A relaxing break, felt very spoilt by all the extras which was lovely.

Great breakfast. Lovely cake & biscuits & fresh milk for tea. Generous towels and dressing gowns. The room was a really good size. Helpful, friendly host.

The shops were shut most of the time we were there (beginning of the week).

A very enjoyable stay made so by the friendliness and positive attitude of the owner.

Very good quality food of which the granola, bread, marmalade and jams were homemade. What stood out was the helpful and welcoming disposition of our hostess who was also good fun. At last, I’ve found a B and B in the area to which I’ll return. What will linger in the memory is the clunk as the bedroom door was shut - steel panelled as you’d expect from a former bank.

Not a lot. It would be difficult to insert a bath in the room I occupied, indeed by doing so the symmetry of the room would be seriously compromised, but baths are I referred to showers by some of us.

Beautiful B&B in a beautiful little spot of English countryside.

Gorgeous little place, very friendly and accommodating staff. The lemon drizzle cake left in the room was a delicious extra touch!

A pleasant place to say in a lovely village.

Location is excellent-right in the middle if Bishop’s Castle, ‘though parking can be an issue of the property’s parking is full. Bed was very comfortable.

As there is no double glazing it was rather noisy in the late evening, but it was a Saturday night so not surprising and we were prepared for that.

A lovely and luxurious experience.

Gerry was an excellent host and couldn’t have done more to make us feel at home. The house is beautifully decorated and everything , the bedding, towels, crockery, the food(homemade cake in the room) are all top quality. We were particularly lucky to be there when there was a very interesting musical evening as part of the arts festival. My only comment is that the chairs in the bedroom were all too low for me however in keeping with the decor. I’m sure I could have asked for a suitable chair but didn’t think to. We will definitely return to Bank House. Penny and Philip.

A very good, relaxing break in very pleasant accommodation and surroundings, an excellent hostess.

Gerry was an excellent hostess, thoughtful, generous and kind and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was welcoming and the accommodation and facilities were very good. Breakfast was excellent and substantial, we did not eat again until late evening. We would thoroughly recommend a stay at this hotel.

Great short break.

We had a lovely stay here over a few days. The B&B is ideally situated in the town and has good parking. Service was excellent and breakfast was really nice. There are some good pubs close by providing good quality meals.

Everything was to our liking.
