the cottage, lovely and cosy, everything worked, lovely spot, easy to walk to shopping and around the beach. Beds were comfortable. would recommend this to all my friends if they were looking for a place to stay in Bicheno
