Excellent views (we had a room facing the lake). A mini fridge and a kettle would be a plus but we managed without:). Breakfast was very good (I read some complaints, but for me it was perfect, it had some savoury options and more sweet, excellent coffee, home-made cakes...). Twice we had dinner, which I highly recommend. The best of all is the staff, so kind, very competent, quick and welcoming. The location itself is perfect, our room looked on the main road but with windows closed the noise didn't bother us. You are five minutes on foot from the centre, even less from the beach with a bar. Lago Maggiore is a gem and we would gladly return.

No tea or coffee making facility or refrigerator in the room.

Good location, close to lake and ferry service
Noisy at night with people drinking on terrace. Large tour groups staying which also made it noisy

Beautiful view of the lake from the balcony, comfortable stay overall. Walking distance to Baveno where you can directly take boats to visit the islands. Don't miss the park just opposite where you have beach / lake access.
Only limited parking spaces in front of the hotel, air conditioning is not during the day and we felt it difficult also during the night to really cool down. Unfortunately no fridge in the room.

A softer pillow - but that is just personal choice.

A highly efficient and very friendly hotel, where nothing is too much trouble. The owner Renzo and his outstanding staff provide a high level of efficient and caring service. The breakfast is good and the dinners are excellent, superb value, interesting menus and well cooked by a talented chef. All of the staff were excellent., so I'll avoid naming as it would basically be a nominal roll of all the staff! Staying for five nights and choosing to eat in the hotel restaurant every night (which we have never done before), gave us a chance to get to know the staff and chat away with them; it was nice that they made the time to chat with us and the whole experience was unforgettable. The price of the food and drinks in the hotel was really very good and was a nice change, as prices are often hiked in hotels. we were allocated a parking space in a secure car park close to the hotel, which was very useful.
That we had to leave and come back home!!

The hotel has a warm and and welcoming man. The staff in the dining room complied with every request. Large room with a lovely view of the lake. The hotel is clean and so are the rooms. The hotel has a good beach and bar near the lake. You should sit during the aperitif, for the price of the drink you also get delicious snacks
There is no refrigerator in the room. In the bathroom there is no curtain for the tub which is very disturbing. A dispenser for soap and shampoo is better than small bags.

The owner was very welcoming and helpful. He went out of his way to ensure that we had everything we needed and more. Every member of staff was the same - very helpful and delightful. Situated with a view over the lake and with easy access to the lake- just perfect. We had a room with a balcony which over looked the lake. Lovely to sit there in the evening and watch the world go by.

The staff is very friendly and personable - everybody from the people at the reception to the cleaning people , to the dining room people . Short walk to restaurants , beach, boat rides. A grocery store just at the corner.
And the views are unbeatable
The terrace is only for the bar. The restaurant has no terrace.

The hotel is good value for money. Rooms are simple, but the price is good compared to other hotels around. We also liked the hotel restaurant, again nothing fancy, but simple home-style cooked food for a good price (25 eur for a full menu, excl. drinks). All the staff in the hotel were extremely kind, we felt very welcomed.
Breakfast service ends too early - 9.30, so we didn't try it. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs, as there is some noise from people passing in the corridor etc. But this seems to be a problem in all hotels around the lake, even in the more expensive ones.
