Peaceful and quiet. The sunrises and sunsets.

We loved the fresh eggs. The location worked well for us, easy access to Joshua Tree Park. It was quiet and private and kitchen was well stocked. Patricia was very friendly and communicated well with us when we had questions. It was great that we could bring our dog. We spent the majority of our time outside - ate outside, played board games at night outside, two of us slept outside.
No complaints

Quiet, very eclectic lodging. Close to Joshua tree. Kitchen was fully equipped. Enjoyed all the reading material available and the fact that there was no tv. Very peaceful and enjoyable.
Some ants did appear climbing up the wall side of the bed from the dust ruffle. Bed could have been more comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay at Flying Point Homestead. The location is beautiful and we didn't have any problems accessing the location, which we, based on the directions sent to us beforehand feared. It was easy. The kitchen has everything, the house was in general really nice and the view fabulous. Communication was also easy. Would very much recommend.
Unfortunately, the previous visitors had not disclosed to Flying Point Homestead that they brought a dog. The couch was therefore full of white dog hairs that stuck to out clothes - annoying, because we don't have time to wash it before returning home and it's just not nice having shirts and pants completely covered in someone else's hairs. Patricia, very nicely, offered to come vacuum the couch, but damage had already been done, so we just stayed clear of the couch the rest of the stay.
Further, we received a lot(!) of information in seperate emails beforehand. It is very nice being adviced etc. but it also felt a bit excessive.

This is our second time staying here because we love it so! This place probably won’t be to everyone’s liking, but if you are looking for an amazing place to stay that is “in the middle of nowhere” yet conveniently close to 29 Palms and JTNP, this is it. Host is amazing. Place is well-stocked with things to make your stay comfy and feel like home (kitchen utensils, extra blankets, towels, etc.). Desert eclectic at its finest.
Nothing.

Cozy trailer.. We’ve had an amazing experience in the middle of the desert.. Stargazing, bonfire plus smore’s and wonderful view of the sunrise..

If you'd enjoy staying in a private cabin in the middle of the desert, stay at this property.
It was drop-dead gorgeous.

Beautiful secluded desert location. Old picturesque trailer with a lot of charm. Super comfy bed and sofa. It was really cosy once I turned the heating on. Plenty of spots to hang outside and watch the sunrise / sunset. The old cars, boats and assorted sculptures were nice. Patricia was very helpful. Superb wifi, surprisingly!
It took me a while to get used to the trailer and what all the switches and buttons do since many were old and inoperable. Can be a bit cramped in there, especially in the bathroom area.

We liked everything! The house is in a absolutely great location. Everything is modern and super clean. Perfectly equipped with everything you need. You will need a car to get to the location. We explored the Joshua Tree Park and sourroundings and this was the perfect location to stay for us! Thank you so much for this great experience!
The only thing we did´t like, was that we could not spend more time :-)

The style, the views, boats and old vintage cars on sand, the way how the house is decorated outside was incredible.
The last fragment of way leading to property is made from sand ( less than 1 km) and it is little tricky for normal cars.

The location was amazing, the layout and decoration of the house was beautiful.
There were several places outside to relax, have an aperitif, watch the stars.

Incredible stay at Flying Point. If you're looking for a base to visit Joshua Tree National Park, Palm Springs and more, this is the place. Has everything you could possibly need: 2 bedrooms, AC, privacy, fully stocked kitchen, 2 bathrooms, washer and dryer, and front and back porches. The house is as advertised but better. Our host Patricia came by to say hi and make sure we had everything we needed. The best part for us was the absolute quiet and beauty of sitting on the front porch every morning and evening. We watched the sunrise and saw coyotes and bunnies. Really magical and would definitely stay here again!

It was a nice trailer with everything you need. The desert surrounding it is beautiful.
unfortunately it was very hot during our stay. we could not enjoy the outdoors.

Beautiful place to stay with lovely touches that made it a great stay. Loved the bathroom and the kitchen facilities.

Just the right distance away from everything. Isolated but not too much. Beautiful night sky. Clean, well-kept home, and comfortable. Enjoyed being able to wash our clothes after hiking. The hosts were extremely communicative and helpful, while giving us total privacy. We enjoyed the peace and silence in the evening.
Not sure I could have wanted anything different. If I had to truly nitpick, I would wish that the 'porchlight' on the neighboring Airstream trailer accomodation wasn't so very bright. Kind of affected my night vision a little when trying to look at stars. But overall fantastic stay.

Great location, close to Joshua tree, perfect place to stay with group or family.
Not many restaurants around. Place is quite big for two!

I loved the view from the front door of the Bungalow. Loved the open space and the privacy we felt from all the world, even the neighbors at the Flying point location.
Bed was slightly uncomfortable and couch was also not the most comfortable but we spent the least time on either of those. We had so much to do and enjoyed every bit of it

This place was great!! The kitchen was well equipped, the bathroom was large and stocked with plenty of towels, and the view in the morning was beautiful! Would absolutely stay again.
A grill was advertised and was available but it didn't work and was pretty dirty.

We stayed at the Bungalow which was very clean and comfortable. Patricia is a great host and responsive to any questions or needs. She provided great suggestions for things to see/do in Joshua Tree National Park. The location is quite unique with an excellent view. We enjoyed the night sky as well as beautiful sunrises. We would stay there again.

An amazing place to stay! Where to begin? First of all, the host Patricia was amazing and very attentive with communications. The property itself is desert eclectic cool! All the modern conveniences inside with the solitude of the desert outside. The patios are super fun! Wi-fi is amazing. Beds are super comfortable. Good hot water and water pressure in the shower. Appliances are super modern. The kitchen and everything else is fully stocked with just about anything you could ever need from pots and pans to extra blankets. If you are looking for a self-sufficient vacation stay near Joshua Tree NP, this is a great spot! If you are looking for nightlife and room service, go elsewhere. We didn’t want to leave and we can’t wait to come back!!!
I’m glad we brought our little Weber Q grill. The propane grill on the back patio is in pretty rough shape. Didn’t detract from our stay—just something to note.
