The Pension Zur Krone had promising web site with pictures of a charming inn.
Everything else was a bad experince.
- dishonest land lady
- dirty bed linnen
- no restaurant
- no apoligies or compensation of any kind
When arriving we where met by the land lady in a very dirty T-shirt. We were not shown into the old inn, but to another building across the road.
There were newly built rooms which were fine - the interior decoration not like a normal German Gasthoff. We believe we were the only guests that day, so we felt as if we were intruders of this family run business.
The land lady asked if we wanted dinner - but we were told that the restaurant was not open, so they could only serve bread and cold sausage.
We asked if there were any possilibities of eating elsewhere in the town and was told that there was not! So we accepted the bread & sausage.
After dinner we went for a walk in the town and found another Gasthof just 500 meters away. A very nice place and they did serve hot meals.
When back in our room at Pension Zur Krone, we removed the bedcover and found the sheets full of white stains/spots. We called for the land lady and when she saw the stains/spots she kept repeating: it did not go away during wash!!! she replaced one sheet - not on both beds and not the covers/pillow covers and then went away. After this incident we packed our bags and called the other Gasthof in the town, who did have available room for us.
Upon checking out we had not yet received any apologies for the dirty beds, and we were charged full Price for the room!!
The land lady did not understand it when we Said that we were not feeling comfortable with staying the night.

It is a nice place, quite informal. The staff is friendly and helpful. The place has also a restaurant with quite decent food, so no issues with trying to find something else (it is a very little town with few restaurants available). The room was very clean and functional.
The place was listed as "wheelchair accessible" and this was not quite true. The room was only accessible with a few steps, and the bathroom was rather narrow. This was good enough for us, but it could be an issue for someone a bit more relying on the wheelchair. Fair enough - the owner called us in advance to warn us that there were a few steps, so we knew and we were OK with it. But I find the listing as "wheelchair accessible" to be a bit misleading.

Lovely family owned hotel with lots of heart and charm. Remodeled with great attention to detail. Helpful and competent staff.

The owners were very nice and friendly. They worked hard to take care of us. The breakfast spread was very good.
Room rate was a bit high considering that it was a small town.

Very clean, very fresh.
We had to wait a bit for the reception.
