Great quiet place. Nice owners. They had a place to park a bike if you need it. Water is a 30 second walk. Many restaurants nearby and main part of downtown (more bars and restaurants) is a 10 min walk. Air conditioning worked great.

Great location within walking distance to many great restaurants and bars / Very friendly owners that take good care of their guests / Beautiful hotel complex with a pool and nice garden / Each room has a porch facing the garden
The standard room was rather basic and offered a minimum level of comfort. For the price I would have expected more modern rooms.

Casa Nina is such a cute place. The rooms are simple, but it's one building off the main street so it's like a quiet little oasis. It's very pleasant to sit around the pool in the sun or shade, and the owners are very helpful. I had an issue with my rental car, and the owner acted as a translator for me with the rental car company, negotiating a discount for me because of the inconvenience. Great spot.
Unfortunately they weren't serving breakfast due to Covid although other restaurants were back open. If it's important to you to be able to eat at your hotel, check that before you book.

The location is not bad.
The wifi is very unreliable. The front desk closes very early and is often unavailable. Facilities are old. The price is high compared to other fancier hotels. You can find much more good value hotels in the area. There are no blankets, only the bed sheet. The shampoo doesn't come out in the bathroom.

Hotel should be adults only. Owner and his wife run the hotel. They are not used to work in the service industry. They expect their standard for raising kids is applicable for other countries in the world were kids arent allowed to be kids.
They are more concerned about the chair being the right place than the guests feeling welcome.
So why didnt we feel welcome?
We were there for 1 day. 4 families. (1 Danish, 1 British, 2 American)
The owners didn't like the guests using their pool and playing in it - happy children sounds are to noisy. (Total time in pool 30 minutes, total judgements 3). The cleaning lady was so scared when she checked us in because she knew what the owners would feel when they came back.
Walls are very thin. So in the morning at 8 you couldn't even have a conversation outside.
You want to be outside. Rooms are very empty and basic and very small and have no windows.
Room were full of mosquitos. Internet was terrible.
No soap, no water for drinking. Some had a broken shower, and some had missing sheets.
1 family had a sick kid with high fever - and we asked for 1 hour extension for that family of checkout. The owners had a brief convseration about it but decided that the 1 cleaning lady could clean all rooms at the same time. So that was a no. As an extra service we were allowed to stay on the premise for an additional hour.
Nice atmosphere but Rooms are very poor. And you don't feel welcome. The experience ruined our trip to the city.
It felt like a cheap motel. Not a hotel For 150 dollar for 1 night. We were actually shocked.
THe owner got back to us on our google review, sadly with a lot of pointing. We felt like we would be better of not being accepted for booking so we could use our money elsewhere. The transaction was not pleasent for us nor for the owners of the hotel.
1 kid was hold responsible for a domino piece missing in a game to 5 dollars.
