The breakfast.
Horrible soundproofing in the rooms, having a great impact on the quality of one's rest. You can not just hear all the pluming and the outside traffic, but also a small talk between the people on the other rooms.
For the amount paid it was also expected to get a wider bathroom and a better equiped room.

breakfast is very good and organised
very noisy room, heard the cars passing by all night,
very uncomfortable! the shower was also bad!

It's easy to find along the highway pretty close to the town Cangas de Onís, which is a popular tourist destination and can get quite crowded in the summer, so I liked being close enough to visit easily without having to pay the higher prices and deal with parking and traffic in town. Parking on site was easy, there is a nice view of the river, and there is also an easy walking trail you can take on the far side of the river that is a scenic 30-minute walk to the town, or you can walk along the highway if you want to get there faster. The buffet breakfast in the hotel was really good, it had lots of options and the staff were quick to restock any food that ran out and clear tables to prepare them for the next guests. There were a few tables outside on the terrace, it was really pleasant to eat out there in the fresh air.
The room was very basic and poorly designed, there was a big post right in the middle and the toilet was too close to the sink, I kept bruising myself even though the bathroom is spacious enough that they didn't need to be so close together. The weather was quite humid and there is no air conditioning in the hotel, so it was really stuffy on the second floor and opening the window didn't help much, it affected my sleep. There was also a plug-in air freshener that made the hallway really stink with cheap fragrance, I don't know why they didn't just open the window at the end of the hallway instead.

We appreciated the information from the friendly receptionist about where to eat and how to walk into Cangas town centre. The hotel was old-fashioned but very clean and well presented. The room (triple, 3 single beds)was a good size, with a clean bathroom, and the bed was comfortable enough. We had a lovely view of the river and hills. The next morning, we liked the variety at breakfast, continually topped up by polite, hard working staff. Good food, strong coffee!
It was all good. The water pressure ranged from good to strong - not a problem, but odd. Also, we could hear the family in the next room but again, it wasn't a problem.

accoustics between rooms not good but otherwise a very good hotel

Location, very close to Mirador Del Fitu and Picos de Europa, head to the city for some Asturias food.
Lots of Parking on site as well as fabulous breakfast and perfect lighting at the breakfast area.
Awesome location, with views of hills and nearby rivulets. There was nothing negative to say about El Capitan

Beautiful view of the river from the room. The room was very comfortable and big. It's a good value for money hotel. Breakfast is included and it was good enough. We're pleased by how good the hotel's covid-19 prevention standards. The staff was very friend and helpful.
The only thing we didn't like was the smell of cigarette in the room when we arrived. We open the window and it was much better later.

The river and mountain view was perfect. The beds was so comfy.
Everything else was basic
Due to the lack of having no carpets; and tile-only-floors, If the hotel had more guests, it would've been so very loud. But everything was fine, even though a little basic.
Out bedroom door didn't close without having to slam it shut.
The Wi-Fi was crap

Breakfast, kind staff.
Bad wifi, unusable. Very old building. No air conditioning. Bad ventilation. Noisy rooms.
