The room is super, clean and nice, it was a great value for the money spent. But the hotel is on the 4th floor and there was no light in the entrance lobby, which would be enough for somebody to have to run back, because is lonely, then there is no lift so you have to move from the 1st floor to the 4th floor in a lonely and very dark staircase, I felt frightened by as African man I was prepared for the worse. But getting to the hotel the room was okay with me, large bedside, nice toilets, good room. But worse still no food, no breakfast etc.
The lift needs to be feet, they need to move their reception to the down floor so that a visit who is coming in for the first time could come inside and see a human being to talk to, if the person is having difficulty opening the can come to his or her aid, I was knocking on the door for over 15 min. Not knowing that the receipt is upstairs they can never know I was around, so is not safe, somebody can easily kidnap a visit like if he discovers that I don't know where am going and there is no how the hotel would be aware of my arrival.

Peaceful and clean. Excellent value for money
Everything ok

The room was comfortable, clean, and well-lit with huge windows, and the location was fantastic (close to great restaurants/cafes, shopping, train stations/downtown, beautiful parks, etc.). There is also breakfast available for purchase, and it was very tasty. But, the absolute jewel of this accommodation is the staff - they were incredibly helpful and informative. We were traveling with a lot of luggage that needed to be shipped ahead to our next destination, and we had a couple logistical challenges that we couldn't resolve (language barriers and lack of cell service), and the staff at Hotel-Pension Rheingold went above and beyond. They helped us find a DHL delivery hub, and when the hub called back to say they couldn't accept the luggage (that we had already delivered and left with them), the staff worked out the issue with DHL (multiple phone calls and a lot of bureaucracy) and arranged for a pick-up that got our bags sorted and on their way. The staff were incredibly generous, patient, and helpful through all the ups and downs of muddling through unfamiliar/foreign systems, not to mention great advice on where to go in the area. All in all, it was a wonderful experience with lovely folks, and we highly recommend this hotel!

Very spacious room with a nice balcony. Everything was very clean and the check in process (aside from the issue with the front door key code) was very easy. Good value for money.
The key code that we were given for the front door did not work and we only managed to get in because another person living in the building entered. Once we had the set of keys for the room, this was fine. One could also smell the drains a little in the bathroom.

Gentle people hold the hotel, always caring if we are ok.
The rooms are at the 4th floor, but there is an elevator.

A little renovation of the property would do a lot of service and benefit with regards to value for money for the hotel

Room was perfect and the location was very convenient.

Man at the Reception was very friendly and compromising.
Hotel was unfortunately completely different from expection and sadly in a negative way, room was stinky, room was also not clean, Heater or Heizung was completely broken but instead of repairing it, they just hid it by putting a lid on it, bathroom was very small and stinky, Room was very noisy. Parking was a big problem there as at first you won't find any parking spot nearby and even if you will find any spot, then it will be very expensive.

Authentic atmosphere of old Berlin, very good location, cosy beakfast room
I missed a small safe and shampoo in the bathroon.
Although I acknowledge that it was high season and 'Messezeit' the price seemed to me rather at the upper end

Wonderful hotel. The receptionist is a very nice man. We checked in late, but they waited for us. It is a quiet and clean area. Nearby there are many cafes with delicious coffee and croissants) The hotel is relatively far from the center, but close to public transport.
There was no small dining table. I had to drink tea on a chair))
