Lovely weekend away.

A lovely, spacious, well equipped cottage in a beautiful location. The lake, table tennis and hot tub were great to have and well maintained. Our hosts were really helpful and had put up Christmas decorations and lights which was a lovely surprise. We all really enjoyed staying here.
Slightly tricky to find the first time (in the dark) although good directions were provided.

Lovely setting. Surrounded by fields with horses and cows which our daughter loved. Nice garden with decking area and bbq.
Oak cottage needs a lot of money spending on it. The shower was really terrible which we found very frustrating as there’s seems to have been money spent on other amenities outside. The property is quite old fashioned and dark and definitely needed updating. Also despite being advised that it was child friendly, the upstairs is slightly strange in that there’s no hallway and you have to walk through one room to get to another. This means that there’s no door in between the bedrooms and stairs which poses issues if you have a toddler! The wall in between each bedroom is also so thin and the door is somewhat flimsy so you can hear everything. All in all we paid quite a lot for a week and didn’t feel we got value for money when we compared this property to other places we’ve been on the past

The location is lovely - the cottages are set among fields and woods adjacent to the owners' farm. The upstairs rooms provide panoramic views across the countryside. There is a spacious enclosed garden. Dog friendly.
The wifi didn't work sufficiently for streaming or zoom calls. The kitchen units were OK but a bit run down. Lilewise the furniture has seen better days.

Surroundings and facilities are amazing. The man made lake and the surrounding areas are absolutely beautiful and great for children who enjoy a swim. The use of a personal hot tub and bbq it fantastic idea and can really feel like a home from home. Theres lots of picturesque views and whilst you need a car to get around there is lots nearby in Challock and Badlesmere if you enjoy walking its pretty good too.
Nothing.
