Wonderful ancient townhouse -Unique comfortable and memorable

Phillippe is a wonderful host bringing great care and attention to everything to create a truly unique stay. He collected us from the airport . Incredible breakfast Large comfy bed. Beautiful flower garden under the cliffs and beside the river . All local produce to local artist work hanging on the walls

Excellent

Only a few rooms and very well done with excellent fittings etc. and the garden was very pretty. There was enormous attention to detail and a delicious and thoughtful breakfast.

It was a bit of a hike up to the centre of the city.

Philippe was so welcoming & attentive, nothing was too much trouble. The facilities are exceptional, every small detail has been thought of. The breakfast was absolutely gorgeous, all homemade & delicious...we loved our stay so much, we have immediately booked again...a hidden treasure for sure.

I’d book at the same place again if to return in Poitiers for work or leisure

The breakfast was outstanding, fresh and most of it homemade by the host. Located in a very quiet street 10min walk from the lively town centre

A fascinating house with a wonderful breakfast and delightful host.

The house was beautifully converted and the host was absolutely charming, and spoke excellent English. The breakfast was amazing, all served in their fascinating garden. We were able to walk from there into the centre of Poitiers (a bit of a climb but worth it) and we were given good recommendations for places for dinner. We would definitely recommend staying here.

The only problem was that our room was in the eves of the house and as I am pretty tall it was difficult to stand in a lot of the room. However it was extremely comfortable with a nice en suite bathroom and a nice big shower. The house number is wrong on your site - it is 177 and not 117.

Extraordinary stay just over the river from Poitiers

Phillippe and I corresponded by email prior to our arrival, so I had the information I needed to plan a good stay. The house and its presentation far exceeded my expectations. The details of order and beauty greatly increased my comfort in staying there. Phillippe gave us very detailed information, from how to explore Poitiers to the exact ingredients in his lovely small dishes of breakfast goodies. His love of gardening and preparing beautiful foods matches his eye for design throughout the house.

Nothing. I now wish to return to Poitiers and Clos des Moulins.

True hospitality - a perfect short stay in fascinating Poitiers.

The property was carefully and tastefully curated to give guests a positive and restful stay. The breakfast was delicious and was beautifully presented. Philippe, the host was welcoming and generous - even offered to do a load of washing for the weary travellers. The location on the riverside was ideal. The garden a delight.

I could not fault this property.

Relaxing stay and 1st Class hosting like saying

We loved everything about this lovely hotel and the hosts .A beautiful tasteful space and stunning gardens with the historical dwelling caves at the back of which Phillpe provided a first class tour ..it’s a special place and we were sorry to leave

A perfect place to stay with the family and to visit the nice city center of Poitiers.

Amazingly beautiful and excellent breakfast with self-made products (e.g. jams). The tenant was very friendly and made us a nice little tour in his garden and the caves that are located behind the house.

Exceptional

Incredible breakfast and Philllipe cares about every detail. He speaks great English. For us, one of the main highlights was arriving to a parking space and electric charger which he set up in moments.

Charming and hospitable stay

Perfect location for walk into the historic centre, clean and extremely comfortable bed. Delicious homemade breakfast prepared by the owner. Parking space provided. Beautiful garden and facilities are a high standard.

One of the best experiences ever.

The breakfast is absolutely marvellous: almost all ingredients are home-made, the butter is just incredible as well as the yogurt and the jams. From the window of our room we could see the river which is 30 meters away. The B&B is few hundreds meters away from the Notre Dame le Grand, the city center. The owner of the B&B serves you personally, he is incredibly well informed and nice. The room was really clean. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Everything was perfect. We have absolutely no compliant or anything to have bothered us.

A comfortable and chic chambre d'hotes..a little gem near the centre of Poitiers.

The breakfast was exceptional. There was huge attention to detail. The products were sourced locally and of high quality. The host explained each of the items on offer and was justifiably proud of them The presentation was exquisite.

A mirror in the bedroom would have been helpful.

Amazing stay in beautiful house with exquisite breakfast!

Lovely, modern rooms in a beautiful and Immaculate house. The bed was very comfortable and the guest facilities are excellent. The amazing garden backing on to cliffs made a wonderful setting, and the exquisite, homemade breakfasts an absolute delight! I travelled by train and so walked into the centre to explore, probably more than a kilometre, but I really enjoyed the walks and the sights by the river and in the town. Philippe's recommendations for places of interest and restaurants were perfect and much appreciated! I thoroughly recommend and would love to return one day.

Very eco friendly hotel. Phillipe was an amazing host with great local information and knowledge Breakfast was all home made and Phillipe explained with passion all the items. Close to walk to the centre with secure gated parking.

The hotel is a tranquil and relaxing eco-friendly environment close to the city centre, with an emphasis on quality and sustainability. Our room was spacious and airy, with tasteful modern furniture. The breakfast was a revelation – all local products, super tasty and beautifully presented. A lovely place from which to explore Poitiers.
