Lo barato sale caro (falta de profesionalidad)

La ubicación

En las instalaciones nos encontramos bichos por determinados sitios, tras comunicarlo a Booking recibi un pésimo trato por parte del alojamiento, diciendo que yo era la cucaracha. Es de traca, comportamiento de feriante por parte de quien lo gestione, si no hay quejas todo bien, si tienes un problema, olvidaros de razonar con el propietario. Solo te insulta. Patético el trato, las habitaciones no es que estuviesen mal del todo, pero se ve que lo de los bichos no les ha gustado porque sanidad les inspecciona. Impresentables. Me han pedido que no vuelva nunca por allí, y no pienso hacerlo. Lo barato sale caro, y está claro que las estrellas hablan por si mismas, a menos estrellas, peor trato. A pesar de ello les deseo suerte en su negocio, ya que mi experiencia puede haber sido aislada y puede no volver a repetirse. Aún así los comportamientos a la hora de contestar ha denotado mucha falta de profesionalidad, y más cuando tenias alguna foto. Entiendo que no quieran tener problemas con sanidad, pero desde luego que la forma que tienen de solucionar las cosas no es la correcta. Simplemente nefasta experiencia.

Bonne adresse pour la vieille ville d'Altea

Hostal Fornet est idéalement placé pour profiter de la vieille ville d'Altea. A deux pas des ruelles blanches typiques, si charmantes, (et pleines de restaurants et boutiques, mais qui savent préserver le charme du lieu) qui mènent à la place de l'église. Plusieurs parkings entourent le centre, mais il faut parfois chercher un peu pour se garer (début Juillet). La literie (chambre double, lit king size) est très bonne, le ménage compétent, la clim efficace. Le café resto attenant propose le petit déjeuner et les repas (en supplément).

La salle de bains avec toilette est un peu exiguë, et sa fenêtre ne s'ouvre pas. Pas d'aération directe, donc. La "vue sur mer", tout petit espace de vue entre des immeubles, depuis le balcon, est une plaisanterie. L'indication du site "plage la plus proche à 10 min à pied" est à peu près vraie....en descente. Mais il faut se souvenir qu'Altea tire son nom de sa position en hauteur. Et le dénivelé entre la vieille ville et la mer est de 58m (données Google Maps), soit 21 étages sur 900m...le retour sera plus long. Personnellement, nous avons profité des très belles plages des environs en voiture.

La chica muy atenta, a pesar de que llegamos antes nos preparó la habitación en cuanto pudo!

No me informaron de la azotea para ver las vistas, ya cuando me iba fué que me enteré :(

Overall it was a good choice as location was most important for us.

The location was amazing! Just at the start of the cute old town with shops and restaurants. Free parking nearby as well! Staff was lovely, the room had a cute little balcony :)

The room was a little too basic, small and not enough storage or space for our luggage and stuff. Only 2 electric plugs in a room for 4 people, it was tricky to charge our phones and devices.

Lovely base to explore Altea

Comfortable place, lovely location, great views from the roof, lovely staff.

It was a nice stay.

Comfortable beds, cute balcony, lovely terrace upstairs with a beautiful view. Good price for value.

Not comfortable pillows. A leaking noise came from the toilet, which was a bit annoying at night. On the booking.com page it says, there was breakfast included for 6.5euros. But apparently, the restaurant doesn´t belong to the hotel, it is a separate installation. The breakfast was very nice and we paid approximately 10 euros each.

Short break away

The room was lovely, the walk in shower was excellent and the beds were really comfortable.

There was nothing to dislike but as the rooms were suites we were a bit dissapointed there was no mirror only the bathroom one over the sink. The chairs on the balcony were uncomfortable to sit on for long. Just small criticisms. We have been many times to the hostel and will definitely return

Exceptional

Perfect position at the top of the old town. Plenty free parking just a couple of hundred metres away. Vey clean, spacious though basic room at a very good price. Very nice cafe bar. All staff very friendly, especially Sergio in the cafe bar. We will return.

SCAM , Room is not available but the use your creditcard to steal your money

SCAM. The room was booked and confirmed but arriving the told me its not available. They send me away but they charge my creditcard. Dont trust them!!! Total fraud

So close to the old town of Altea. Really clean and a very large comfy bed.

I was charged twice and can't get the money back

good location. other good qualities are blurred by the negative financial experience

By mistake I made 2 reservations for the same room for the same date. I've noticed within dates allowing free cancelation and I canceled one of the reservations but I was still charged for both. I didn't check my bank account during my trip so I didn't bring up the issue to the stuff during our stay there. Now, 1,5 month later, after few messages and emails and a phone call to booking.com helpdesk I still didn't get my money back. Nor any response. Hence I'm angry and don't recommend this place

Excellent location in Altea touristic centre. The staff at the reception and cleaning services is very friendly. I would recommend to pay a bit extra for one of the rooms with sea view

The room/toilet is a bit small, and the AC temperature cannot be adjusted, despite it is installed individually in the room.

I loved my stay at Fornet

I loved the hostel Fornet. Everyone was friendly. The location was perfect. It's near to all the restaurants and the shops. We also ate one night in the restaurant of the hostel. It was delicious and not expensive at all. It was also super clean. The view is beyond beautiful. I can't wait to go back again. I already miss it so much 😭💖💙. Thank you, gracias por todo.

The only thing which I didn't like that much is that you had to walk up and down to the beach. One night there were some people outside making noise but for the rest you can sleep very well. It's very quiet.

Great value hostal in beautiful Altea

Basic but very comfortable and very well kept and had everything we needed - balcony, decent shower, air-con, reasonably well soundproofed, comfy bed (though a bit squeaky).

All good, except maybe to have some dimmer lighting in addition to what was there as well as more plug sockets for charging phones.
