Alles was verouderd.

nothing
With the off season I expected the quiet time but this facility was old, damp and mosquito infected.
No evening entertainment. No activity that can be accomplished due to no attempt was made to reduce mosquitoes.
They could have sprayed the area or try burning tekkie lamps or try planting more plants to detour mosquitoes.
The dining hall was dark and not inviting and the food was not good.
There is zip line but you cant stand outside long enough due to the mosquito and all the equipment smelled really used and old.

Wonderful location inside the national park. The property does not have it's own trails, but the park trails and waterfalls are well worth the trip.
The property was very disappointing. The accommodations are built without thought of air flow and since they do not have a/c, they are very hot and uncomfortable. This is a primitive lodge in the jungle, it has very minimal amenities and not exactly a "resort".

The food was excellent. The location was good as we went for walks into the waterfalls and birdwatching.
Rooms were small. Bathroom the same. When reviewing this resort, I thought we would get the suites as those in the pictures, especially for the price per night. It was a bit of a shock when we were led to small old rooms.

Some parts of the complex were quite smart, and the shuttle service to and from Dangriga worked efficiently.
Value for money was extremely poor, with prices at least double anywhere else we stayed. The meal service was a fixed price for little choice and 2 courses, whether you wanted them or not. The room was quite spartan, with a desk but no chair to sit on. The bathroom was a deathtrap, with marble steps to the toilet and the shower, which I fell over but fortunately did not seriously injure myself. The shower controls were obscure, with no notice telling you how to operate them. The point of going there for us was to follow hiking trails, but some were mislabelled as 'easy' when they were quite difficult. To get to the trails youhad to hike along a churned up muddy road. Not a good experience.

The staff couldn’t have been more friend,y and informative. The grounds were lush, inviting, and filled with birds. The proximity to hiking trails in the National Park jungle was great and the food was exceptional.
An additional picnic table near the dining area fo4 sitting outside would be nice.

in the heart of the Bocawini rainforest. the grounds are immaculately kept. lots of birds too.
staff are very friendly and helpful.
fabulous packed lunches and delicious breakfast with home made banana bread.
bar snacks in the evening.
the showers are cold. the only choice for supper was a 30 USD buffet and if you don’t feel a lot it is not good value

The location and room are beautiful and the food is really good.
The staff is really pushing for you to choose activities. Also they offer everything in USD instead of Belizian dollar which also makes the prices really high. The taxi transfer is expensive and the dinner as well, there was only a buffet option for dinner but we were not informed about this.

This place was amazing. Incredible customer service, beautiful grounds with excellent hiking. The zip lining was so fun, the morning bird watching lovely, and we thought the hikes to Antelope and Bocawina Falls were beautiful.

The surroundings are beautiful. Great hikes, fantastic waterfalls and refreshing swims at the waterfalls. We also went ziplining with our 9 and 10 yr old and they loved it!
Despite the steep prices we decided to book here for 2 nights since reviews were raving. Many small annoyances made that Bocawina did not live up to the promisses.
It started with booking the room, where it wasn't allowed to book one room with two double beds for our family and we were forced to book two rooms.
Upon arriving we understood that a meal would cost 30 US pp. Since our kids are not the easiest with eating and usually share one meal and still leave half, we asked if we could get a special price. Initially we were offered a 50 US pp meal plan for breakfast, lunch and dinner. After a bit more explanation we were offered a fair deal of4 meal plans for the price of 3.
The food was served buffet style. Nothing fancy, but certainly tastefull. Rather often the kitchen would run out of things. One morning there was no bread. Fine for me and my wife, but my kids ended up eating nothing but some melon. During lunch my daughther was dissapointed that the pizza from the menu was not available. Again, this can happen, but tell this to your guests when handing them the menu. Also soft drinks would be available one day and not the next.
The second night I got struck by a stomage flue. When I told my wife next morning, she told me that she had overheard some other guests at reception who's kids also got sick. This guy mentioned that they had eaten the hamburger amongst others. Since I had also eaten the burgen as the onlyone in my family, we figured it could be helpful to inform the kitchen. When we went there we got a shrug, and a "ok'. No Thank you, no sorry. Hopefully for other guests they took the message seriously.
They day of arrival we had asked for a transfer to the bus stop. Reception said the bus to Punta Gorda would leave at 1030 and they could drop us off at the main road at 1000, leacing 945. Perfect. When checking out there was no transportation. Reception blamed us for not having confirmed it? What was there to confirm?

The location is amazing right in the middle of the rainforest! There are a lot of trails well marked for hiking to beautiful waterfalls! The staff is very friendly!
Be aware there is no A/C in the rooms! They are offering breakfast lunch and dinner, but the prices are charged in US dollars with taxes and service charges. We rented a car and go elsewhere to eat. The food isn’t expensive in Belize, but here it was more than double. Everywhere else prices are in BZE dollars except here and they charge your card in US dollars with no credit card receipt? We found this really weird. We had dinner once and the food is ok, but not great.
Bug spray is a MUST!

I had had been so excited to stay here but was really underwhelmed. The staff was very friendly. The grounds were well kept. The location was nice. We had a fun time zip lining. Not much to do other than zipline, hike and bird watch. The place could use a pool. The food is good but there is only one restaurant for miles. 3 days was too long.
We stayed in a Mayan room. The room was dingy. The bathroom was awful. The grout was black. The sink only had cold water working. The shower came out like a trickle of water. The room felt like a shoddy summer camp for 12 year olds. It was depressing.

Staff were fantastic and really aimed to be helpful! And waking up right next to the trails was a fantastic way to beat the heat. Also, this area is fairly isolated, I had the waterfalls all to myself until about noon! Hotel restaurant was excellent, albeit quite pricey.
Not very good value for the money you spend (room plus at least $50 USD a day for food). I've stayed at much nicer ecolodges for the price and this isn't your relax in nature sort of place. Rooms were like a cheap hotel with uncomfortable beds, not really what I was expecting from the photos on their website or other places I've been.

The location is perfect The staff are amazing. Javier and Kayla are great at the restaurant and shout out to Presley . I left my laptop Behind and he went above and beyond to get It to us a Across the country. The very next day awesome that's all I can say awesome.

The surroundings and staff are amazing. The Waterfalls, nature hikes, manicured grounds, fruit trees, flowers, birds, critters! The park is well worth a stay. We booked a junior suite and it was huge and well appointed. Other accommodations on-site were smaller and more rustic so I'm really glad we had a king bed.
There is only one source of food, the on-site restaurant. The lunch menu is great and feels like good value. The breakfasts and dinners are severely overpriced for what you get in presentation and quality. All items at all meals are the same price, with taxes and service fees it is $64 per day without beverages.

absolutely beautiful property and amazing remote location. friendly staff and plenty of activities offered.
There are a few activities I assumed would be included in our stay based on the website. I accept responsibility, as I’m sure I should have read more closely. but I wish there had been a bit more communication upfront. that said, even the “surprise” charges were reasonable and worthwhile.

beautiful location in the jungle, next to hikes and swimming hole
flower-filled property
less buggy than expected
staff all very nice
little sound privacy between accommodation and restaurant
restaurant has limited hours/options. worth calling if you have dietary needs, and ordering ahead if you’re in a time crunch

We had a wonderful stay at bocawina. It was so lovely, the staff was so kind, the food was delicious and it was so peaceful and well kept. We would recommend staying here for sure!

This is a beautiful location in the middle of the rainforest. The garden area was magical to wake up to everyday. The food menu was excellent! The food and drinks were our second favorite part.
A small refrigerator in the room would have been nice.

The grounds are stunningly beautiful and everything was so clean. The staff were always kind and accommodating.
The rooms didn’t have AC which we knew going in but in the past when we’ve not had AC, there is a nice breeze so it’s fine. We were in the Mayan room and it never cooled down or had a breeze despite 3 fans.
Also we didn’t have a car so had to eat at the restaurant. The food choices were lacking and over priced. The staff did their very best to accommodate us though and I really really appreciated that.

This place is a true hidden gem! We stayed 3 nights and truly felt part of the family. The staff were phenomenal and went out of their way to add to your experience. From Ken at the front desk, the owners Don and his wife, the manager Presley, gardeners and restaurant staff there was an abundance of they call “jungle love”. The Antelope Suite was lovey, sleeping with the windows open listening to the sounds of the rainforest was so relaxing.
This resort stands out because all the staff love working there and it shows in their daily smiles and interactions. My teenage kids and I took many tours arranged by the staff including Antelope falls rappelling and zip line with Roberto and Milton, night hike with George, Mayan Ruins/cave tubing with George and Milton. The staff were so knowledgeable, fun and experienced, we came away full of new facts and tried many local fruits and nuts.
The property is beautiful, immaculate gardens with guinea hens, fruit trees everywhere, hammocks, swings and 2 tire zip line that gave my kids hours of laughs. The howler monkeys were loud, the birds sang all day and the fireflies lit up the grass at night, truly an amazing experience!
We left Ambergris Caye 4 days early so we could return to the rainforest for 3 extra nights the staff helped arrange for us to come back, it was like we were returning home.
Thank you to all the staff at Bocawina Rainforest Resort, we are still talking about our trip and highly recommend you to everyone, we will return!
Absolutely nothing, we thought that we were going to Belize to spend most of our time at the beach but instead we fell in love with the rainforest!

The property is located on a beautiful park with gorgeous plants and trees. The breakfast was great and staff was friendly.
The room I booked did not look anything like the photos on Booking.com. It was tiny and the windows did not close which made us pretty nervous since we were traveling with our 2 year old son.
