It’s a lovely setting with plenty of very comfortable outdoor seating. The bedroom was a good size with comfortable beds.
We’d arrived after a long drive and even though the kitchen was nearly closed they still served us up a lovely dining. Breakfast was delicious too with plenty of choice.
My only minor issue was that there were no sockets near the bedside table so you couldn’t charge your devices close to you.
4.2
Beautifully presented, comfortable room which exceeded my expectations.
The service was a bit brusque and slow at times. Didn’t like the table we were given for dinner. Stuck on the end in a draught. The duvet was too hot.

Staff was 100% fabulous.
Food was excellent.
The room was lovely clean and stylish with a huge bath! and fabulous good quality tea & coffee.
The Room was hot and stuffy - there is a electric fan in the room and you can open the windows but it really does need air conditioning.
4.2
It was OK for an over night stay.
Price of a glass of wine.

Staff were all fabulous, very friendly and efficient. Our room was very clean and well presented and beds were really comfortable.
Only a minor thing, but only one bath towel in a room for 2

Good size room and bathroom. Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff.
No air conditioning only electric fan in room. Evening menu choice a little limited
4.2
Lovely building and grounds
Pricing of accomodation and food a bit high

Room nicely furnished and good bathroom
Having booked a quiet room more than disappointed to be next to door to carpark which started being used from 6.30
a.m’. Our bedroom door shook everytime. A simple draught strip
from B and Q would have stopped this.
After a late night, finally gave up by 8 as frequency of door clanging shut on the stairs became too much.
At breakfast a quick sweep of the previous nights crisps and breadcrumbs would have been good.
Seems a question of staff training as my order of a cafetaire of coffee (on the menu) got a blank look.

The room was really good, well equipped with very comfortable big bed. The vegetarian breakfast was outstanding as was the evening meal we had. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A great place to sleep and eat!

lovely outdoor areas and very efficient , friendly staff especially at busy times
Room 6 next to the main staircase entrance door - a very heavy door which closed quickly and was very loud - builders drilling into wall just below the room one morning

nothing

Friendly Staff, nice surroundings.
Thought the full English breakfast was over priced, and over cooked. My wife's eggs benidict was fine.

Pub was closed for refurbishment and no rooms available

The food was of a high standard and the place was buzzing on a Saturday night. It is dog friendly which is always a nice extra as we are dog lovers and the staff were efficient.
It was impossible to turn the heat down in our room so we had to leave windows open. The breakfast menu did not state that the avocado would be dressed with chilli flakes. It should not be assumed that everyone is keen on chilli - especially so if one is allergic to it.

Loved the decor, very pretty outside space with fairy lights and plants, our room was lovely, large comfy double bed, windows opened onto the garden, very hard working and conscientious staff too - they didn’t stop!

We arrived in what was a busy Sunday lunch service. The outdoor facilities provided a pleasant eating environment and as residents were afforded polite and efficient service during our stay. The food was very welcome and the number of constant takers underlines both the quality and value.
It would have been nice if some complimentary soap/ shampoo were available together with more tea and coffee sachets in the room.
