Miss the well stocked mini bars and fridges

Breakfast was good. Staff friendly.
We were there for a wedding, but if not, then as a normal guest, there would have been no where to go to avoid it .

Great location, comfortable bar and restaurant areas. Friendly staff
Room was cold and couldn't work AC. Should have asked reception but was late.
Having to pay for parking

All good
The reception staff. Knew I had been overcharged but they refused to give me an invoice. Said we would get one later, so had to pay first then ring for a bill later when nothing arrived. Got told they didn’t know how to email an invoice. Later in day they sent some till receipts and agreed the bill was wrong but a manager had to agree it because I wanted an itemised bill before I agreed what they said. Manager didn’t ring, had to chase, then when I did speak to her she went back on what her colleague had said and the bill was right. Couldn’t believe it. Asked to speak to someone who knew what they were doing and she hung up. Had to go to head office, got told to email a feedback email address. Someone then rang, pretty pissed off with me for complaining but agreed I was due a refund and reception needed retraining, no apology despite two days chasing them. Unpleasant experience which let down the place and the good staff in the bar and restaurant

Why serve granola with yoghurt and fruit in small narrow-necked jars?
Had to ask for cheese and meats offer as not presented on buffet table.
Cooked breakfast offerings good.
One of the rooms booked was very cold. Heating could not be adjusted. Informed reception staff but had to be reminded several times before heaters were brought.
Two light bulbs not functioning in the other room.
4.2
Beautiful historical house.
Beds were very comfortable.
Room stylish
Location perfect
Staff friendly
Good bar food on Friday evening
Lovely terrace outside
Unpleasant smell outside the room in corridor and also slightly in room.
Hot breakfast wasn’t great (avocado on toast: toast extremely soggy, tomatoes hard and too much raw onion. And French toast with berries (not fresh but frozen it seemed, watery and dark in colour) with granola just a mass of food on plate and slow service. So not great.

The best vegan fried breakfast I've had in a long time, in a beautiful location.
4.2
Probably the best Hotel We have ever stayed in. We have travelled to the USA, Europe and the UK.
Can't really think of anything, maybe more Parking spaces.

The staff were so friendly. The breakfast and dinner package were great value and excellent dishes. Our little dog was welcomed in the hotel too.
4.2
• comfortable traditional hotel with some contemporary quirky details
• good breakfast choices, including vegetarian and vegan options
• superb staff member at breakfast (James) who was super helpful and kept a selection of my favourite teabags for me
• excellent location, close to the key for boat trips, and in the middle of the old town...that was rescued from the bombing in the Second World War
• possibly too many stairs for some people, so be careful which room you book, as it was 45 stairs from breakfast to my bedroom! This was good for me and gave me more exercise so I was okay.
4.2
staff were great as always
extremely limited parking so I picked up 3 parking tickets so I would say as a business that continues to invest in making it comfortable for its guests the parking situation should get some much needed investment
4.2
we like the period appearance of the property which extends throughout. Very good location close to the quay and it’s attractions. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable.
the car park is very small so we parked on the nearby Quayside car park where there is a charge.
4.2
Location and meals
The bedroom was far too hot overnight for the time of year, primarily because it was not possible to turn off the very hot towel rail in the bathroom, which overheated the whole bedroom too. This wastes energy and reduces the enjoyment of the stay, which was otherwise good.
4.2
nice professional staff, immaculate room and all of hotel, good sized room, property close to harbour, very good breakfast with lots of choices , quiet and peaceful
had to park outside on double yellow lines to unload luggage but it was a quiet side street, limited parking at hotel but ok car park nearby, building is a strange maize with lots of stairs. This is not a problem once you got your bearings. Not a problem for us.
4.2
The rooms recently had a fresh lick of paint, so felt nice and clean. They're also aesthetically pleasing and comfortable overall.
The staff was friendly and pleasant.
A very decent stay at a reasonable price.
* No robe provided
* No loo brush (always a WTF moment)
* Parking isn't the best, especially since you have to pay for it: very limited, narrow spaces, no guarantee of a space and no option of pre-booking. (But to be fair, a large parking lot is available a two-minute walk away.)
* Breakfast was a bit sad
* Dinner was ok (the restaurant is supposed to be focused on French food, but if you have any knowledge of the cuisine or, god forbid, are French, you will likely be disappointed)

The property is beautiful and the location excellent!
The breakfast options could have been a bit better with more fruit and vegetables.
