So many beautiful places to sit and relax but so little time! Lovely eclectic place inside and out. Convenient walking distance to the local grocery store and many restaurants. Thanks for sharing this little gem with everyone Jack!

We feel so lucky to have stumbled upon the Historic Rose Cottage! Only minutes away from the Zion entrance, it also made the perfect home base to take day trips to Bryce Canyon and Kanab. Everything was exactly as pictured…better even, as the photos just don’t do the two patio areas justice! Jack was a wonderful host and very easy to communicate with, offering great suggestions for the area. If we ever find ourselves back in the area-and I feel that’s highly likely-we will definitely book the Cottage again!

Couldn’t have asked for a better location for my mother-son trip! House was beautiful and exactly like the photos. We never took the Springdale shuttle but instead walked the mile and a half to the entrance of Zion. Walking back every day after hiking, we stopped at a place to eat or shop. Very quiet and relaxing.

The house was as advertised! It’s a very nice house about 1/2 block from shuttle bus stop. When you came back tired from Zion it’s nice that it’s only a short walk to the house. Deer sometimes come into back yard at dusks bonus! You can relax on back deck and enjoy the gorgeous view of the area!

We were pleasantly surprised with the updated decor. Indoor and out door are quite eclectic, which suited us. We loved to be able to enjoy the fantastic view on the upper patio until sunset and chat through the night on the lower patio. My parents were mid 80s and this was suitable for them as well.

We stayed in the Rose Cottage for two nights in April 2023, and it was perfect for the 3 of us, if not a little cozy. The place was clean, the kitchen well-equipped to cook meals, the beds comfortable, and the patio a perfect space to unwind after a day of hiking. On top of all of that, Jack was especially helpful in brainstorming locations that would be good for night sky photography with us, which is a passion of a couple of people in our group. Jack was incredibly friendly, and a wonderful host. We would happily stay in his cottage again if it's available!

Built in 1935, this home has been added onto to make it very cozy. Jack, the host, is very responsive to questions. He also has decorated the inside with original paintings he painted! Outback, up the hill, there are four chairs and two tables where you can sit and enjoy your favorite beverage looking at the watchmen! We called it our party zone! Little tip – it’s best to back up the driveway from the street so just drive up the street, make sure there’s no other traffic coming and go ahead and back in - there’s room for two cars. We did drive by it three times before we found it. The sign is kind of hidden in the the bushes. It’s right next to a street light though!

This cottage is an excellent choice for visiting Zion National Park. It’s a short driving distance to the Zion entrance (off season) and close to a shuttle stop (on season). Shuttles weren’t running on our visit so a short drive to the Zion visitor’s center, scenic drive and many iconic trails. Cottage is within easy walking distance to Springdale restaurants, shops and grocery store. The cottage itself is very clean, cozy and comfortable with an abundance of outdoor spaces with views. Jack is an excellent host-informative & answers questions quickly.

Simply Outstanding!
There are just some places that have to be visited to be believed. Zion National Park is one of them. Most every national park is beautiful and you go to them and see them. Zion is different. You go there and you are in the park. You are a part of it. You are immersed in it’s beauty. And at the end of each day that feeling of immersion when of hiking, climbing or biking through Zion’s beauty didn’t end when we returned to the Historic Rose Cottage. Instead it was enhanced as we thumbed through our photos and recalled the events of the day from the sanctuary of the backyard and it’s view of The Watchman at sunset.
The cottage is cozy. It’s clean. Great decoration. It has all things you need to enjoy that feeling of being at home. Best of all it’s location is perfect and Jack is a great host and a very nice guy.
We just got home yesterday and already want to go back!

Charming cottage, great location near Zion NP
Cute, well furnished and comfortable cottage about 1.4 miles from the entrance to Zion National Park. Although right on the main drag, it feels secluded (once the traffic dies down). Communication with owner was superb, who sent useful information far in advance of our stay about the park and suggestions for activities requiring reservations. Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds. Kitchen was well-furnished for self catering, although the cabinets were so full of dinnerware there was little room to store our own provisions. Nice private outdoor seating areas including an elevated area with wonderful sundown views of the bluffs across the valley. Walking distance from Springdale shuttle stop (although not operating while we were there). Although pricey compared with other options in the area, you get what you pay for. We'd stay again in future.

Family trip to Zion
This is a wonderful little house very close to the entrance to Zion. It is cozy and comfortable and perfect to relax after a day of exploring. The full kitchen and living areas are a nice reprieve from hotel living. It is walking distance to all the restaurants and grocery store. I would absolutely stay here again if we visit Zion and will recommend it to friends!!

Adorable space
Such a simple booking, with clear and brief check in/checkout details, very nice and communicative host, very close to the park entrance with everything you need in walking distance, but the best part…. The backyard space and patio. Loved it. Would live there. Cozy and small with a well functioning kitchen that is ideal for a couple or pair of couples, a few friends, or (in my case) a mom with two kids. Springdale is cute as can be. Was there just before tourist season was in full swing. If you come during the busy season, research shuttles and park accessibility with your own vehicles
