Close to the beach, casino, dunes and an easy drive to Chicago, Michigan and Notre Dame! Walkable to the South Shore Train stop, just down the street.
Imagine a two-acre Garden of Eden with a vacation home dropped in the middle. Each portion of this property is an outdoor room with its own character. The front "tranquility room" features gardens and waterfalls, with massive sweeping maples, oaks, evergreens and dozens of different perennial varieties. The outdoor "party room" to the east features the 9-person hot tub, fire pit, grill and outdoor shower. The south-facing outdoor "sun room" features chaise lounges and other outdoor seating on a curvilinear and massive deck that looks like a gentle sand dune facing a pine forest. There is a table with seating for 8 for beautiful outdoor dining. The west-facing "game lawn" is perfect for corn hole and other outdoor games.
Inside. With five bedrooms (two of the bedrooms have two sets of bunkbeds each, so there are 8 bunks, two queen beds and a king bed, plus a queen-sized pull-out sofa) and four full bathrooms, as many as 16 (when using pullout sofa) can have a great time over the week or weekend, and all sleep onsite. Sorry, we are no longer allowing weddings, bachelor parties, high school or college groups, and any groups over 16 people (unless several are small children).
Features: Signature deck with outdoor gas grill, 9-person hot tub, outdoor shower and a luxury lower level with its own living area, tv, two bedrooms, three bathrooms, a bar and laundry. Upstairs features a full bathroom with 4'x6' shower with dual shower heads and three bedrooms, brand new and expanded kitchen open to and combined with the dining/four-seasons room with gas fireplace and living room.
The pond and waterfalls make this 2-acre property a retreat for all types of groups.

Spring and fall are my favorite times, but even winter is cozy in this getaway! Less than a mile to the beach, so you can walk, bike or drive. Three bikes are available for guests to use. Additional bike rentals are available during summer just down the street. There are also food trucks in the same location.
What makes this different from most homes in Beverly Shores is the location and lot size. We are close enough to the lake to make it an easy walk, bike or drive, but unlike homes close to the lake, this lot is two acres, which gives you a feeling of privacy while still being able to spread out.
The driveway is large and circular, so can accommodate several cars. The post office parking lot is adjacent and can be used after business hours. The owner also owns the post office building/site.
If you like to eat and don't want to grill all the time on site, The Goblin and the Grocer restaurant is open just two doors down. It is a focal point of post-beach activity or a great place for Bloody Mary's anytime of day! Next door is Dunes Antiques. These are our neighbors and they are great! Go shop and meet them!
Excessive noise, yelling, playing loud music is not tolerated, so if this is your style, you may want to pass on us.

We needed a home large enough to accomodate our entire family, and this place was just right. Beautiful large lawn, fire pit, hottub, and plenty of places for everyone to sleep. The location was a short drive to the beach and grocery stores. Mark was very easy to communicate with, thank you Mark. We had a great time and would return to this area again.

This house was perfect for our girls trip. Plenty of room, huge table we could all sit at, hot tub was nice and hot. Communication with the owner was great. We were easily able to get Ubers into town and back.

We rented this home to celebrate my 40th birthday. The house was perfect. We loved gathering around the inside and outside tables to eat and drink. The hot tub was large and a family favorite. This home was clean and had extra items we didn’t even think we would need. The pictures of the small pond in the front of the property hardly capture how peaceful and beautiful that element is. The home is very close to the Dunes beach and the check in process was super easy. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

The pictures don’t do this place justice. The landscaping and grounds are incredible. You feel like you are in a forest oasis. I stayed with a group of neighbors with toddlers and we all had a blast. We saw wild turkey with babies in the yard, played outside, grilled, and enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. The rooms are not very large but we only used the rooms for sleeping and enjoyed the outside the most. I highly recommend!

My extended family stayed at this wonderful Beverly Shores house for a combined birthday celebration - and everyone had a great time! The kitchen has everything you could need, the number of bathrooms is excellent, and the house has so many different areas for people to hang out (both separately and together). Then the outside areas couldn't be beat - the landscaping is beautiful, the lawn is enormous, the seating areas are great, and everyone loved the huge fire pit and hot tub! Plus the beach is super close.
Mark was a great host, and we would definitely stay again.

The house sits on a beautiful, wooded lot and the outdoor areas are meticulously maintained. The jacuzzi/hot tub wasn't fully functional, but because we didn't try it until the last day we didn't bother asking for it to be fixed. We had lots of fun times around the fire pit. Rooms are smaller than they look in pictures but the beds are comfortable, bathrooms and the kitchen have nice finishes, common areas indoors were on the small side for our group. Owner was very responsive to the 1-2 minor issues we had. Beverly Shores isn't very impressive, but there's very easy access to the Indiana Dunes and it's a short drive to conveniences like grocery stores and other towns that have more to do.

So much space for activities! Beautiful landscaping, clean comfy beds, clean upgraded bathrooms, excellent kitchen space, huge dining table, more than enough patio furniture. Super fun place to stay near the beach! We’ll be back!

We enjoyed our stay at the house. The home was large enough for a our group of 7 adults and 2 children. The kitchen is spacious and was well-equipped. We enjoyed the expansive yard and outdoor seating areas. Mosquitoes were a bit of a problem. Make sure you take repellant and I also had packed three large citronella candles that helped a little. The only other negative was the clothes dryer that only dried on one setting and laundry took a very long time to dry. If you are planning on using the fire pit, you will need to provide your own firewood.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the home in Beverly Shores. The house was great...clean and spacious. The kitchen was very well stocked. The grounds were beautiful, and the home was set back from the road for privacy. I would highly recommend this property, and would stay again. Mark was a gracious host and responded quickly to a couple of questions
that I had. The area provided plenty to do for entertainment and restaurants.

4th of July Girls Weekend
This place was perfect for our group of 14! We all fit comfortably and everyone had a bed to sleep on. This place is perfect for those who want a relaxed weekend. We barely left the house at all and took full advantage of the backyard, hot tub, and fire pit! The outdoor area was so great we spent very little time inside. There was 4 full bathrooms which made it easy for everyone to get ready in a timely manner when we did have activities planned.
Its a short and easy drive from Chicago and I would definitely go back!

A perfect property for a group of around 10-12 adults. Peaceful and private with ample parking and nice proximity to a variety of bars and activities. The property and house were clean and spacious and Mark was super responsive to any and all messages. Thanks for a great weekend!

Family Vacation
We stayed here for our annual family vacation. It was perfect! The house is beautiful and spacious. We had 16 in our group and everyone loved it! The location is 1.4 miles to Lake Michigan with a nice little park on the way to the beach where we played tennis and pickle ball. We were under 5 miles from Michigan City with an outlet mall, some fantastic breweries and A Little Slice of Heaven! The kitchen was well equipped for our morning coffee drinkers and for cooking for our large group. While we ate most of our meals in, we did try the a couple breweries and both wood fired pizza trucks that set up at The Beach Shop only .35 miles away. The deck at the house had seating for all of us and the hot tub and fire pit were used frequently, as was the outdoor shower that kept us from tracking sand into the beautiful home. We will be back! If I could give it 6 stars, I would!

We were a group of 16 celebrating my father in law’s 80th birthday ... this spot was absolutely perfect for such a thing. The house was clean and comfortable - everyone had a place to go hangout when they needed a break from the crowd but the kitchen and dining and outdoor areas were perfect for when we all wanted to be together. The hot tub was a huge hit with my kids and the fire pit was perfect proximity for adults to hang, too, while they “swam” (it’s huge). The backyard & deck are very well kept and it’s a beautiful property! We were even greeted by two deer upon our arrival. The beds were very comfortable and we all had our own bathrooms which was great. Overall, this home and its hosts are very gracious ... I highly recommend you stay here if you’re thinking about it!! Also - we took advantage of the bikes and went to the beach one day - easy, 15 minute ride and very beautiful. Beverly Shores is really quite charming. We will definitely return! Thank you, Mark, for opening up your lovely home - you guys have done an amazing job with it!

Fantastic Property
Driving up the winding drive we were greeted with pines decorated with twinkle lights. Plenty of parking for several cars. House has a great layout for a large group. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms and a full bath. Downstairs there are two en-suite bedrooms with full baths and another full bath with area that has pull out couch. Well appointed kitchen is spacious and had everything we needed to cook several meals. Great large dining area as well. Easily worked for our group of 9. There are two living areas with TVs which gives separate spaces for adults and kids if needed. Beautiful grounds and view. Huge hot tub and nice fire pit area plus grill. I’m sure this property is even better in the summer with the amazing outdoor space. Owner was very responsive too!

Retreat like property great for groups of family or friends
Wonderful property that was well appointed with everything you needed to enjoy inside or outside the home. The rooms were comfortable and all of the bathrooms were well finished. Clean and sanitized property with great outdoor spaces for relaxing. Close to surrounding hiking and other National Park sites. Highly recommended!

Hidden gem!
What a find. We loved this property! The layout of the house is great for a group. We had 12 year olds to 75 year olds on this trip and there was ample space for us all! The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were wonderful. The kitchen was really clean and had wonderful appliances. It was equipped with everything we needed from cooking to serving! We loved the outdoor areas. We gathered when we wanted to and escaped when needed. We used every bit of it. The fire pit was a hit for the kids. A perfect setting for s’mores and to tell stories next the woods. We loved the hot tub after a day at the beach. We used the grille almost every day. Only one side of the grille worked but that is all we needed. We could not figure a few things out so the owner, Mark, was quick to respond and then showed up to be of further assistance the next day! He answered every question we had. He had bikes, beach chairs and towels for us! The washer and dryer was helpful after a day at the beach. The only drawback was the wifi. It was not very strong. When you are in a place like that, who needs wifi, except we were there during the week and some of us were working:( All in all, we cannot wait to go back! Thank for for a fabulous time!

Wonderful weekend at the Dunes!
We rented this property for my 40th bday celebration and had a wonderful time. The house and property are beautiful and spacious, everyone really enjoyed their time. There were many comments from our group that we would absolutely stay at the house for our next visit.

This was a great property to celebrate my 40th bday with friends and family. The hot tub is huge and the deck and interior was perfect for our weekend. There were plenty of towels and cooking supplies to help us feel at home. The dunes are a quick drive away. Great spot in the forest!

Perfect Family Reunion
This was the perfect property for our group of 8, ranging in age from 9 to 93. The house is immaculately kept and modern. We cooked every night in the well-outfitted kitchen, made s’mores in the fire pit, and relaxed on the giant back deck. The owners are fabulous, make the space comfortable, and were instantly responsive for the one small issue we had.
I strongly advise reading all the rules before booking... there are a lot of large groups that won’t be a great fit for this space due to the rules about outdoor noise. It wasn’t any issue at all for us.
Also, be sure to pack heavy-duty bug spray as the home is right on the forest, and the in-home manual suggests hats during the day to ward off large insects that will dive at your head during daylight. Basically, the outdoor space is better after sunset.
Lastly: the grocery options are limited in the immediate area... expect to drive 20 to 40 minutes, depending on how specialized your food needs are.
All in all: for the right group, you won’t find a better large home on VRBO.

Lovely vacation home
Marks home and property is absolutely gorgeous! Beautiful and well kept. Our family of eight adults and seven kids truly enjoyed our time there. We loved using the hot tub and sitting around the fire a couple of evenings. It was just a short drive to the beach. We had a wonderful family vacation.

Great place to relax in the yard!
Mark’s place was outstanding and I can’t stress how great of a host Mark was during our stay. He was available by phone for a couple of questions we had. The place is amazing and the yard beautiful. I 100% recommend this house!

Excellent house, great location
Planned a weekend getaway with the guys and this house truly made the trip. It is located nearby most activities we were interested in (golf, casino, boating, etc.) and provided the perfect setup while hanging out and unwinding. There is nice backyard/deck with a grill, hot tub, and fire pit. Overall, it's a great place to stay.

Beautiful house, nice location, lots of rules
This house worked great for our group. We enjoyed the outdoor amenities like the hottub and firepit. Mark was quick to respond to any questions that I asked and was able to reset the code remotely when the door wasn't opening. The grill hadn't been cleaned so that caused some issues for our first meal. There were a lot of rules and it seemed a bit excessive, but we still enjoyed ourselves. Also the layout of the kitchen makes it difficult for a group to cook together, but all in all it was well stocked. Great location for walking to the dunes, Century of Progress homes, taking the train or going into town
