Excellent breakfast with very good service. Staff could not have been more helpful.

Very well situated hotel with great rooms, facilities and staff- a great welcome to Cape Town

Beautiful And convenient property. Excellent staff. Wonderful facilities. We will definitely be back!

Great accommodations and great customer service! We last minute booked a night due to flight changes so we only got to experience this place for a night. In that time they helped with recommendations and booking a dinner for us. I wish we had more nights here!
A little pricey for Cape Town in winter but a very nice place.

This is an amazing boutique lodge. What makes it stand apart are the fabulous staff and their personalized care and attention as well as the refined African decor (each space was unique). We enjoyed walking the promenade from the lodge to the V& A waterfront and there was a small pharmacy around the corner for quick purchases. Ubers arrived in 2-3 min and cost averaged $3 (45 rand) to the waterfront or to local restaurants. We will definitely return.

Most staff were very friendly. The breakfast was very good.
The room, while nice and clean overall, was a bit strange. We were under the impression there were 2 bedrooms, however it was more like a king bed in the living room and another bed in a corner. There were no separators which was a bit awkward for me and my colleague.
Secondly, there was no door on the shower. A very strange choice for any group that stays there, albeit a family, coworkers, or friends. It seemed like a honeymoon suite with 2 beds? I'm not really sure who the room is designed for.
Third, this is a smaller concern but seems like something to bring up considering the price of the room. There was only internet TV available to watch, like youtube or apple plus. I can get that anywhere. Part of the traveling experience is seeing what other cultures watch, and if I'm paying a shitton for a room it would be nice to enjoy the room and have this experience. We wanted to watch the rugby game and had no way to see local television.
Finally, and probably most concerning, soon after we had checked in we were relaxing and napping in our beds when we heard someone enter our room. I got up to see that a worker had mindlessly entered without knocking or any semblance of a warning. This is unacceptable. Granted, the manager had graciously allowed us to enter the room early prior to normal check in, however there is still no reason for this to happen.
If you want to pay a lot for a nice breakfast and a nice manager this is the place to stay. However, earlier in our trip we had stayed at an apartment hotel in a better location for under half the price. I believe there are better options overall unless you are maybe two swingers couples on your honeymoons.
If the price was more reasonable, my review would be a lot more favorable.

Very nice small hotel in Seapoint, Cape Town. Very friendly staff and good breakfast.

Everyone of the employees and staff went out of their way to ensure our first visit to Cape Town was incredible.
We loved everything about our stay at the lodge!

Breakfast was excellent; however we ate fairly early and they did not have the buffet fully stocked at that point. ONly later, after we finished, did we pass by the buffet area and notice they had a lot of delicious looking food set out that was not there earlier, so I wasn't too pleased about that

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Blackheath Lodge! Our room and balcony were wonderful. The staff, service, breakfast, and property were all amazing. We booked the Cape Peninsula tour through BHL as well and had a great time. We hope to come back and stay again someday!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The price was little high for the facility. Other than that no complaints
Price. Going from front door to the room. Too many steps up and down

The staff were incredible - they knew guests by their names, always asking about our days, giving recommendations or booking restaurants for us when we didn't have one on the first night. They also gave a thorough run-through of the city on arrival including safety precautions when wandering around.
As we were staying for 10 nights they offered us a free upgrade halfway through our trip. The interiors are stunning and i would like the interior designer to decorate my home!
absolutely nothing! Couldn't fault it.

Excellent location, free parking and a very warm welcome. Close to shops, restaurants and a good walk to the V&A Waterfront. On our final day a real bonus was having space to sit once we had checked out of our room and also access to a bathroom with shower. Our room was really spacious and comfortable. Would definitely not waste time looking elsewhere on any return trip to Cape Town

Everything - staff in particular are amazing - shout out to Godfrey and Riano - so good we decided to go back
Nothing!

Every little detail had been thought of
4.8
clean, good size rooms, parking available
security - patio door was left open by cleaners whilst we were out all day. Also the property does not have any back up generators for load shedding so there was zero electricity at pointe in the day whereas we stayed at other hotels and b&b s in South Africa which did not have total power cuts
felt more like a bed and breakfast rather than a hotel (which is fine!)

Very friendly stuff, rooms were tastefully decorated, breakfast with fresh tasty fruits and a large range of food, good located and quiet. The whole location has an original South African feeling with international and pleasant guests. Inner courtyard with characteristic plants and a cute pool.

Excellent location to explore the city, comfortable bed, well designed room with balcony, excellent breakfast, particularly the Benedict eggs, very kind and helpful staff.
Not enough space for parking, but possible to find it with acceptable distance on the same street. Nothing to complain about, really great place to stay.

lovely, knowledgeable staff. Personal feeling. Feels like an oasis.
We felt welcome here with a small child.
The family room with two doubles has a very steep stair in it. wasn’t a problem for us, but don‘t book this room with toddlers.

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful boutique hotel. We were made to feel extremely welcome from the moment we arrived. We were there extremely early before our check in and we were offered a lovely breakfast, shower, use of the pool and our room was made available as quickly as they could. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful and go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable, Karin in particular looked after us very well. The location is close to the v&a waterfront which is great for restaurants and bars. The room itself was comfortable with a large bed and good shower and everything was very clean. Pool was also lovely.
