Charming hotel with quaint decor. Beautiful old building. Easy to find, flawless check in. Clean. Our room had a lovely window overlooking the street. Close to river, cathedral, market and cafes.
Sound travels between rooms as one would expect in an old building. Stairs may be challenging for people with big luggage or poor mobility.

The location of the hotel was good. . We were only staying one night, in transit, so were not too fussed about the room/facilities. Location was our key priority. This is an old building, with some charming features. I have the feeling some rooms are much better appointed than ours and so you could have had a much better experience staying in a grander en-suite room. We arrived late, so no contact with staff.
We knew that we didn't have ensuite bathroom facilities but the location of the toilet/shower was quite inconvenient and far from our room. There was a basin in our room.

Everything, the look, the space, the silent and not thinking your in a center of city and style got all this wide place.

Lovely owner with cute dog, beautifully decorated building with simple but comfortable rooms.
Bit of a struggle bringing my bag up all the stairs. No wifi in rooms.

Great location and charming place with history. Room with good space and a table and big sink in the room.
Was surprised by the one shared bathroom for a whole corridor, seemed inflexible but it worked out in the end with no problem.

My room was clean, relatively spacious, and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Excellent central location and a short walk from the airport (BIQ) bus stop. A longer walk to/from the train station, but not bad. Breakfast was simple, but fine, though I would have liked more coffee.
2 dogs in reception area (the puppy is adorable and a mooch :) )and friendly proprietors
No elevator. Not a major problem for me, even with luggage, but may be for some. No AC in room so hard to keep cool when unseasonably warm. Difficult to connect to wifi in the room which was painfully slow. Sparse electrical outlets for recharging electronics.

The place
The bed. The floor wasn't leveled and the feet were higher than the head, which made the sleeping unconfortable

EXCELENT LOCATION, THE ROOM IS NICE BUT THE PILLOW WAS HORRIBLE!
THE PILLOW OF THE BED WERE AWFUL, FLAT.

Very unusual decoration. Location amazing lots of shops and cafes close by. Very quiet and staff lovely. Especially Sophia. Antiques beautiful
Sadly room 14 on top floor and no lift due to style and age of building. Need to be fit!

Location was superb, loved being in the pedestrian part of town. Reception is a one floor walk up. Very friendly staff/owners, very helpful. Breakfast was in the reception room, very fine.
My room had my own toilet and sink with shower down the hall, which worked well. What I didn't like was my window opened onto an indoor space overlooking the interior staircase and including a sitting area under my window. It happened to be a quiet night with few guests, so it wasn't a bother, but it was wierd knowing that any noise I made would be heard in the stairwell.

The location of the hotel, directly in the center of Bayonne is definitely its greatest asset. It was clean and relatively comfortable. It was hot and we had a fan available. The bathroom despite not being of the latest standard was also clean and functional. The style of the room was old-fashioned in a funny way.
Our window wasn't giving on the facade of the building but on a corridor. This is not ideal for intimacy, should you wish to keep your window open, especially when it's hot in the Summer.
