Sue and Paul are very nice hosts. We chose the optional casual dinner, which was delicious, this allowed us to get to know our hosts and how they came to own and run Grey Ridge Vineyard. The wine is excellent and it was enjoyable to tour the vineyard with Paul. Sue prepared a delicious continental breakfast each morning with her homemade jams and jellies. We would certainly come back in a heartbeat and highly recommend anyone else to come to Grey Ridge Vineyard. The surrounding countryside is typical New Zealand … outstanding beauty.
We thought about this, and we can’t find anything we didn’t like (other than we had to leave).

All the little things in and about Grey Ridge added up to an enjoyable stay.

Lovely hospitable hosts. Brilliant location. Luxurious bedrooms.
Would have been no ce to have good WiFi and a small tv in the lounge.

A very warm welcome from Paul & Sue. Paul showed us around the vineyard followed by a brief wine tasting. The rooms were with comfortable beds and next mornings generous breakfast was in their sunny kitchen.
We can highly recommend the Grey Ridge Vineyard Experience.

Breakfast and Hosts were wonderful and the evening meal and wine tasting was excellent.
Catered for my partner who is Vegan
The water pumps (I think) may have been located in the ceiling void. These need to be insulated for noise.
We were hoping the view would be of the vineyard.

This was our first night stay in New Zealand and we couldn't have picked a better place. Sue and Paul were the friendliest and most accommodating hosts. The room was very clean and comfortable. Our hosts offered us a tour of their vineyard, a wine tasting of their own homemade wines, and dinner, which was fantastic. We also enjoyed a breakfast. Sue and Paul are great conversationalists, and we wish we could have stayed longer. If you have the opportunity, you must stay at Grey Ridge Vineyard. We would also recommend booking with them directly, as they mentioned they offered perks if you do so.

Our experience at Grey Ridge was fabulous. The property and the location was picturesque and the accommodation was faultless. Our hosts were relaxed and so enthusiastic about the vineyard and their wines. Would highly recommend the dinner and wine experience. A highlight of our trip.

everything- everything was high quality and the hosts looked after us so well. We are now well informed about the making of wine - best wine tasting ever and wine was excellent- shame we are limited with luggage allowance.Dinner on our fist night was lovely and we really enjoyed just chatting.
for us everything was great

Very clean serene setting. Marvelous views from the dining room to the viniard and the snowcapped ridges. The aroma of freshly baked croissants is unforgettable The tour was very informative and the wine tasting experience was delightful. We've learned a lot about the grape cultivation, label design, and the art of wine making. Thank you for the complimentary glass of your wine and for answering all our questions.
The sitting area in the 2 bedroom suite is on the small side. It would have been nice to have a couple of plates and cutlery, besides the cups and glasses that were supplied. Bed duvet too thick and too heavy; yet the bedrooms have ample heaters.

We travelled as 2 couples from Auckland. Grey Ridge Vineyard is an amazing property, and our stay was fantastic.
Sue and Paul are great hosts - Paul gave us an insider's tour of his boutique vineyard, which was educational and very interesting. Sue hosted the wine tasting - the wines are really good!
Our bonus experience was stargazing from the property's carpark area at night. We loved it that we could watch the night sky from the comfort and security within the property's compound. Will definitely stay again.

Nice, self-contained unit, very clean and comfortable. Didn’t spend long in it because we had the tasting with Sue, a tour with Paul, then dinner with the two of them. Great food and excellent company - a nice stay after three days’ cycling. Fabulous, quiet location and very good wine.

A pleasant and well appointed unit. Owners friendly and helpful. Short drive to local areas of interest
Garage band practising for several hours during one afternoon. Doesn't happen often apparently

Amazing experience! Sue and Paul were wonderful and welcoming hosts. We enjoyed a lovely wine tasting (high quality wines) on the terrace with great views led by Sue and a really interesting tour through the vineyards by Paul. The spaces in the suite are very comfortable, especially the bed, and they respected our privacy. We had an incredible breakfast while having a very nice conversation with Sue, time went so fast and it was a shame that we had to go! We highly recommend this experience, thank you, guys!!
