Clean, comfortable, well located. Staff very friendly. Upper end toiletries.
Not a complaint. It didn’t feel like a suite but more a hotel room.
4.5
Great location with helpful & friendly staff.
Continental breakfast was terrible. Not much of a selection and no hot food. This should have been included in price of the room, not worth the £17.00 pounds I was charged per person!!!

Lovely staff and very welcoming. A bottle of Prosecco and a lovely card was left in the room for our arrival as it was our anniversary. It was really appreciated .

The location was great, but that really is the only great thing about your hotel
We kept having to kill flies in our room every day (great big ones). Terrible beds, terrible bedding, Asked female receptionist for a lightweight blanket and was told that I would have to go buy one!!!!! On the other hand a male receptionist went out of his way to find us a good place to buy a wool kilt. Got locked in the small shower because the door is askew. Had to get the help of my grandson to finally jar the door open. Bathroom way too small. Room needs a deep cleaning.

Très central. Proche du château. Très calme.
Petit-déjeuner inclus dans le tarif de la location alors que l’établissement ne propose pas de petit déjeuner ! Le matin il faut sortir de l’hôtel pour prendre son petit déjeuner.

Location was the best it could possibly be. Right near so many sops and things to see and do. Easy walk from the train station. The rooms themselves were very clean and comfortable. Each room had coffee, tea and water. The rooms were spacious and had everything we needed.
On the walk from the train there is a pretty big stair way to get up to the building. I had my son carry my bags up for me. When we arrived there was very very loud construction and a remodel going on in the main lobby. It smelled strongly of fresh paint and saws were going off. We also requested that our room be next to our two children's rooms. They ended up putting os on completely different floors. Also, this is a huge building and all three rooms were in terrible locations. My husband and I had a room in the basement looking up to the street through a small hole (it was quite though since we were practically underground). Our sons room looked right into the stairway we walked up when we first arrived. There were bars on the windows. He had people right outside his bedroom and bathroom window all night long. Our girls room looked over a brick building and noisy pub at the back of the building. They heard people till the wee hours of the morning drinking and laughing. We only ever saw a few other guests the entire time we were there so I can not understand why we ended up with such terrible locations and so far apart. We should have been together on the same floor and somewhere were we had a better view. If it looked packed with guests I would be much more understanding but it was not.

No breakfast or snacks.

Excellent location, lovely bathroom.
We asked for a twin room, but the beds were pushed together. It was no bother to move them apart but then the moddle gap revealed a dirty floor.
There were also issues with the heating, but the staff solved this in an afternoon.

Central location, friendly staff, great view, room was clean and tidy, spacious, bathroom was great
If I had to be picky the bed was a bit too hard

ESTAFADORES

Situated fantasticly, rooms are a great set up with everything needed. Got checked in early and was no issue holding our bags day of check out.
No real issue but Couldn't get showered going first day we were there and after travelling and walking we wanted to freshen up. We rang reception and they said maintenance would be up in a couple minutes. After 30 minutes we had to ring down again.
Can hear the water running through the pipes if someone on the floor above is showering, slightly off-putting when trying to sleep in morning and evening.
Just one spotlight out of 4 in the bedroom was working.

Excellent location on Royal Mile. Friendly and helpful team.
Needed to find local shops that didn't appeal to tourists however reception staff were able to help.

Good location
Staff extremely helpful and friendly
Clean room
Had to pay to be upgraded as first room had a view of an alley full of rubbish. Also constant loud humming noise, sounded like a generator.
Went through to next door for breakfast however didn't eat there as didn't look inviting.

1st floor, where our bedroom was located, was under renovation. Not very pleasant to be in a construction site.

Location was superb.
Expectation for a “suite” would have included a sitting area in the room but it was not promised so the room was fine. It would have been great to have an opportunity to buy a drink or aperitif in the afternoons to enjoy in a public space but we understand that space is limited.

The location in the city, fantastic!
It was a bit dirty in the room. We were three people, but it was only plates, glasses and cutlery for two. The sofa bed stung me with iron everywhere, and it could maybe be smart to make it a little bit more cosy. In the reception we did not feel very welcome, but we tried to remind ourselves that we too were paying guests.

The room was facing South and it was so hot that for 3 nights I was unable to sleep. I know that this weather is unique and staff tried to help but 3 nights I was unable . My family members had another room and it was ok as it was not facing south

The location was perfect in my book! It is a short half block off the Royal Mile, just across from St. Giles church. It was quiet, the street view was fantastic and we came and went with ease as we walked the streets of Edinburgh. I have visited Edinburgh before, this is the best stay yet.
we followed directions on GPS and ended up coming up three long flights of stairs to the hotel, fascinating, great views, but a real chore with suitcases. Recommend taking the slightly longer sloping streets to get there.

Location was perfect, center of the old city, close to most of the attractions.
Also very easy to go to St Andrew square (busses station for a lot of tours) or to the station.
Some of the staff were really nice and helpful, some less, so average.
The bed was confortable.
Room was average laking some confort (ex. small kitchen but no table to eat) and laking some facilities (for clothes, ...)
Faucet for bath / shower was defective.
Room service was bad (ex. empty bottle of a product, claimed to the maid who said it will be replaced the next day, after 4 days still the empty one). Missing coffee one day. Cleaning could have been better.
Breakfast has to be taken at the neighbour cafe, it is not a problem but buffet was quite poor for the price. (we found another place 5 min from there really nice, cheaper and with better food.
On weekend night the noise from the pub is terrible ... difficult to sleep
4.5
Breakfast could introduce more fruits and variety of cereals. Tea out off flask not really ideal. Tepid not hot.
Apart from improving the breakfast, quite pleased with everything else.
