Wie immer schön - eben Hardenberg Burghotel
Es wird gespart! Die Kleinigkeiten, die es so Besonders machten, die fehlen. Die Küche spart im gleichen Maße, dafür steigen die Preise.

Absolutely wonderful hotel, in a quiet place!!! Close to the beautiful 11th century castle ruins. Excellent breakfast !!! Free parking.
4.5
It has a nice view of the castle ruins, the horse track is cool and the staff are relatively friendly.
I think this hotel is very overpriced.
The quality of what you get for the price is not equal at all.
Half of their services are not available even though it does not say so. I booked this hotel on these days as there was no indication that the massage service was not available- even on the leaflets or spa at the hotel. The staff were somewhat friendly but there were a few that seemed very grumpy. The room was very simple and had two beds put together but with a large gap in between so not the most comfortable and with that we only had a view of the courtyard so to have this room with the price does not match to me.

Wonderful breakfast. Beautiful rooms. Nice Staff.

Nice, quiet location near an old castle ruin dating back to the early 1100s. Very nice and comfortable room with modern bathroom. Delicious breakfast. Charging stations for electric cars. Friendly and service-minded staff. Dog friendly. There were bowls for the dog in the room. Also a bed for the dog.
Nothing to dislike.

I love staying at the Hardenberg. Every single employee was so kind and forthcoming. I totally enjoyed the breakfast, it was a relaxing atmosphere, fresh and delicious juices and really delicuios vegan food and cappuccinos. .
One ting beeds to be improved. The wellness area is tiny and ugly and not really worthy of this nice hotel

Receptionist (young man ... name starting with A) went out of his way to make our stay pleasant and made this stay even nicer than usual This is our favorite hotel and we plan our trips through Germany to stop here whenever pissible.
Still no decent hairdryer .... but nothing much else to complain about.

Absolutely excellent hotel in a wonderful location.

it’s located in a very quiet and calm area. The hotel is very nicely decorated and the rooms are spacious but a bit warm. The restaurant is very good and the hotel staff is very friendly. Breakfast is superb.
The rooms are a bit too warm.

quality, cleanness, friendly staff and amazing breakfast.

We have been to this hotel many times before, it's great that the standard has been maintained and the place is taken care of. The service attitude of the staff is particularly good. I recommend a room with a terrace facing the riding arena, it's fun to watch the show jumpers practice. The breakfast at the place has always been really good, and so is now. The local distillery's shop is a recommended destination
Previously, there was also another, more informal restaurant in the building near the distillery. Too bad it was closed. The main restaurant had not quite been able to maintain its previous high standard, as it was now the only restaurant in the place.

Fantastic location close to a beautiful ruin from the 11th century, great for walking. The hotel itself is full of details, we saw flowering cherryblossom trees, a nice warm fireplace where everyone can sit and when it is summer there is plenty of outside space. The room itself is on the small side.
The restaurant of the hotel. They ask Michelin star prices, despite the technical skills of the cook (which were good) the meals were completely cooked without fantasy and tasted bland. The worst price quality I have experienced in a while. Be warned.

The hotel, grounds and interior are old-style and grand. The bird song that could be heard from the surrounds was just lovely.
The sauna, whirlpool baths and relaxation areas are very serene and an easy way to spend a few hours.
The staff at the front desk and in the restaurant were so pleasant and extremely accommodating to every request.
Breakfast, dinner, wine and room service late night snacks were tasty, fresh and well-presented.
Molton Brown toiletries, slippers and robes were a lovely touch!
Overall stay was lovely - just one or two bits of feedback.
Pillows in room were extremely soft, which might not suit everyone.
Also, even though we were a couple and booked a double room, the bed was single beds together rather than a double mattress.
Having to hold down on-button hairdryer while using was a little annoying.
Restaurant is lovely, but prepare to spend a lot.
Drinks were served in the lobby, but we would have liked more speciality cocktails on the menu.

The restaurant is great and the rooms are very pretty and comfortable. The beds are great.
The hair dryer requires a strong thumb - why do they not have a normal hair dryer, that is turned on and off without having to push the on button, while drying your hair - to save money? The rooms are not cheap, so a normal hair dryer must be affordable. Also, this time we had a sliding door to the bathroom and it did not close tight. Been married for many years, but still prefer privacy, when using the bathroom.

Very good
We would have liked a little bit more ambiance/cosyness when we had our pre-dinner drink at the fireplace. After all we drank expensive champagne but were not offered any snacks at all!
For dinner we prefered a different table which was bigger and better for the two of us but could not have same. Afterwards this larger table was occupied by one person only!
Staff were also a little slow with bringing the ordered glasses of wine for the dinner.

Great place and restaurant Novalis and especially the breakfast was excellent.

staff were friendly, service and facilities were excellent and food was all very tasty. a lovely place to stay
4.5
Lovely and comfortable room with great beds (we had a junior suite) and the whole hotel has a great ambience. Nice touch that there was a bed and dog bowls for our dog. This is not the first time we stay in this hotel and we have already booked our next stay, which we look forward to..
It was a great nuisance that one has to press a button on the hair dryer in order for it tto work. Especially as there was not much power in the hairdryer.. After a while my finger was tired and I had to go to dinner with half wet hair. Is it to save electricity, making the guests become too annoyed to fully dry their hair? Then please charge a little more and place a good hair dryer in the room. I hope I will not need to wash and dry my hair next time, we stay in this hotel, because I don't want to have to bring a decent hair dryer along, when travelling and staying in 5-star hotels.
4.5
small and cosy hotel, private access to the castle ruins, excellent restaurant. staff is super friendly
No double beds, just single beds put together and you have to ask for a „love bridge“. Restaurant and spa should be booked in advance so its challenging to be spontaneous.

Superb facilities and the best Eggs Benedict ever!

It was perfect for a stop over. well situated. staff excellent and they accommodated our little one.
The bed was way too soft.

Beautiful place and great rooms with very comfy beds. Also private tour to the castle on the evening.
Price of bottle water!!!

The hotel is very well situated, close to the motorway yet far away so there is no noise (there may be noise from guest parties if is fully booked). The surroundings are very nice with good walking trails and a distillery as a next door neighbor. Free parking although not secured but in a quiet neighborhood.
We did not find the price and quality to match. It is a very nice place but also very pricey compared to other places nearby. The advertised quality restaurant was only partially open with a down-scaled menu card with 2-3 simple choices. The food quality was not worth mentioning and the price was twice what we just paid the day before for a much better quality in another restaurant.
